There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The most common symptom after an inguinal hernia is postoperative pain. According to the severity of the pain, the quality of life of the patient is also affected. There are many factors associated with postoperative pain. In this study, the results related to the factors affecting postoperative pain were investigated.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder that may have poor motor coordination and balance control. The effect of Methylphenidate treatment on balance and fall risk is still unclear. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of methylphenidate (MPH) treatment on balance, fall risk, and sensorimotor integration in children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of synchronous telerehabilitation on improving upper extremity function in children with hemiparetic cerebral palsy.
Today, circulatory system and heart diseases, especially hypertension, are increasing day by day, and sudden and unexpected cardiac arrests due to these diseases are more common. Therefore, in the face of cardiac arrest that can develop without a certainty of time and place, Basic Life Support (TYD) is an important intervention that can save the lives of individuals with the least damage. Training on BLS, which is compulsory for healthcare professionals, is also given to some employees selected from other institutions. From this point of view, future teacher candidates who can be a role model in the society, at the same time reflect the importance of the subject to the group they work with and continue to teach, are an important group in terms of these trainings. Therefore, in this study, digital storytelling and face-to-face applied techniques will be given to teacher candidates via social media (Whatsapp) and the impact of these trainings on the knowledge and skill levels of teacher candidates will be evaluated comparatively.
intraduction and aim In this study, in cases who will undergo elective day colonoscopy under sedoanalgesia; It was planned to investigate the effects of restrictive and liberal fluid administration on hemodynamics, side effects, drug levels, patient satisfaction, recovery and discharge times during the procedure. Methods This study was planned to be conducted as a prospective, randomized (closed envelope method), controlled, double-blind study with 100 adult patients aged 18-65 years in the american sociological association (ASA I-II) risk group who will undergo colonoscopy under sedation-analgesia under elective conditions.Vascular access will be opened and randomly divided into two groups as Group R (Restrictive, 2ml/kg 0.9% Sodium cloride-NaCl during colonoscopy) and Group L (Liberal 15ml/kg 0.9% NaCl during colonoscopy). For sedoanalgesia, Midazolam 0.02 mg/kg, Fentanyl 1 μg/kg, Ketamine 0.3 mg/kg will be administered intravenous (IV), followed by 10 mg additional doses of propofol until the Ramsay sedation score (RSS) is 3-4. All colonoscopy procedures will be performed by the same gastroenterologist. Expectations and scientific contributions This research may help to understand the effects of giving or not administering intravenous fluids (restrictive/liberal) prior to the procedure in patients undergoing elective colonoscopy under sedoanalgesia. It can provide hemodynamic stability, reduction in drug doses, reduction of side effects, rapid recovery and discharge, and reduction of costs.
Today, surgical applications are used to solve many health problems. In order for the surgical intervention to take place, anesthesia applications are often required. Complications such as sore throat, thirst and nausea and vomiting may occur as a result of trauma, local irritation and inflammation of the airway mucosa during anesthesia and tracheal intubation. These complications are in the postoperative period; It may cause delayed oral fluid intake, prolonged dehydration, oral odour, and increased risk of aspiration, hematoma and wound dehiscence due to retching and vomiting, all of which may lead to delayed discharge and increased cost. Aromatherapy, one of the non-pharmacological applications, is frequently applied in reducing postoperative complications and its effectiveness is stated. In this study, the aromatic solution applied after the surgery; It was planned to examine the effect on sore throat, thirst, nausea-vomiting. In addition, the multimodal synergistic effect of lavender oil and ginger oil used in the aromatic solution to be prepared will be utilized. As a result of this study, the effectiveness of the aromatic solution application to be applied to the patients in the postoperative period and the benefits and benefits of the patient's recovery process will be determined. Thus, effective application can be made for the entire postoperative period. It is thought that this study to be conducted will be a guide for future studies on the patient group.
Physiotherapy has an important place in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral fractures. Therapeutic exercise is often recommended for patients with vertebral fractures to reduce pain and restore functional movement. There is not enough evidence in the literature to determine the effects of long-term exercise on osteoporotic fractures and their side effects. Therefore, the aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of 12-week exercise training in patients with osteoporotic vertebral fractures.
This study was conducted to examine the effect of a systematic oral care protocol on bacterial colonization of the oral mucosa in non-mechanically ventilated stroke patients. This experimental study was conducted in Bakirkoy Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Research and Training Hospital for Psychiatry, Neurology and Neurosurgery between January -June 2020. The research was carried out with 42 stroke patients who were hospitalized in the intensive care unit but not underwent mechanical ventilation. A standardized oral care protocol was developed and applied to the patients in the experimental group three times a day. The control group underwent non-standardized oral care, which is available in the routine practice of the clinic. Two groups were compared at baseline and at the 5th day of hospital stay in terms of bacterial colonization, oral cavity and complications.
H1-1 Hypothesis: Hand massage applied after cesarean delivery has an effect on reducing the level of pain in the cesarean section incision area of women. H1-2 Hypothesis: Hand massage applied after cesarean delivery has an effect on increasing the comfort scale score of women. H1-3 Hypothesis: Hand massage applied after cesarean delivery has an effect on reducing the time of gas production in women.
The primary aim of the study was to measure the intra-rater and inter-rater reliability of MyotonPRO in measuring postural muscle tone and mechanical properties in individuals with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). The secondary aim is to question the existence of a relationship between the functional levels of individuals with SMA and their muscle tone and biomechanical properties. It is assumed that the outputs to be obtained from this research will form the norm data for moyotonometer evaluation in children with SMA.
