There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Background: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of PMR and nature sounds on nursing students' BPM skills, and anxiety levels and vital signs. Methods: This was a randomized controlled experimental study conducted at the nursing department of the faculty of health sciences of a university. PMR participants rested for ten minutes between the sessions and then practiced PMR for 15 minutes. PMR+NS participants practiced PMR accompanied by nature sounds.
The purpose of this study is to determine the Turkish version of the Shoulder Rating Questionnaire (SRQ) and assign reliability and validity in Turkish patients.
Cerebral palsy (CP), which is the largest group of patients among pediatric neuromuscular diseases, is a non-progressive permanent disorder that affects muscle control, movement, posture and balance. The purpose of this study; to evaluate the reliability of photographic posture analysis in the sitting position in children with CP and to examine the relationship between the results of photographic posture analysis with the motor performances and trunk control of children with CP.Children with CP were included in the study according to the following criteria; aged 5-12 years, diagnosed as spastic diplegia or hemiplegia , having a level of "I, II, III" according to GMFCS. Postural evaluation was done using the photographic method. Trunk control was evaluated with Trunk Control Measurement Scale,Motor performance of children was evaluated with Gross Motor Function Measure-88. ICC values for photographic posture analysis was found to be highly reliable.
COVID-19 is a disease whose development, prognosis mechanism and immune status are still unknown. The aim of the study is to determine the relationship between clinical and laboratory data and the severity of the disease by evaluating the hematological and radiological features of the patients. The secondary aim is to determine the predictive values of clinical and laboratory data for the severity of COVID-19.
Parental Smartphone Use Management Scale (PSUMS) was originally developed in English language to parents to educate adolescents and communicate with them about online behavior and safety, as well as to conduct plans to manage adolescents' internet and smartphone use. The purpose of this study was to translate and cross-culturally adapt the PSUMS.
This study aimed to evaluate the impacts of coronal restorations of endodontic treated posterior teeth (ETPT) on the satisfaction and quality of patient's life. The patients who were chosen for this purpose were asked to fill in 3 questionnaires.Electronic charts and files of patients who received endodontic treatment in our faculty between 2018 and 2020 were reviewed and chosen. The patients included in the study had been treated by the same endodontist and restorative dental specialist. The coronal restoration of the ETPT had to be either direct composite restoration (DCR) or indirect ceramic restoration (ICR). When the data of patient files and database systems were combined, 76 patients were deemed fit for this study. The patients were contacted by phone to request participation in the study. A rendezvous was created for the patients who agreed to get involved in the study, and those who came to the appointment filled in the questionnaires. Demographics, the semantic differential scale, and the OHIP-14 scores provided data that were entered into Minitab 18 software.
This study was carried out to investigate the relationship between pain, anxiety and fatigue and knee position sense, balance and dual task performance during menstrual cycle in females with Multiple Sclerosis (FwMS). In the neurologic group, especially in MS patients, it is well known that disease activity, course, and symptoms can be influenced by the menstrual cycle. Previous studies have reported that the fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone during the menstrual cycle may have an effect on several neurological functions. Menstrual-related symptomatology has primarily been studied as a physiological phenomenon. Increased neurological symptoms, physical disorders and behavioral changes have been reported just before or at the beginning of menstruation in FwMS. For all these reasons, investigators think that relationship between pain, anxiety and fatigue and knee position sense, balance and dual task performance during menstrual cycle in FwMS.
Morbidity, mortality and progress depends on systemic inflammation especially in ARDS patients. Previous studies claims that the proportion of mean platellet volume to platellet which can simply be determined with simple blood tests that are performed at admission, might predict the mortality in ARDS patients. Covid-19 pneumonia has a very similar clinical outlook with ARDS. Therefore we decided to research whether that proportion is legitimate for detecting the progress of Covid-19 pneumonia or not.
The increasing demand for whitening teeth necessitates requirements and guidelines to ensure the efficacy of products and bleaching techniques. So far there is no comparative study to evaluate the effectiveness of pre-operative air-powder polishing device (APD) and rubber-cup prophylaxis on tooth bleaching in-office. Office-bleaching has some advantages such as avoiding soft tissue irritation, preventing the use of excess material and producing immediate esthetic results. The aim this study is to compare the effects of pre-operative air-powder polishing and rubber-cup prophylaxis on tooth bleaching outcomes. The null hypothesis of this research was that there would be no difference in the change in according to the type of prophylaxis on tooth-bleaching outcomes.△L,△a,△b,△E and △SGU. The results of the study show that both rubber cup prophylaxis and APD devices can be equally used before bleaching treatment as there were no statistical differences in color change.
Different amounts of anesthetic gas can be used in the obstetric gynecological surgery operations to be performed with open method. Researchers aimed to compare the effect of gas changes on intraocular nerve diameter by ultrasonography.
