NCT ID: NCT04925232 Completed - Clinical trials for Visual Snow Syndrome

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation For Visual Snow Syndrome

TMSVS
Start date: August 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to investigate the feasibility of the use of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for symptoms associated with Visual Snow syndrome (VS).

NCT ID: NCT04925076 Completed - Clinical trials for Effects of Family History of Alcoholism and Sex on Alcohol Analgesia

Characterizing the Effects of Family History of Alcoholism on Alcohol Analgesia

Start date: November 20, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Self-medication of pain with alcohol is a common, yet risky, behavior. Evidence suggests family history of alcoholism may affect the degree to which alcohol use relieves pain, but the independent contributions of expectation and conditioning have not been previously studied. Interactive effects of sex and family history are also currently unclear. This project addresses this gap in knowledge and will inform further research and clinical/translational efforts for reducing risk associated with these behaviors.

NCT ID: NCT04924660 Completed - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

Novel Experimental COVID-19 Therapies Affecting Host Response

NECTAR
Start date: July 15, 2021
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The overarching goal of the Master Protocol is to find effective strategies for inpatient management of patients with COVID-19. Therapeutic goals for patients hospitalized for COVID-19 include hastening recovery and preventing progression to critical illness, multiorgan failure, or death. Our objective is to determine whether modulating the host tissue response improves clinical outcomes among patients with COVID-19.

NCT ID: NCT04924582 Completed - Dialysis Clinical Trials

Learning From Our Patients, Learning From Our Practice: Implementing an Intervention to Support Patients on Dialysis

Start date: July 23, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this research is to gather preliminary estimates of the impact of using Capacity Coaching as an intervention for patients receiving dialysis.

NCT ID: NCT04924283 Completed - Alcohol Drinking Clinical Trials

Cognitive Interference Task on Alcohol Craving and Consumption

Start date: June 25, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to test a brief task of playing the game Tetris to reduce alcohol cravings and alcohol use. Women who are seen at primary care and recruited through the community will be asked to rate alcohol craving and use for a 1-week baseline period. Then they will be randomly assigned to play the Tetris game on their phones daily or to a control condition for a 2-week period. Participants will also complete a cue-reactivity task, that involves viewing pictures of alcohol and rating cravings.

NCT ID: NCT04924153 Completed - Clinical trials for KCNT1-Related Epilepsy

A Natural History Study of Participants With Potassium Sodium-Activated Channel Subfamily T Member 1 (KCNT1)-Related Epilepsy

K1Te
Start date: August 17, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The primary objective of the study is to characterize seizures in participants with KCNT1-related epilepsy. The secondary objectives are to characterize head growth, symptom severity, neurocognitive and social functions, adaptive behavior, sleep, quality of life, caregiver burden, and mood in participants with KCNT1-related epilepsy.

NCT ID: NCT04924140 Completed - Healthy Volunteers Clinical Trials

A Study to Assess Absolute Bioavailability of Aducanumab in Healthy Volunteers

Start date: June 30, 2021
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the absolute bioavailability of a single, fixed subcutaneous (SC) dose of aducanumab compared with a single weight-based intravenous (IV) dose of aducanumab in healthy volunteers. The secondary objectives of this study are to assess the safety and tolerability of aducanumab administered SC in healthy volunteers and to characterize additional pharmacokinetic (PK) parameters of a single, fixed SC dose of aducanumab and a weight-based IV dose of aducanumab in healthy volunteers.

NCT ID: NCT04924114 Completed - Ulcerative Colitis Clinical Trials

A Study of MK-6194 (PT101) in Participants With Active Ulcerative Colitis (UC) (MK-6194-002)

Start date: October 14, 2021
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and immunogenicity of MK-6194 in participants with active UC.

NCT ID: NCT04924036 Completed - Amputation Clinical Trials

Qbrexza Cloths for Hyperhidrosis of Amputation Sites

Start date: September 27, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Prospective, Double Blinded, Placebo Controlled, Randomized, Cross-over trial using Qbrexza Cloths to treat hyperhidrosis of amputation sites. There is a 2 week screening period where patients will use an activity monitor to establish baseline activity level, then patients will be randomized to receive either Qbrexza cloths or placebo for 4 weeks, then a 2 week washout, and then a 4-week cross-over treatment period.

NCT ID: NCT04923971 Completed - Hypothermia Clinical Trials

Safety and Performance Monitoring During Occupational Work II

COBRAII
Start date: May 28, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

BHSAI is developing a computational system that provides early alerts of a rise and fall in core body temperature to help reduce the risk of thermal injury in the field and during training. The goal of the body temperature alerting system is to use it during rest, exercise in the heat and cold. Therefore, the primary purpose of this investigation is to validate a body temperature alerting system using physiological responses that occur during rest and exercise in different cold environments. Multiple cold ambient temperatures will be validated.
