The intervention group was provided with Emotional Freedom Technique. The control group received routine face-to-face education. Surgical fear and anxiety were examined.

The Effect of Tranexamic Acid in Total Blood Loss During Proximal Femoral Nailing

Blood loss is an important issue following intertrochanteric femoral fracture and may lead to requiring blood transfusions and transfusion complications. Tranexamic acid is a commonly used drug to decrease blood loss and the number of transfusions. The aim of our study is to determine the effectiveness of tranexamic acid use to reduce total blood loss during proximal femoral nailing for the intertrochanteric femoral fracture in the elderly. Patients aged >65 years and diagnosed with intertrochanteric fracture will be included in the study. The patients will be numbered according to the admission to the hospital and randomly divided into two groups. First group will receive tranexamic acid infusion and second group will not receive tranexamic acid infusion. Total blood loss will be calculated using Nadler formula. The primary outcome of the study is total blood loss. The secondary outcomes are a number of transfusions, and surgical blood loss during the operative procedure.

Septic shock is a clinical condition that is defined as a subset of sepsis that causes very high mortality and morbidity. Surviving sepsis campaign guideline states that the target mean arterial pressure should be 65 mmHg and above in septic shock patients. It is known that abdominal pressure increases and perfusion of intra-abdominal organs decreases in septic shock patients. With this study, we aim to investigate the effects of targeted abdominal perfusion pressure (60 mmHg and above) on renal injury, reversal of renal injury, liver functions and ultimately mortality in patients with septic shock.

Effects of IASTM in the Treatment of Adhesive Capsulitis

This study aimed to determine the effects of IASTM in combination with exercise in frozen shoulder. Thirty-five patients with phase II frozen shoulder included in this single-blind, randomized study. Patients were divided into two groups. In the first group exercise programme (Group 1) and in the second group IASTM in combination with exercise programme (Group 2) were applied for twelve sessions (two days per week for six week). The primary outcome was the Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH) score and secondary outcomes were the visual analogue scale (VAS), the range of motion (ROM), The Constant score and Short- Form-36 (SF-36). Outcome measures were performed at baseline, after the 6th session and the 12th session.

The results obtained suggest that foods rich in soluble fiber such as chia and flaxseed and foods produced with the possible synergetic effect of chia and flaxseed are used in healthy and safe products suitable for our consumption habits, and that these products are both protective and protective against the development of complications such as obesity and type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases.
