The purpose of this clinical trial is to better understand how people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) respond to gradual dose reduction, or "tapering", of steroid medications like prednisone. Some people with RA have symptoms when steroid dose is reduced, while others don't. This trial will look at different patient characteristics, including levels of inflammation in the body, differences in the way the brain processes sensory information, and certain hormone levels, to help researchers better understand why different people have these different responses to steroid tapering. The hypotheses include: - Greater or equal to ( ) 30% of participants in each arm will develop taper intolerance (either subjective, objective, or both) during the study period - Greater or equal to 60% of participants will reduce Glucocorticoid dose by at least 5 Milligrams per day during the study period
The goal of this observational study is to find out if researchers can measure oxygen consumption in the body without having to draw blood from lines in arteries and central veins. Participants will undergo measurements of arterial blood oxygen saturation using both finger and neck pulse oximeters.
Neurogenic overactive bladder (NOAB), characterized by urinary frequency, urgency or urgency incontinence symptoms occurring during the storage phase of the bladder, is the most common urinary complaint in multiple sclerosis (MS). Current management options for NOAB in MS have limited efficacy and considerable adverse effects, which underscores the significance of this study and highlights the need for better, less invasive therapies. This novel study investigates brain therapeutic targets that could shift the focus of NOAB management in MS from a bladder-centric focus to brain restoration; specifically modulating the brain regions identified in the prior functional magnetic resonance imagining studies. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a noninvasive brain stimulation that can modulate neurons (excite or inhibit) to improve the connectivity of the regions of interest (ROI). The preliminary data demonstrate, for the first time, significant improvement in bladder symptoms in ten women with MS who have voiding dysfunction following multifocal transcranial magnetic stimulation without any treatment-related adverse effects. This randomized double-blind, sham-controlled single center clinical trial with an optional open-label extension (OLE) phase is designed to evaluate the effects of targeted rTMS in women with MS and NOAB by investigating restorative reorganization of brain function The main purpose of this study is to determine the effects of individualized repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) for improving overactive bladder symptoms such as urinary frequency and urgency with or without incontinence in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). Patients will undergo initial screening that includes a demographics information, physical exam, past medical and surgical history, medication list, urine pregnancy test (female subjects with childbearing potential), and completion of questionnaires to confirm the eligibility of patients. All eligible patients will be required to complete a functional MRI scan followed by locating the regions of interest through neural navigation system and finally receiving 10 treatment sessions. Since this is a randomized trial, some patients will receive active treatment/ therapy sessions while others will only receive sham or placebo treatments. The total duration to complete all treatment sessions and follow up visits is approximately 4-5 months.
Starting at puberty, female adolescents are nearly three-times more likely to develop internalizing disorders, like depression, while male adolescents are two-times more likely to develop externalizing disorders, like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This divergence between the sexes during puberty suggests sex-specific pathways of risk and differential effects of sex hormones. The purpose of this research is to determine: 1) sex-specific neural and endocrine features of the pubertal transition that may mediate sex differences in adolescent mood disorders, and 2) the neurophysiological basis of susceptibility to hormone change during puberty.

This is a multicenter randomized, open label study to evaluate overall survival with the Bria-IMT regimen in combination with Checkpoint Inhibitor [Retifanlimab], versus Treatment of Patients'/Physicians' Choice (TPC) in advanced metastatic or locally recurrent breast cancer (aMBC) patients with no approved alternative therapies available.
The goal of this observational study is to learn how clinicians use osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) for their patients who have problems only related to their muscles, bones, and joints (ie, musculoskeletal problems) compared to patients whose problems involve other body systems (eg, infections, breathing, bowel function). The main questions it aims to answer are: - What percentage of patients receiving OMT have a non-musculoskeletal problem? - Is there a difference in the OMT techniques when the patient's problems include a non-musculoskeletal problem compared to patients with only musculoskeletal problems? Surveys will be completed by the clinicians about 20 unique adult (age 18 or older) patients who have received OMT.
This study will administer the investigational drug, BDTX-1535 to eligible patients with recurrent high-grade glioma. BDTX-1535 was designed to block a growth signal important to some cancers. BDTX-1535 is being tested in this study to see if it can be given safely to people who have tumors that can be dependent on that growth signal because of changes in a protein called EGFR. These gene changes are called amplifications, mutations, fusions or alterations and are found only in the tumors.
