There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Patients with Idiopathic Parkinson's disease have balance and gait problems due to sensory and motor impairments. In the literature, there are lots of studies including various approaches for rehabilitation of these parameters such as sensory interventions, conservative treatments, neurophysiological approaches and motor imagery. However, taking into account of literature, there is no study investigating the effects on balance and gait of cervical mobilization by stimulating proprioceptors and vestibular receptors. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the acute effect of cervical mobilization on balance and gait in patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease.
The purpose of our study; is to investigate how balance parameters are affected in comparison with healthy children in children with thoracic hyperkyphosis and to examine the relationship of these results with muscle strength, shortness-flexibility, pain, range of motion, functional status, physical activity level and quality of life. The hypothesis of the study is that children with thoracic hyperkyphosis have impaired balance compared to their healthy peers. With this finding, it can be ensured that clinical evaluations and treatment strategies for balance in children with hyperkifosis are included in the treatment plan. 31 children with thoracic hyperkyphosis were included in the evaluation group, and 31 children with normal physiological curves were included in the control group. Participants were evaluated once by the physical therapist.
Introduction: Heavy metals important pollutants produced from anthropogenic activities, has been suggested to be embryotoxic and fetotoxic in a lot of studies. The aims of this study were to determine the levels of trace elements and heavy metals, namely folic acid, zinc (Zn), molybdenum (Mo), vanadium (V), strontium (Sr), aluminium (Al), tin (Sn), antimony (Sb), mercury (Hg), calcium (Ca), iron ( Fe), magnesium (Mg), phosphorus (P), barium (B) and selenium (Se), in the amniotic fluid of pregnant women, and to investigate their relationship with neural tube defects (NTDs). Methods: The study will be included 70 pregnant women whose fetuses were complicated with NTDs (study group) and 70 pregnant women with unaffected healthy fetuses (control group). The samples levels of elements and vitamins will be measured using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry and will be compared between the two groups.
In this study researchers want to learn about the safety of drug Osocimab at lower-dose and higher-doses in adult participants with kidney disease undergoing regular dialysis (a procedure that uses a machine to get rid of toxins and extra fluids in the blood). Patients with kidney disease undergoing regular dialysis are at high risk for heart and blood vessels diseases. Osocimab is a human monoclonal antibody under development for the prevention of events caused by blood clots like heart attack, stroke and death due to heart or blood vessels diseases. It works by binding to and blocking the activated form of clotting factor XI which increases the formation and stability of clots. Researchers also want to find out how drug Osocimab works in human body and how the body absorbs, distributes and excretes the drug. Participants in this study will receive monthly injection of either Osocimab at a lower-dose or higher-dose or placebo (a placebo looks like a treatment but does not have any medicine in it). Both Osocimab and placebo will be injected into the tissue under the skin of the belly. Observation for each participant will last up to 23 months. Blood samples will be collected from the participants to monitor the safety and measure the blood level of the study drug.
Exercises used in shoulder rehabilitation compose of open kinetic chain and closed kinetic chain exercises. The force formed on the trunk and legs is transferred to the shoulder in open and closed kinetic chain exercises before shoulder muscles activation. It was shown that trunk and leg muscle activity changes when they are performed in different ground. But it is unknown how this alteration effect shoulder muscle activity. This will be provide a significance approach due to incremented of shoulder muscle activity is important for shoulder rehabilitation setting. To achieve this aim that is rising of muscle activity, various approach is applied including alteration of ground which individual performed exercise on it. And, it was shown that closed cinetic chain exercise which performed on different ground change shoulder muscle activity. However, it is unknown whether alteration of ground effect shoulder muscle activity or not in open cinetic chain exercise. That's why the aim of this study is to investigate alteration of scapulothoracic shoulder muscle activity in open cinetic chain shoulder exercise which enforced different ground.
Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) classified by a pulmonologist in accordance with the GOLD criteria will be randomly divided into 2 groups. The first group (n = 20) was accompanied by blood flow restriction (CAC), 3 times a week, 8 weeks, 1RMx 30% intensity, 10 repetitions, 3 sets, 30 seconds rest interval, progressive resistance exercise (PRE) and after 5 minutes of rest by cycling. Progressive aerobic exercise (AE) (BFR PRE + AE group) in the target heart rate range of 50-80% intensity will be applied to the second group (n = 20), PRE and AE (PRE + AE group) performed at the same intensity and duration without BFR.
Coronary angiography (CAG) is a diagnostic method used as the gold standard in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease (CAD), which is increasingly prevalent in developed and developing countries and is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in the world. Although coronary angiography is one of the best diagnostic methods of CAD, it can cause psychological problems such as stress, fear, anxiety in patients; It also causes physical problems such as bleeding, hematom and pain. Pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods are used by nurses to solve problems of patients, to ensure their relaxation and to improve their quality of life. With the development of technology, virtual reality (VR) glasses have been used to have fun at first, and later to provide pain management and to solve anxiety problems. VR glasses are an advanced technology that allows the patient to move into a virtual world and focus his attention on other thoughts, giving less attention to pain and anxiety. During literature search, no studies were found about the effect of using SG glasses on pain and anxiety during CAG. This research will be conducted to determine the effect of VR glasses used during CAG on pain, anxiety and hemodynamic parameters of patients who will experience coronary angiography for the first time.
The study aims to evaluate the safety, efficacy, and tolerability of subcutaneous (SC) blinatumomab for treatment of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD), and recommended phase 2 dose(s) (RP2D) of SC administered blinatumomab. It will also conduct a clinical PK evaluation of SC1 and SC2 blinatumomab formulations.
The aim of this study is to compare the effectiveness of kinesio tape and dry needling in the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome of the trapezius muscle.
The study was conducted randomly controlled to determine the effect of acupressure application on menopausal complaints among women who applied to Cancer Early Diagnosis and Screening Center.
