There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
In this study, the impact of 900 mg Cyplexinol® taken daily on joint pain over a period of 15 days in comparison with a placebo will be determined using a cross-over double blind design with a 13 day wash out period. In addition, we will measure cytokine production and related variables during the two hour after subjects ingest a single dosage of Cyplexinol® or placebo on days 1 and 15.
This clinical trial studies barriers to genetic testing in African American men with prostate cancer and whether tailored, culturally relevant genetic testing education provided by a community-based health coach is beneficial in improving knowledge, attitudes, and awareness of genetic testing. Information gained from this study, may help researchers better understand and learn more about how to increase access to germline genetic testing in underrepresented populations.
The long-term goal of this study is to determine the efficacy of time restricted eating (TRE) for improving metabolic health and preventing endometrial cancer. The primary objective of the protocol is to conduct a 14-week two-arm randomized crossover trial of a dietary intervention to evaluate the feasibility, fidelity and preliminary acceptability of a TRE intervention among Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander women at risk for developing endometrial cancer, and to provide proof of principle that TRE can improve metabolic health in this population.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate a single 15 mg intramuscular (IM) dose of ketorolac for analgesic non-inferiority versus a single 60 mg IM dose for the treatment of acute MSK pain in a military emergency department (ED) that services Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), and foreign military beneficiaries
Approximately, 20 rural primary care practices to participate in a delayed intervention-controlled trial. Phase I: Formal and structured work flow evaluations to better identify specific gaps in processes of care while assessing what on-going training is needed for adoption of high-quality cancer survivorship care in rural practice. These will be incorporated into the ECHO sessions (Aim 1). Phase II: Conduct and test the effectiveness of the novel KanSurvive-ECHO intervention (Aim 2) and finally identify barriers and facilitators to implementation of KanSurvive-ECHO (Aim 3).
TRL1068 is expected to eliminate the pathogen-protecting biofilm in the prosthetic joint and surrounding tissue, thus making these pathogens substantially more susceptible to established antibiotic treatment regimens. This initial study is designed to assess overall safety and pharmacokinetics (PK) of TRL1068. The overall goal of the development program is to demonstrate that TRL1068 can facilitate effectiveness of a single stage joint replacement or preservation of the original infected prosthetic joint in a substantial proportion of patients with PJI.
The purpose of this study is to report the changes in accommodation, aberrations, and myopia in patients wearing multifocal soft contact lens for various durations. The study objectives are to: 1. Determine the effects of wearing multifocal soft contact lens on accommodation and aberrations over a 12-month period. 2. Determine the effect of wearing multifocal soft contact lens on myopia over a 12-month period.
The purpose of this study is to use CBT strategies in assisting patients hospitalized in intensive care units in ventilation wean through a case series of 2 patients.
Patients with an ileal pouch-anal anastomosis(IPAA; pouch) due to refractory inflammatory bowel disease and increased bowel frequency in the absence of significant pouch inflammation will be randomized to liraglutide or placebo in a prospective cross over study.
This prospective, single-arm, multi-center study will collect clinical data in a post-market setting by procedure group (upper gastrointestinal [GI], lower GI, and gynecological). Investigators will perform each procedure using the device in compliance with their standard surgical approach and the ENSEAL X1 Curved Jaw and Generator G11 instructions for use.
