E-sports, which is called video games that are played in a competitive and organized way in a virtual environment, individually or in like teams, continues to increase its popularity by reaching individuals of all ages with the acceleration it has gained to worldwide. The major keys to performance in e-sports, which include games in many different categories; tactical and cognitive abilities that depend on executive functions such as attention, perception, memory, and multitasking. It also requires play skills that include fluent and coordinated movements, such as hand-eye coordination. Therefore, the reaction time among the players plays a decisive role in the performance. The sedentary life-induced physical, mental and spiritual health of the e-sports player who is in front of the screen for a long time is negatively affected, and it is seen that the accuracy in the executive functions of the athlete decreases and results in impulsivity. Physical activity can be considered as a good opportunity for performance, as physical, cognitive and spiritual improvements will contribute positively to the performance of the athlete. Aerobic exercise, which is widely performed today for physical activity, has positive effects on both physical, cognitive and psychosocial aspects. This study was designed as a randomized controlled, single-blind, prospective study to examine the effect of aerobic exercise training on reaction time, neuropsychological parameters and mood in e-sports players playing in university e-sports team.
This study aimed to determine the effects of laughter yoga on the perceived stress, burnout and life satisfaction of nurses working actively during the pandemic period. A total of 120 nurses, determined by power analysis, were included in the randomized controlled study. The study included 2 groups. (A group of nurses who have active contact with patients diagnosed with or at risk of covid-19, group B: nurses who have active contact with patients diagnosed with or at risk of covid-19 and participate in laughter yoga practice. Laughter yoga; immune system antibodies and endorphin hormone. It has been proven by experimental studies that there is a connection between the two, that it has a healing effect, that it accelerates the circulatory system as an adverse effect to stress, and that it has a vasodilation effect in the vessels.
Risky pregnant women need various physical and mental health needs, they need to be informed and supported by health personnel. Mindfulness is a non-judgmental and accepting focus of one's attention on what is happening right now. A total of 100 pregnant women (50 experimental, 50 control) are planned to be included in the study. Data will be collected with "Descriptive Information Form", "Prenatal Distress Scale (PBL)-Revised Version", "Pregnancy-Related Anxiety Scale-Revision 2" and "Prenatal Attachment Inventory". In the study, a stress reduction program (MBSR) based on mindfulness will be applied by the researcher to the pregnant women in the experimental group.
Birth pain is the most severe painful experience faced by primiparous people. Massage and music therapy reduce tension in the muscles and reduce the feeling of pain. Massage and music therapy will be applied to pregnant women. No intervention will be made to a group of pregnant women. Numerical Pain Assessment, Post Traumatic Development Scale and Birth Comfort Scale will be used in the research.
Stroke is a serious medical condition that causes the death of brain cells as a result of blockage of a blood vessel that feeds the brain (ischemic stroke) or bleeding in or around the brain (hemorrhagic stroke). People who have had a stroke have a higher risk of falling than people who have not had a stroke at the same age. Lack of balance control not only increases the risk of falling, but also leads to fear of falling and reduces the integration of people with stroke into society. The central nervous system uses two main postural strategies to maintain and restore balance when perturbed. These; are anticipatory and compensatory postural adjustments. Anticipatory postural adjustments control the position of the body's center of mass by activating the trunk and leg muscles prior to a forthcoming body perturbation, thus minimizing the risk of loosing equilibrium. Compensatory postural adjustment are initiated by sensory feedback signals and serve as a mechanism of restoration of the position of the center of mass after a perturbation has already occurred. In this study, the investigators aimed to determine which one is more effective, unlike previous studies that showed that internal and external perturbation exercises were effective when applied together. For this purpose, the researchers the planned to investigate and compare the effects on balance, performance, activity and participation in individuals to whom only internal perturbations were applied and only external perturbations were applied. The participants will be divided into 2 groups, as Group A and Group B, with 10 participants in each group, in a randomized controlled manner. Treatment Protocol: Conventional treatment was applied to participants included in both groups for 4 weeks, 5 days a week, 40-minute sessions. In addition to conventional treatment, 30 minutes of perturbation-based balance training was given to the participant in the study. Participants in Group A received internal perturbation training, and participants in Group B received external perturbation training.

In this context, the purpose of the present study was to show the relations between neck disability, Upper Trapezius (UT) muscle activation, posture, and demographic characteristics with typing task performance in office employees who have neck pain by using their equipment in their workplaces.
Background:Health professionals are responsible for the education of hypertension patients. Aim:The aim of this research is to see how self-efficacy support affects hypertension patients' medication adherence and self-efficacy levels. Methods: This research is randomized controlled interventional research. The research is conducted inTurkey June-December2021.The research sample included 63hypertension patients who met the research's research requirements.According to the sequence of the arrival at the hospital, data were separated into groups with odd(intervention group)and double(control group)numbers.The necessary forms for both groups' pre-test data were filled out face-to-face. The intervention group received hands-on blood pressure measurement training with the "Hypertension Training Manual",including how to self-measure blood pressure.Over the course of the research, patients were asked to check their blood pressure twice a day at home and record the results.The patients in the intervention group were reminded of their blood pressure measurement three times a week by SMStechnique for three months to avoid forgetting it.Three months later, the same forms for the post-test data of both groups were filled out with an online survey method.The data were evaluated using the single-blind study.
The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of music on the anxiety and sleep quality of women with high-risk pregnancy having bed rest in the hospital in Turkey. This randomized-controlled study involved 80 control and 80 experimental group with a high-risk pregnant woman .
Introduction: Failure to follow-up patients by healthcare professionals after discharge may increase the development of anxiety and complications in patients. Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the effects of tele-nursing method to patients who have undergone Open Heart Surgery (OHS) after discharge on anxiety and some other complications. Material and Methods:This quasi-experimental randomized controlled study, which was conducted in a private hospital between November 2020 and April 2021, included 75 patients, 38 from the Intervention (IG) and 37 from the Control Group (KG). IG and CG patients were provided routine treatment and care. In addition to the IG, training and counselling were provided at least four times by phone calls between the first week after discharge and the end of the first month. Descriptive Form and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI-S and T) were administered to all patients before discharge, and STAI-S was administered at the end of the first month after discharge. Post-discharge complications were evaluated by medical doctor in both groups. These data, number of hospitalization and readmission rates were obtained from hospital records.
The causes of death due to smoking are responsible for 11.5% of the total deaths in the world. Smoking causes lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), ischemic heart disease and cerebrovascular diseases. In some studies on nursing students in the world, the prevalence of smoking is between 13.9% and 32%; It is known that it varies between 12.9% and 28% in Turkey. At the end of this study, nursing students are supported in smoking cessation by providing smoking cessation training, they become a role model for the society by gaining the right behavior, creating a society that smokes less, reducing the financial burden on the state as a result of protecting individuals from possible chronic diseases, and guiding health trainings on this subject. It is foreseen that it will be a guide in its implementation in the whole country. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the I Stop Smoking, Protecting My Future and Health program based on the Preced-Proceed Model on the smoking behavior of nursing students.
