There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study is a psychosocial intervention program designed to intervene in the meaning of life and existential problems and life satisfaction in nursing students, especially during the epidemic. In the short term, it expects that students will gain awareness, especially in areas such as life satisfaction, anxiety, aimlessness, the meaning of life, deterioration in functionality, and in the long term, the individual's ultimate issues (death, loneliness, meaning and responsibility) and provide a perspective that can cope with the problems that may arise in these areas. Based on all these, it is aimed to raise awareness of the meaning of life and life satisfaction in nursing students, who constitute a young population, with the existential approach and logotherapy-based psychosocial support program. H1. The existential approach and logotherapy-based psychosocial support program will affect the experimental group's meaning and purpose of life scale scores. H2. The existential approach and logotherapy-based psychosocial support program will affect the experimental group's life satisfaction scale scores. H3. After the existential approach and logotherapy-based psychosocial support program, there will be a significant difference between the experimental and control groups' meaning and purpose of life scores. H4. After the existential approach and logotherapy-based psychosocial support program, there will be a significant difference between the experimental and control groups' life satisfaction scores.
In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of breathing exercise applied before the enema procedure, which causes fear, pain and anxiety in children aged 6-12 years who applied to the pediatric emergency service, on fear, pain and anxiety in children. This research is in pretest-posttest, parallel group, randomized controlled experimental design. The universe of the research consists of children aged 6-12 years who applied to the pediatric emergency department of Iğdır State Hospital (Turkey) between May 2022 and June 2022.
The research will be carried out to determine the effect of mindfulness-based pregnancy education program on stress, fear of childbirth and birth self-efficacy in pregnant women. The study was designed as a randomized controlled trial. The universe of the research will consist of pregnant women who applied to Gaziantep Cengiz Gökçek Gynecology and Pediatrics Hospital Pregnancy training class. The sample of the research, on the other hand, was determined by power analysis, at least the number of individuals to be included in the sample of the research. Sample size when power analysis is done; Assuming that the method applied with 5% error level, bidirectional significance level, 95% confidence interval and 80% ability to represent the universe, would reduce the anxiety score averages (30.53±6.49) by 4 points, a total of 84 pregnant women (42 experimental, 42 control) were calculated. Introductory Information Form", "Prenatal Distress Scale (PBL)-Revised Version", "Birth Attitude Scale" and "Birth Self-Efficacy Scale short form" will be used. It is predicted that the research will contribute to the literature in line with its originality and results.
This is a multicenter, randomized, placebo controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ABX464 given at 25 or 50 mg QD in inducing clinical remission in subjects with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis who have inadequate response, no response, a loss of response, or an intolerance to either conventional therapies [corticosteroids, immunosuppressant (i.e. azathioprine, 6-mercaptopurine, methotrexate)] and/or advanced therapies [biologics (TNF inhibitors, anti-integrins, anti-IL-23), and/or S1P receptor modulators, and/or JAK inhibitors].
COPD is the 3rd most common cause of death in the world, and the most common places of admission in our country with exacerbation of COPD are emergency services. β-2 agonists and/or short-acting anticholinergic drugs use is recommended in patients with COPD Salbutamol is known to cause significant improvement in dyspnea, quality of life and FEV1 in patients with COPD. Various techniques are used to administer drugs, one of which is the nebulization technique and is frequently used in emergency departments. There are limited clinical studies comparing different nebulization techniques, and the aim of this study is to compare the efficacy of Vibrating MESH nebulizer versus Jet nebulizers in a COPD exacerbation patient. Patients who applied to the Emergency Department of Sultan Abdulhamid Han Training and Research Hospital with the complaint of shortness of breath and were diagnosed with COPD exacerbation according to the Gold Guidelines and to be treated with nebulization will be included in the study. Patients who agreed to participate in the study will be divided into two groups and assigned sequentially according to the simple randomization schedule. Medication will be applied to one group with Jet nebulizers (Philips Respironics) and to the other group with Vibrating MESH nebulizer (Aerogen Ultra). Vital signs, IPI, spirometric measurements (FEV 1, FVC, FEV1 / FVC, FEF 50, FEF 2575), and dyspnea VAS score will be recorded at admission and re-measured after 1hour of treatment . In addition, single dose nebulization time will be measured and patient satisfaction will be measured with a 5-linkert scale. Demographic data will be recorded. The measurements will be recorded in the patient file and the groups will be coded so that the researcher evaluating the data will be blinded to the groups. The patient could not be blinded because of the different shape of devices.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical and radiographic results of implants placed using osteotome sinus floor elevation (OSFE) with and without simultaneous enamel matrix derivative (EMD) application.
This study was carried out to determine the effect of acupressure applied to LI4, CV12, ST25 and ST36 acupuncture points for a total of 21 minutes, three to each point, on the symptoms of constipation and quality of life of elderly individuals.
Paraprosthetic cardiac valve leaks are a progressive complication after after surgical or percutaneous heart valve replacement. These leaks can lead to heart failure and/or life-threatening hemolysis. Percutaneous closure of para-prosthetic leaks has been developed as an alternative to surgery in high-risk patients. These procedures remain technically challenging with a significant risk of failure and complications, but this risk is improved since the development of dedicated prostheses and the increased experience of the operators. The data in the literature concerning percutaneous leak closure remain limited and disparate and mostly retrospective. The impact of the procedures on the quality of life of patients is not known. Beyond the technical aspects and the follow-up of major cardiovascular events, investigators also wonder what is the impact of these procedures on the quality of life of patients. Investigators hypothesize that even a partial reduction in paraprosthetic leakage may be associated with an improvement in quality of life through reduction of transfusion needs and/or reduction of dyspnea. A prospective study is warranted to assess the technical and clinical and clinical results of these procedures, together with the evaluation of the the possible benefit on the quality of life of the patients.
Regional anesthesia and analgesia technics are widely and securely used during orthopedic surgery. Interfascial plane blocks are the latest used ones for analgesia. There are studies in literature indicating that bupivacaine cause myotoxicity. We aimed to examine plasma CPK(creatine phosphokinase) levels to see whether myotoxicity occurs or not after suprainguinal fascial plane block is applied to patients undergoing knee artroplasty surgery.
The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between the nutritional content of the diet consumed by children and adolescents (0-18 years old) with the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes and metabolic control. In this cross-sectional study, 150 children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes who came to Ege University Child Health and Diseases Department, Pediatric Endocrine and Diabetes Department for regular check-ups (4 diabetes control/year) and kept food consumption records in the last 1 year will be included. Body weight and height measurements of the cases will be done by the same person in Ege University Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes BD Polyclinic. Turkish Standard Institute approved Baster brand weighing instrument with 0.1 kg intervals and height measurements will be made with Harpander brand stadiometer with 0.1 cm intervals. SD scores of body weight, height and body mass index for age Neyzi et al. It will be calculated using the reference values developed for Turkish children by Age, diabetes age, gender, height - body weight-body mass index SD score, HbA1c level, daily energy intake, percentage of energy from carbohydrate-protein-fat-saturated fat in energy, daily fiber intake amount of the cases will be recorded in the case report form. The biochemical values of the participants will be taken from the file records. The data will be entered into the statistical package program and the patients' 1) carbohydrate, protein, fat, saturated fat intake, 2) vitamin-mineral intake, and 3) fruit and vegetable consumption will be compared with the recommendations in national and international guidelines and their relationship with metabolic control will be investigated
