Patients with COPD that a pulmonologist classifies between Stage 1-2 in accordance with the GOLD criteria and age and gender-matched healthy individuals will be included in the study. In both groups (n = COPD: 17, Healthy: 17), aerobic exercise (AE) in the target heart rate range of 50% intensity, performed by cycling accompanied by blood flow restriction, will be applied.

Urge urinary incontinence (UUI) is a common health problem. Changes in collagen metabolism in pelvic support organs, such as uterosacral ligaments (USLs), might be responsible for the complex pathophysiology of UUI. The TGF-β pathway is involved in collagen synthesis and degradation. The Transforming Growth Family- β (TGF-β) superfamily has essential intracellular signaling components, such as newly identified SMAD family members. We evaluated the changes in the levels of TGF-β and SMAD gene and protein expression in the USL of patients with concomitant pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and UUI.

Irisin is a myokine induced by exercise, that converts white fat tissue to brown fat tissue, thereby increases thermogenesis and energy expenditure. The aim of this study is to determine the relationships between serum irisin levels and glucose and lipid parameters in obese children with and without non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). A total of 60 pubertal obese children (age range: 11-18 years) will be included in the study. 30 of these patients will be had NAFLD. The control group consisted of 28 healthy children who will be similar in age and sex to the obese group.

Study Comparing Intravenous (IV)/Subcutaneous (SC) Risankizumab to IV/SC Ustekinumab to Assess Change in Crohn's Disease Activity Index (CDAI) in Adult Participants With Moderate to Severe Crohn's Disease (CD)

Crohn's disease (CD) is a long-lasting condition causing inflammation that can affect any part of the gut. This study will evaluate how well risankizumab works compared to ustekinumab. This study will assess change in Crohn's Disease Activity Index (CDAI). Risankizumab is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of Crohn's Disease (CD). Ustekinumab is an approved drug for the treatment of moderate and severe CD. Participants are randomly assigned to one of the three treatment groups. Each group receives a different treatment. There is a 1 in 2 chance that participants will be assigned to ustekinumab. Around 508 adult participants with moderate to severe CD will be enrolled in approximately 307 sites worldwide. In Part 1, participants assigned to risankizumab will receive intravenous (IV) doses of risankizumab at Week 0, 4,8 and subcutaneous (SC) doses every 8 weeks thereafter through Week 48. Participants assigned to ustekinumab will receive intravenous (IV) dose of ustekinumab at Week 0 and subcutaneous (SC) doses every 8 weeks thereafter through Week 48. In Part 2, participants who received risankizumab in Part 1 and completed the Week 48 visit will continue to receive SC risankizumab for up to an additional 220 weeks. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.

Right ventricular (RV) dysfunction is a major cause of heart failure and mortality in end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients. The aim of the study was to evaluate the long-term impacts of different dialysis modalities on RV function assessed by conventional echocardiography in ESRD patients with preserved left ventricular function. The study included 83 ESRD patients grouped as follows: peritoneal dialysis (PD; n=46) and hemodialysis with brachial arterio-venous fistula (HD; n=37). Conventional echocardiography including 2D and tissue Doppler imaging was performed in all patients. Echocardiographic parameters were compared between groups.

The Acute Effect of Lumbosacral Mobilization in Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease including resting tremor, bradykinesia, rigidity and postural instability. In addition, postural disorders, motor freezing, gait disturbances, decreased arm swing and axial rotation loss accompany the disease. There is an important relationship between axial rotation and turning, which is one of many activities in daily life. Parkinson's patients with loss of axial rotation have a difficulty gait, daily living activities and is associated with falls. Classical physiotherapy methods for Parkinson's patients such as stretching, strengthening and posture exercises, balance, coordination and gait training, and different methods such as motor imagery, sensory stimuli and neurophysiological approaches can be used in the treatment of Parkinson's patients. Although there are applications that can increase axial rotation in physiotherapy programs, all programs may be able to focus adequately on the treatment of this symptom. In addition, according to the literature, the effects of all physiotherapy approaches emerge as a result of long-term training. Mobilization techniques are applications that are included in physiotherapy programs and have a wide area of use. It is divided into three subtitles according to its severity and degree: Grade A (mobilization), grade B (mobilization) and grade C (manipulation). Considering the effects of mobilization on muscle activation and balance, grade A and grade B mobilization applications are likely to increase the mobility of this area when applied on the lumbosacral region. Therefore, these practices can affect balance, gait and functional activities by regulating muscle tone (rigidity) and muscle activation and reducing axial symptoms in Parkinson's patients. Based on this information, the aim of our study is to investigate the acute effect of lumbosacral mobilization on balance, gait and functional activities in patients with Parkinson's disease.
