NCT ID: NCT05234372 Completed - COVID-19 Pandemic Clinical Trials

MiVacunaLA: an Intervention to Improve COVID-19 Vaccination Behaviors Among Latinos

Start date: July 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to determine whether a community-informed, linguistically and culturally tailored educational program delivered via mobile phone is effective in improving vaccination behaviors among Latino families. Thus we evaluate a community-based mobile phone intervention (mivacunaLA) to assess if there is an increase in vaccination rates among 12-17 year old children and willingness to vaccinate 2-11year old children who have not been previously vaccinated who reside in high-risk and low resourced neighborhoods in Los Angeles.

The Impact of a Polyphenol-Rich Supplement on Epigenetic and Cellular Markers of Immune Age

Start date: March 25, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective, interventional, single-arm, open-label pilot study of 50 patients to evaluate the effect of a polyphenol-rich nutritional supplement on epigenetic and cellular markers of immune age.

NCT ID: NCT05233865 Completed - Clinical trials for Orthostatic Hypotension

Hemodynamic Effects During Land vs Water Exercise for Older Adults With Orthostatic Hypotension

Start date: October 19, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to understand how blood pressure, heart rate, and symptoms of low blood pressure (such as dizziness or nausea) are affected by positional changes and exercise when on land or in the water for people who tend to experience orthostatic hypotension.

NCT ID: NCT05233813 Completed - Well Aging Clinical Trials

Active Body and Mind Intervention for Older Adults

Start date: September 13, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness and acceptability of wearable activity trackers with self-regulatory techniques for promoting physical activity (PA) in older adults. In addition, this study aimed to investigate the impact of a multicomponent PA intervention on life satisfaction, happiness, eudaimonic well-being, and depressive symptoms, reflecting different dimensions of psychological well-being, in older adults.

NCT ID: NCT05233774 Completed - Clinical trials for Mild Alzheimer's Disease

Lomecel-B Effects on Alzheimer's Disease

CLEARMIND
Start date: December 28, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Dementia resulting from AD is associated with vascular function decline and involves a pro-inflammatory state. In our Phase 1 trial, Lomecel-B treatment met the primary safety endpoint, with no safety concerns, and showed potential to improve clinical assessments. Mechanistically, Lomecel-B treated subjects had higher serum concentrations of pro-vascular and anti-inflammatory biomarkers relative to placebo. This trial builds upon those preliminary Phase 1 results, and is designed to evaluate the safety profile of multiple infusions of Lomecel-B, and to investigate provisional efficacy of single dosing versus multiple dosing of Lomecel-B on cognitive function and biomarkers in AD subjects.

NCT ID: NCT05233748 Completed - Cerebral Palsy Clinical Trials

Neuromotor Control During Walking in Children With Cerebral Palsy

Start date: October 30, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

One out of every three children with cerebral palsy (CP) falls daily, with more than half of the falls occurring while walking. To avoid falling, the nervous system must continuously monitor how the body moves and, when an imbalance is detected, activate muscles for an appropriate correction. In this project, we will use small electrical stimulation of muscles and tendons that enhances the sense of body positioning, to allow children with CP to generate more accurate balance corrections.
