There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
It is aimed to prevent the development of oral mucositis or to reduce the severity of developing oral mucositis with the training to be given to patients receiving chemotherapy according to the Neuman systems model.
Aim: The aim of this study is to reveal the effect of education given to women about cervical cancer on knowledge, attitude and belief. Material and Method: This randomized controlled study was conducted with 130 who had a public hospital located in Southeast Turkey (51 experimental, 51 control).
This research is a randomized controlled experimental study to determine the effect of pranayama breathing exercise applied to caregivers of cancer patients on fatigue.
False positive results are commonly observed in women after exercise treadmill test (ETT). The effects of menstrual periodic changes on the results of exercise treadmill test in premenopausal women have not been clearly defined. Primary purpose of the study is to investigate the biological causes of false positive test results in the treadmill exercise test in premenopausal women. Estrogen is known to have direct vasodilatory effects on coronary arteries. Early and late follicular phases of the menstrual cycle are characterized by low and high estrogen levels, respectively. The Early Follicular Phase starts on the first day of the menstrual cycle and ends when oestradiol begins to increase. It is characterised by increasing LH and FSH and constant low levels of oestradiol. The late follicular phase starts with the increase in oestradiol and ends at its preovulatory peak. The hypothesis of the study is that ETT results will change at the early and late follicular phases in premenstrual women. Premenopausal women between the ages of 18-40, who apply to the cardiology outpatient clinics of Göztepe City Hospital with typical/atypical chest pain, and an indication for ETT will be included in the study. ETT will be performed in the early and late follicular phases of the menstrual cycle, separately.
The purpose of this study is to measure the long-term safety and tolerability of ianalumab in participants with Sjogrens syndrome who have previously completed treatment from one of two NEPTUNUS 1 year core studies (CVAY736A2301 or CVAY736A2302). - The study treatment is ianalumab 300 mg in a 2 mL pre-filled syringe for injection. All participants will receive ianalumab either monthly or every 3 months. - The treatment duration will be 3 years with an additional up to 2-year safety follow-up. The total duration of this extension study will be up to 5 years. - The visit frequency will be monthly during both the treatment period and mandatory follow-up, and then less frequently during the subsequent conditional follow-up Treatment of interest: The randomized treatment (ianalumab) will be received monthly or every 3 months. Participants assigned to treatment every 3 months will receive placebo every month between the ianalumab doses to maintain blinding. Number of Participants: Approximately 600 participants from the NEPTUNUS core studies will be rolled over into the extension study. Treatment Groups:There will be no screening period in this trial. From Week 48 of the NEPTUNUS core study, participants will be given the opportunity to consent to this extension study. From Week 52 of the NEPTUNUS core studies (i.e., Day 1 in the extension study), eligible participants will be assigned to either one of the treatment regimens: - ianalumab 300 mg monthly or - ianalumab 300 mg once every 3 months Participants receiving placebo in either of the NEPTUNUS core studies will be randomized 1:1 to receive ianalumab 300 mg monthly or every 3 months starting from Week 60 and participants receiving ianalumab in either of the NEPTUNUS core studies will continue the same treatment in the extension study. Ianalumab will be given as a subcutaneous injection from a 2 mL pre-filled syringe. Participants will be given the opportunity to self-inject at home on some visits after receiving training.
The vertebral column is a structure that transfers the weight of the head and torso to the lower extremity, provides trunk movements and protects the spinal cord.A three dimensional deformity involving lateral flexion of the vertebrae in the frontal plane at 10 ° and above, including axial rotation and physiologic flexion (hypokyphosis) components in the sagittal plane, is defined as scoliosis. Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is a type of idiopathic scoliosis that occurs in the period from the onset of puberty (up to 10 years) until the closure of growth plates. Scoliosis is caused by postural, balance and neuromotor disorders as a primary cause of impaired sensory integrity, proprioceptive feedback deficits, secondary lung problems, organ disorders and pain. In addition, the quality of life in these individuals is also seen to decrease. There are no studies in the literature examining the effects of Schroth exercise training on trunk muscle strength, respiratory muscle strength, trunk muscle stiffness, balance and quality of life in children with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. The aim of our study is to examine whether Schroth exercise training has an effect on trunk muscle strength, trunk muscle stiffness, respiratory muscle strength, balance, quality of life and perception of cosmetic deformity in children with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. It is thought that this study will fill the gap in the literature with the original information it will bring to the literature and will shed light on future studies.
This research is a randomized controlled experimental study to determine the effect of pranayama breathing exercise applied to patients with lung cancer on quality of life.
The aim of this study to predict carbapenem resistant Klebsiella spp. earlier in our patients monitored in our Intensive Care Unit in the future, using artificial intelligence. Patients with bloodstream infection and pneumonia caused by Klebsiella spp. will be comparatively examined in two groups, as sensitive and resistant. Resistance will be attempted to be predicted with deep machine learning.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune and inflammatory disease. The pathogenesis of SLE results from interactions between genes, hormones, and the environment; however, the exact etiology is unknown. SLE can affect many organs and systems, including the musculoskeletal, hematological, renal, neuropsychiatric, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, and skin. Non-specific general complaints such as malaise, fatigue, arthralgia, anxiety, depression, fever, and weight loss are evident at the onset of the disease and during the activation periods. Patients experience hopelessness due to the complexity of the symptoms and the chronic and progressive nature of the disease, and they experience deterioration in their quality of life due to the interaction of anxiety and depression findings with other symptoms. SLE is a difficult disease to manage because of the different organ and system involvement processes. In addition, these symptoms of the disease and the nature of chronic pain, including central sensitization, cause it to accompany a process that is affected by the mood of the person. Some patients present to a rheumatologist with mild symptoms, while others may present with severe, life-threatening symptoms. The onset of the disease before the age of 18 is defined as childhood onset (juvenile). Childhood-onset SLE accounts for approximately 1/5 of SLE patients. It is known that the main mechanism in the formation of the disease is the production of more than one autoantibody. Although childhood SLE (jSLE) appears to be basically the same disease with similar etiology, pathogenesis, and laboratory findings as in adults, there are differences in the frequency and severity of clinical manifestations. In this respect, the clearest finding is that children with SLE have greater disease severity and earlier disease-related organ damage than adults with SLE. Studies on the disease show that patients with jSLE have not only physical but also cognitive effects. The aim of our study is to examine the effects of exercises applied with a dual-task approach on patients' physical and cognitive status in jSLE cases.
The purpose of eVOLVE-Lung02 is to test the effectiveness (efficacy) and measure the safety of volrustomig in combination with chemotherapy compared with pembrolizumab in combination with chemotherapy as 1L treatment in participants with mNSCLC in PD-L1 < 50%.
