There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The serratus anterior plan (SAP) block is a technique that has recently gained popularity in the context of breast surgery. SAP block resulted in better hemodynamic stability, early ambulation and shorter hospital stay, as well as hospital costs for postoperative breast patients. We aimed to investigate the effects of the serratus anterior plane block in women undergoing breast surgery, in the intraoperative period.
An immersive virtual reality (VR) tour of the operating theater before surgery could reduce preoperative anxiety. The aims of this study were to analyze whether a preoperative virtual reality tour shows a reduction in anxiety in children and an increase in parental satisfaction.
The effectiveness of inspiratory muscle training (IMT) and manual therapy approaches added to the IMT program in healthy individuals with hyperkyphosis is uncertain. This study was aimed to determine the effects of manual therapy techniques added to IMT and IMT on pulmonary functions (FVC, FEV1, FEV1 / FVC, and PEF), forward head posture, and hyperkyphosis in healthy individuals with hyperkyphosis. Thirty-five individuals voluntarily participate to study were randomly divided into IMT and manual therapy groups. While all participants received twenty minutes of IMT twice a week for four weeks, manual therapy techniques were applied to the manual therapy group in addition to IMT. Pulmonary functions, forward head posture, and hyperkyphosis were evaluated before and after the treatments with spirometry device; cervical range of joint range of motion measuring device (CROM Deluxe), C0-wall (OWD), and C7-wall distance measurement respectively. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 25.0) will be used to analyze the data in the research.
Identification of the long term effects of exercises in individuals with low back pain.
The objective is to determine the efficacy, immunogenicity and safety of two different strengths (3 µg and 6 µg) of an inactivated COVID 19 Vaccine compared to placebo so that to demonstrate the efficacy and safety in prophylaxis of COVID-19. A 3rd application will be performed to approximately the half of the volunteers who were administered 3 μg/0.5 ml and who accept to be vaccinated for a 3rd time, on their month 4 visit.
After breast cancer surgery, more than 60% of patients experience persistent pain.Although opioids are the main method of use in postoperative pain management, there are side effects such as constipation, sedation, respiratory depression, urinary retention, itching, postoperative nausea and vomiting.Erector spina plane block (ESPB) is a technique used in many surgeries for anesthesia and analgesia. It is frequently preferred by anesthesiologists for postoperative analgesia recently because it is easy to apply and no complications are reported in the literature.ESPB with arms of iliocostalis, longissimus and spinalis, is located parallel to the spine, from the back of the skull to the pelvis. The injected local anesthetic is distributed in many levels in the cranio-caudal direction and blocks the intercostal spinal nerves, causing sensory block.Providing the necessary perioperative analgesia due to the complex innervation of the breast tissue is a big controversy among anesthesiologists.Multimodal analgesia methods with various regional blocks are more preferred.ESPB block is also preferred as another method since it provides both perioperative and postoperative analgesia. In studies conducted on cadavers, it has been shown that local analgesia spreads to the paravertebral area when applied under the Erektor Spina muscle.Technically, compared to the paravertebral block, the ESPB has proven to be more reliable and easier in terms of pleural puncture risk. ANI is a monitoring method used in the evaluation of acute nociception and pain.Analyzes the instantaneous changes in heart rate due to the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system using respiratory sinus arrhythmia.A value between 0-100 is obtained. If parasympathetic modulation is very low, a value of 0 is obtained, if it is high, a value of 100 is obtained.ANI detects the noxious stimulus more specifically and sensitively than heart rate and blood pressure changes. Application of anesthesia and having ANI value between 50-70 in the early postoperative period indicates that analgesia is sufficient, and values <50 are the following 10 minutes.Hemodynamic reactivity (20% increase in heart rate or blood pressure) will occur and the level of analgesia is insufficient, and values> 70 indicate that there is no painful stimulus or that more analgesic drugs are used.
This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of pelvic floor muscle exercises on bowel evacuation problems and quality of life in individuals after stoma closure.
This is a phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial designed to compare the efficacy and safety of the humanized monoclonal anti CD19 antibody tafasitamab plus lenalidomide in addition to R-CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone) versus R-CHOP in previously untreated, high-intermediate and high-risk patients with newly-diagnosed DLBCL
Perineal trauma during vaginal delivery is very common, especially in countries with a high prevalence of episiotomy. Perineal traumas can range from tears limited to the skin, subcutaneous and vaginal mucosa to severe tears involving the anal sphincter and rectal mucosa. Perineal trauma is associated with short-term morbidities such as bleeding, infection, pain, edema. Besides, it may cause long-term morbidities such as urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, dyspareunia, a decrease in quality of life, a need for surgery, and psychosocial problems. Moreover, it is associated with an increase in national healthcare costs and malpractice cases. For these reasons, some measures to reduce the frequency of perineal trauma have been discussed for many years. Pushing techniques applied in the second stage of labor and manual perineum protection techniques applied during fetal expulsion are among these. Current data are insufficient to make definitive recommendations. In this study, it was aimed to compare different pushing and perineal protection techniques in the second stage of labor.
A prospective clinical trial to what extent inflammatory biomarkers are affected by the medication after orthognathic surgery in early surgical cases and whether these biomarkers affects the amount of maxillary or mandibular incisor root resorption.
