Caudal block (CB), a regional anesthesia technique, is the most commonly used neuraxial block method for postoperative pain control in sub-umbilical surgeries in children. THE EFFICIENCY OF FASCIAL PLANE BLOCKS IN BARIATRIC SURGERY

Bariatric surgery effectively produces weight loss and reduces obesity-related comorbidities. Although it is mostly performed with minimally invasive techniques, the patients may still suffer from moderate-to-severe pain immediately after surgery [1]. Opioids remain the first choice for multimodal analgesia in the treatment of postoperative pain. Providing analgesia after bariatric surgery might be challenging due to a high prevalence of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and the increased sensitivity to respiratory depression triggered by opioid overuse after surgeryThe most common plane block techniques utilized during laparoscopic bariatric surgery are transversus abdominis plane block (TAP), rectus sheath block (RB), the erector spinae plane block (ESPB) and the external oblique intercostal block (EOI). In this study, we have evaluated the auxiliary benefit of these various techniques in reduction of the postoperative in bariatric surgery. patients who had laparoscopic bariatric surgery at VKV American Hospital between January 2019 and December 2021 were reviewed retrospectively.

According to the World Health Organization, the use of simulation methods for teaching and learning is one of the gold standards in nursing education. In the world, eye tracking systems are used to determine the focal point. Eye tracking technology aims to record the movement of the eyeball to determine where the person is focusing while performing certain tasks. These systems have also contributed to the study of cognitive and neurological development. It has started to be used together with simulation training in health education. By determining where the student focuses during clinical practice simulation training using an eye tracker, it is possible to reschedule the practice training or to provide feedback on the student's misapplications during the application. The purpose of this research; The aim of this study is to develop an eye tracker for simulation training in nursing and to examine the effectiveness of an eye tracker in a simulation scenario.

The Effect of Paula Method Exercises on Post-cesarean Section Distension

Aim:To examine the effect of "Paula Method Exercises" after cesarean section on the prevention of postoperative distention and pain due to distension. Method: The study was planned as a double-blind, randomized controlled experimental study. The study was carried out between November 2021 and February 2022 with women who had undergone cesarean section at Akdeniz University Hospital Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic and agreed to participate in the study. The number of individuals to be sampled from the population was determined by the G Power analysis and 80 women were included in the sample. The data of the study were collected using the Introductory Information Form, the Postoperative Follow-up Form, and the McGill Pain Scale Form. The women in the intervention group were given training on how to do the Paula Method Exercises in the postoperative period in line with the "Paula Method Exercises Training Plan" by the researcher. Conclusion: It is predicted that the findings obtained from the data of the study will guide nursing care practices and new researches for the relief of gas and distension after cesarean section.

Among the stress factors of nursing students are traumatic experiences such as death and encountering a dying patient from the first moments of their education years, fear of making mistakes in the clinic, patient care, not getting enough support from the instructor or clinic staff, and communication problems. Exposure to long-term and uncontrollable stress negatively affects students' professional identity development and health. Students who cannot cope with their stress feel stress at a higher level and as a result they may experience anxiety and depression.It is important for nurse candidates to graduate by being supported in all aspects, both in terms of individual and professional development. For this reason, nursing educators should use effective and innovative interventions to help students recognize the stress they experience and help them reduce stress. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy Program (MBCT) is one of these programs. Although studies with MBCT are found in the literature, our country In the literature, no randomized controlled studies were found with nursing students. In line with this information, it was thought that mindfulness-based studies were needed. This study was planned to determine the effect of MBCT program on depression, anxiety, stress and cognitive flexibility of nursing students.
