There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to assess the pharmacokinetics, safety, and tolerability following multiple ascending oral doses of ABBV-932 or placebo in healthy adult participants, participants with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and participants with bipolar disorder (BPD).
The purpose of this study is to find a safe, tolerable, and efficacious dose of BMS-986466 when given orally, in combination with adagrasib with or without cetuximab in participants with advanced KRAS G12C-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), pancreatic duct adenocarcinoma (PDAC), biliary tract cancer (BTC), or colorectal cancer (CRC).
This study is being done to answer the question: Does the use of statin lipid-lowering medication change the effect of influenza vaccine? The research team will use the knowledge gained from answering this question to understand how this medication affects long-lasting immune responses to vaccines. The researchers will study the immune response to the influenza vaccine in the blood (where antibodies are). The team will also look at how statin therapy affects the bacteria that live in the gut by collecting stool samples. To be in this research, participants must be adults willing to receive vaccines.
This is a study that aims to test a coping skills intervention delivered via brief animated videos for Chinese and Chinese American college students.
The goal of this clinical trial is to understand varying in responses to different dietary patterns in healthy people who are getting a health screening colonoscopy. The main questions it aims to answer are: - What is the variability in the change of the microbes in the gut of (1) a provided diet that is high in fiber vs (2) a diet of the participant's choice. - What is the magnitude of fasting changes in glucose and lipids following the short-term, high-fiber feeding period and identify candidate predictive factors (short-chain fatty acids, BMI, sex, starting glucose level) for these changes Participants will be in one of two groups: 1. High-fiber diet group: These participants will have a series of measurements that include: blood biochemistries, body composition measured via DEXA, anthropometrics, surveys and questionnaires, and collection of fecal samples. 2. Normal diet group: These participants will eat a diet that is of their choosing (ad libitum) and will have a series of measurements that include: fecal samples, and questionnaires/surveys including food records.
The purpose of this research study is to learn more about the relationship between Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and Normal Tension Glaucoma (NTG). OSA is a nighttime disorder of the upper airway that causes an intermittent lack of oxygen while sleeping. NTG is a type of glaucoma that occurs despite the normal intraocular pressure levels, making its detection more difficult. Left untreated, irreversible optic nerve damage and extensive vision loss can result. Previous research has shown some evidence between OSA and the development of NTG. The investigators are researching whether undergoing treatment for OSA would help to improve the vascular health to the retina, and in effect, improve the early signs of visual dysfunction seen with diagnostic testing.
The goal of this behavioral clinical trial is to compare two different ways of becoming less sedentary and more active in 60 older adults at elevated risk of becoming frail. The main question this project aims to answer are whether participants in each intervention are able to gradually replace 30 minutes of sedentary (sitting-like) behavior with very light walking over 60 days. There are other questions this project aims to answer that include: 1. whether it is easier to replace sedentary behavior with one 30-minute walking bout or three 10-minute walking bouts 2. whether becoming less sedentary and more active leads to feeling better, have less stress, pain, and fatigue and have more confidence in becoming more regularly active 3. whether becoming less sedentary and more active leads to better regulation of inflammation and metabolism Participants will be randomized into one of two sedentary reduction behavior programs; one program that gradually replaces sedentary time with one 30-minute walking bout and the other program that gradually replaces sedentary time with three 10-minute walking bouts in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Researchers will compare both programs to see which one is easier to achieve and maintain over 60 days.
The objective of this trial is to test whether a smartphone app, SMART-IBD, is effective in improving medication adherence and self-management skills in adolescents with IBD. The investigators will conduct a randomized control trial to compare a sample of 15 youth (ages 13-17) with IBD using an app that has educational content and medication reminders to 15 youth in an attention control group. The length of the intervention will include one month of baseline adherence data collection, one month of intervention, and one month of post-treatment adherence data collection.
This is a phase I-II study to determine safety and efficacy of combining liposomal irinotecan with vincristine alternating with VAC in intermediate-risk patients, liposomal irinotecan with temozolomide and vincristine alternating with VAC in high-risk patients and the chemotherapy combinations when given with concomitant radiation therapy in intermediate and high risk patients. Primary Objective - The primary objective of the Phase I part is to estimate the maximum tolerated doses (MTDs) and recommended Phase II doses (RP2Ds) of combining liposomal irinotecan with vincristine alternating with VAC in intermediate-risk patients, liposomal irinotecan with temozolomide and vincristine alternating with VAC in high-risk patients and the chemotherapy combinations when given with concomitant radiation therapy in intermediate and high risk patients. - Estimate event-free survival for intermediate-risk participants treated with VAC and vincristine and liposomal irinotecan (VLI) with the addition of maintenance therapy with vinorelbine and cyclophosphamide. - Estimate the event-free survival for high-risk patients treated with VAC and vincristine, liposomal irinotecan, and temozolomide with the addition of maintenance therapy with vinorelbine and cyclophosphamide. - Estimate the local recurrence rate for unresected intermediate- and high-risk patients with initial tumor size with ≥5 cm randomized to between 59.4 GyRBE and 68 GyRBE total proton radiation dose while receiving VAC/VLI (intermediate-risk) or VAC/VLI plus temozolomide (high-risk) and maintenance therapy. Secondary Objectives - To assess the relation between pharmacogenetic variation in CEP72 genotype and vinca alkaloid (vincristine; vinorelbine) disposition in children with rhabdomyosarcoma. - To assess the relation between the pharmacogenetic variation in drug metabolizing enzymes and drug transporters, and the pharmacokinetics of vinca alkaloids, liposomal irinotecan, and cyclophosphamide in children with rhabdomyosarcoma. - To assess the extent of inter-patient variability in the pharmacokinetics of vinca alkaloids, liposomal irinotecan, and cyclophosphamide in children with rhabdomyosarcoma, and explore possible associations between drug disposition and patient specific covariates (e.g., age, sex, race, weight). - Estimate the cumulative incidence of local recurrence in patients with low-risk disease treated with either no adjuvant radiation or minimal volume radiation.
This is a randomized study to test a smartphone app that a pharmacist will use to help kidney transplant patients track their medications, blood pressures, and blood sugars in those with diabetes. The goal of this study is to improve care and outcomes in kidney transplant patients and, in particular, help African American patients have better outcomes after transplant.
