There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Objectives: Kangaroo care is a safe and effective alternative method to conventional neonatal care for newborn babies. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of kangaroo care on the transition time to full oral feeding in preterm infants fed by gavage. Methods: This is a randomized controlled trial. This study was conducted in a level III neonatal intensive care unit of a university hospital in eastern Turkey 50 premature babies with a birth weight of ≥ 1000 g and a gestational age of 27-36 weeks, and their mothers were included in the study. The cases were randomly divided into two groups: kangaroo care, which would be applied up to five days a week, and standard care. Records of cases were kept regularly from their hospitalization until they reached full oral feeding.
The aim of this study is to compare the effects of robotic rehabilitation on balance, body control, mobility, spasticity, motor function and depression compared to traditional therapy in individuals with chronic stroke. Patients aged between 40-70 years, who applied to the Private Avrasya Hospital Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Clinic, were diagnosed with hemiplegia based on an epicrisis medical board report, were included in the study on a voluntary basis, regardless of gender. After recording the demographic and clinical information of the participants, based on the physician's decision, they were included in 2 groups: conventional treatment combined with robotic rehabilitation (n=20) and conventional treatment only (n=20). While one of the groups received traditional treatment, the other group received robotic walking training in addition to conventional treatment. Traditional treatment includes strengthening, balance, range of motion exercises and gait training applied 3 days a week for 4 weeks. Robot-assisted walking training was planned for 20 minutes, 3 days a week. As assessment methods, number of steps, the 10m Walk Test, Brunnstrom motor staging, Functional Ambulation Classification, Fugl Meyer Rating Scale (lower extremity section), Modified Ashworth Scale, Beck Depression Scale, Tinetti Balance and Gait Test, Postural Assessment Scale in Stroke Patients and Stroke Impact Scale were used. Gender, age and duration of illness showed homogeneous distribution between the groups.
Application of vibration has been previously shown to affect tissue perfusion and utilized in different branches of medicine. Little is known about the acute impact of vibration application on peripheral artery hemodynamics. In this study, investigators intend to assess: 1. vibration induced hemodynamic changes in brachial artery in non-diabetic patients and compare the characteristics of these alterations with flow mediated dilation mediated changes in same cohort. 2. compare the characteristics of vibration mediated hemodynamic alterations in diabetic and non-diabetic subgroups.
The research was carried out to determine the effects of tactile stimulation, music listening and virtual reality video watched during the non-stress test on maternal anxiety level and fetal parameters.
Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the perceived competence of operating room nurses and the opinions of the surgical team, regarding the competence of nurses and the influencing factors with a deep understanding. Method: This convergent parallel mixed-methods study was carried out with members of the surgical team working in 17 hospitals including three public, two university, one city, one education and research, and ten private ones located in city center of Burdur, Isparta and Antalya provinces. The data were collected between May 1th, 2020 and August 20th, 2020 using Quantitative and Qualitative Personal Information Forms, Perceived Perioperative Competence Scale (PPCS-R) and semi-structured interview form. The quantitative data were assessed using the SPSS 24.0 package program, and the qualitative data were assessed using content analysis and thematic analysis. The quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed independently, and interpreted based on analytical generalization in the discussion section.
This work; It was planned as a randomized controlled study to determine the effect of watching cartoons with virtual reality glasses during burn dressing of children aged 5-10 years who applied to the Training and Research Hospital Burn Unit Polyclinic on the feeling of pain, anxiety and fear in children.
This study is aimed to investigate the effects of upper extremity manual lymphatic drainage, which is applied to remove edema from the carpal tunnel region in addition to conventional exercise therapy in Carpal tunnel syndrome patients on findings of clinical, ultrasonographic, and electrophysiological.
This study was carried out as a randomized controlled experimental study to evaluate the effect of web-based cardiac rehabilitation support on the healthy lifestyle behaviors, medication adherence and quality of life in coronary heart patients.
The research was designed as a randomized controlled trial model to examine the effects of affirmation and infant massage taught to the parents of 0-6 month-old infants registered in a Family Health Center and a Private Medical Center in Istanbul, on the sleep quality of their infants and mother-father-infant attachment. The research will be carried out between August and October 2022 by including the parents of the babies in the scope of the study. The Mother-Father and Infant Information Form and the Extended Infant Short Sleep Questionnaire, the Maternal Attachment Scale, and the Father-Infant Attachment Scale will be used to collect the data.
