There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Retrospective analysis to evaluate impact of an in-home addiction treatment program on first responders with substance use disorder.
This study is designed to determine the accuracy of the Preview Rapid Strep A Test compared to a laboratory reference method for Group A Streptococcal infection and to determine the precision of the Preview Rapid Strep A test.
ANCA vasculitis is a pauci-immune systemic small vessel vasculitis. The anti-neutrophilic cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) are pathogenic and cause disease by activating neutrophils which damage blood vessels. CD means "cluster of differentiation" . CD5 is a type I transmembrane protein found on T cells, thymocytes, and some B cells. CD20 is a type III transmembrane protein found on B cells. The investigators previously detected an association between recovery of Interleukin 10 (IL-10)-secreting CD20+ and CD5+ regulatory B cells after immunotherapy (with rituximab and corticosteroids) and decreased risk of subsequent relapse in patients with ANCA-vasculitis. The investigators hypothesize that patients with complete reconstitution of a functional regulatory B cell repertoire after induction therapy are at low risk of relapse and may be monitored conservatively without further immunotherapy. The investigators will test this hypothesis through a proof of concept randomized controlled study. Patients with normalization of CD5+ regulatory B cells will be randomized to maintenance therapy with rituximab vs. close observation without immunosuppression. Patients whose peripheral CD5+ regulatory B cells remain low after induction therapy (who are at higher risk of relapse), will receive maintenance immunosuppression with rituximab. Patients needing or randomized to maintenance therapy who are unable to receive rituximab will receive azathioprine or mycophenolate mofetil, two standard alternative medications for maintenance immunosuppression.
Patients >18 years of age presenting to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center Emergency department with stroke symptoms, within 6 hours of last know well and found to have acute anterior circulation large vessel occlusion (LVO) will be included in this study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the differential expression of exosomal microRNAs in patients with stroke due to acute LVO as compared to healthy controls. In addition, the investigators will also evaluate the differential expression of exosomal microRNA in patients with good vs poor collateral grade.
This is a multi center, Phase I, Phase II and surgical study of the CX-4945 drug (silmitasertib sodium) for patients with recurrent SHH (Sonic Hedgehog) medulloblastoma
This phase I study hopes to explore how safe and tolerable is the combination of gemtuzumab ozogamicin (GO) and midostaurin, with the standard induction therapy (cytarabine and daunorubicin) in patients with newly diagnosed FLT-3 mutated Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). GO is FDA approved for the treatment of adults with newly diagnosed CD33 positive AML and used in combination with chemotherapy, cytarabine and daunorubicin. Midostaurin is FDA approved for use with cytarabine and daunorubicin in patients with FLT3-mutated AML. By combining standard induction therapy with GO and midostaurin, our aim is to investigate a novel approach to treating patients with newly diagnosed FLT3-mutated AML.
This phase II trial studies how well aspirin and rintatolimod with or without interferon-alpha 2b work in treating patients with prostate cancer before surgery. Aspirin may help to keep the prostate cancer from coming back. Rintatolimod may stimulate the immune system and interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Interferon-alpha 2b may improve the body's natural response to infections and may slow tumor growth. It is not yet known how well rintatolimod, aspirin, and interferon-alpha 2b work in treating patients with prostate cancer undergoing surgery.
Vertigo is among the most common symptoms associated with migraine and affects 26.5% of migraine sufferers, leading to a dramatic impact in life limiting even the most simple activities. A new device, the OtoBand, a transcranial vibrating system, has been shown to mitigate and sometimes prevent vertigo and nausea in healthy subjects. The current study aims to determine if the Otoband can treat or reduce symptoms of Migraine Associated Vertigo (MAV).
This phase II trial studies how well olaparib and ceralasertib (AZD6738) work in treating patients with IDH mutant cholangiocarcinoma or solid tumors. Cancer is caused by changes (mutations) to genes that control the way cells function. Laboratory studies have shown that olaparib and AZD6738 can shrink IDH mutant tumors or stop them from growing. Olaparib and ceralasertib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
A prospective, multi-center, randomized, self-controlled, single-blinded, clinical study evaluating the NanoMetalene implant as compared to the PEEK and allograft implants in ACDF for the treatment of cervical degenerative disc disease (DDD).
