The goal of this study is to partner with individuals known or suspected to have pancreatic cancer to build a biobank dedicated to minimizing disparities and personalizing care for individuals affected by pancreatic cancer. A biobank is a resource that involves collection, processing and storage of blood, other bodily fluids, and tissue.

Electronic symptom tracking and feedback is a promising strategy to improve symptom control. Electronic patient reported outcome (ePRO) monitoring of cancer symptoms has been shown to decrease symptom burden, improve quality of life, reduce acute care and even extend survival. This study is a multinational Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, non-inferiority, efficacy and safety study of oral HC-1119 (80 mg/day) versus enzalutamide (160 mg/day) in asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic patients with progressive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). The following assessment of prostate cancer status will be collected during the course of the trial: soft tissue disease on computed tomography (CT) scan or on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), bone disease on radionuclide bone scans, FACT-P and EQ-5D, Brief Fatigue Inventory, and PSA. Throughout the study, safety and tolerability will be assessed by the recording of adverse events, monitoring of vital signs and physical examinations, safety laboratory evaluations, and 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECGs). Blood samples for population pharmacokinetics for HC-1119 and enzalutamide and related metabolites will be collected.

The MELODY Trial: Modulating Early Life Microbiome through Dietary Intervention in Crohn's Disease, will test whether a non-invasive dietary intervention during pregnancy can improve the gut microbiota composition in both pregnant Crohn's disease patients and their babies during the sensitive time window of infant immune system development, and whether this can lead to decreased risk of maternal disease relapse postpartum and decreased functional gastrointestinal disorders and gut inflammation in their babies. Through this trial, the study team hopes to better understand the origin of the initial gut bacterial colonization in babies, providing potential intervention targets to prevent Crohn's disease development in high risk individuals.
Ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin are both in guidelines to use for prophylaxis in autologous and allogeneic Stem cell transplant.Ciprofloxacin was recently replaced by levofloxacin as the preferred agent in some transplant centers. In some small retrospective studies ciprofloxacin prophylaxis was associated with a higher rate of breakthrough gram positive bloodstream infections. However, the optimum oral agent for antibacterial prophylaxis in transplant recipients remains uncertain.

Patients less than or equal to 21 years old with high-risk hematologic malignancies who would likely benefit from allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT). Patients with a suitable HLA matched sibling or unrelated donor identified will be eligible for participation ONLY if the donor is not available in the necessary time. The purpose of the study is to learn more about the effects (good and bad) of transplanting blood cells donated by a family member, and that have been modified in a laboratory to remove the type of T cells known to cause graft-vs.-host disease, to children and young adults with a high risk cancer that is in remission but is at high risk of relapse. This study will give donor cells that have been TCRαβ-depleted. The TCR (T-cell receptor) is a molecule that is found only on T cells. These T-cell receptors are made up of two proteins that are linked together. About 95% of all T-cells have a TCR that is composed of an alpha protein linked to a beta protein, and these will be removed. This leaves only the T cells that have a TCR made up of a gamma protein linked to a delta protein. This donor cell infusion will be followed by an additional infusion of donor memory cells (CD45RA-depleted) after donor cell engraftment. This study will be testing the safety and effects of the chemotherapy and the donor blood cell infusions on the transplant recipient's disease and overall survival.
Compelling evidence indicates inflammation plays a role in depression, but potential mechanisms linking inflammation to depression, such as dysregulated reward processing, are poorly understood. This study comprehensively evaluates effects of inflammation on reward across dimensions (e.g., anticipating versus receiving a reward) and types (e.g., money vs. smiling faces) in younger and older women. Characterizing how inflammation shapes the dynamic and multidimensional reward system, and how this may differ by age, may give insight into risk factors for depression and help identify critical points for intervention.
