There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Our study aims to determine the efficacy and safety of the monofocal plate haptic intraocular lens to be implanted in patients planning for cataract surgery and to determine the complications that may develop due to the lens.
Randomization order tracking will be done with sequentially numbered containers. Patients participating in the study will be blinded as to which treatment group they will be included in. Before the study, written and verbal "Informed Consent Form" will be obtained from all participants who meet the inclusion criteria. In order to prevent bias, participants assigned to groups will be evaluated by a blind physiotherapist. Tests; The treatment of patients in the study and control groups will be carried out one day before the start, and all evaluations will be repeated after the 4-week neurorehabilitation process is completed. All data obtained will be noted on the prepared evaluation form.
The aim of this study is to determine the effect of technology-assisted constipation prevention training on the management of constipation in hospitalised orthopaedic patients. This is a quasi-experimental study. The population of the study will consist of patients admitted to the Orthopaedic Clinic of Burdur State Hospital between January 2024 and November 2024. The sample of the study is planned to consist of patients over 18 years of age, who are able to communicate, who do not have sensory loss related to advanced vision and hearing, who do not have psychiatric disorders at a level that prevents communication, and who are hospitalised at the Orthopaedic Clinic and who volunteer to participate in the research. Data for the study will be collected using the "Patient Introduction Form", "Constipation Risk Assessment Scale (CRAS)", "Bristol Stool Consistency Scale", "Use of Constipation Prevention Methods Form", "Constipation Education Questionnaire", "Constipation Severity Scale". During the implementation of the research, it is planned to form two groups, the first 35 patients in the control group and the second 35 patients in the experimental group, from the patients hospitalised in the Orthopaedic Clinic. The data will be collected at 3 times: (1) before the training, (2) 2 weeks after the training, (3) 4 weeks after the training. The data will be digitalised in the SPSS 23 package and the necessary statistical analyses will be performed.
Restless Leg Syndrome, a progressive and recurrent chronic sensorimotor disorder that creates an irresistible urge to move the legs and a feeling of discomfort, is seen in 15.4-26.0% of pregnant women in our country. Restless Leg Syndrome has negative effects on sleep, mood, cognitive health, daily activities and behavior in pregnant women; It can also cause preeclampsia, difficult labor, and cesarean delivery. Therefore, it is important for pregnant women with Restless Leg Syndrome to be treated appropriately. It is recommended that pregnant women use non-pharmacological treatments as they are not risky for fetal health. Kinesio taping and manual lymphatic drainage methods are used non-pharmacologically to support venous-lymphatic drainage and manage pain. These methods are economical, reliable and easy to apply. However, no study has been found in which Kinesio taping or manual lymphatic drainage was applied to a patient group with Restless Leg Syndrome during or outside pregnancy. The aim of this project is to determine the effect of Kinesio taping and manual lymphatic drainage on Restless Legs Syndrome severity, sleep quality and psychological well-being in pregnant women with Restless Legs Syndrome.
Peripheral Intravenous Catheter (PIC) application in pediatric wards of hospitals; It is used in the administration of drugs that require diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration or high serum concentration, resistant infections, parenteral treatments, continuous bolus analgesic needs and emergency treatment situations. Although PIC is a frequently used practice, especially in pediatric emergency departments, it is seen as a difficult approach for healthcare professionals. PIC applications may be more difficult in pediatric patients due to their small vascular structures, the fact that the vessels are surrounded by subcutaneous tissue, and lack of communication. Every child's venous anatomy is different. Therefore, selecting the appropriate vein by ensuring palpation and using appropriate tools before the procedure will reduce the pain and stress the child will experience. Biomedical tools are used to increase success in vascular interventions. Studies have shown that PIC procedure time is shorter in pediatric patients using vein imaging devices and the number of interventions is lower than the control group.
Non-specific neck pain is defined as pain in the posterior and lateral part of the neck between the superior nuchael line and the spinous process of the 1st thoracic vertebra, without neurological findings and obvious structural pathology. It is more common in women than in men. Neck pain is thought to affect upper extremity functions. Although the exact cause is unknown, it has been reported that mechanical loading, minor peripheral nerve damage and deconditioning negatively affect upper extremity functions in individuals with neck pain and reduce the quality of life. Although it is stated in the literature that patients with neck pain often experience upper extremity problems, there are a limited number of studies evaluating the relationship between the neck and upper extremity. This study was planned to determine upper extremity functions and their impact on health-related quality of life in female patients with NSHP. Female patients with NSHP over the age of 18 who apply to Tarsus State Hospital Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Clinic, meet the inclusion criteria, and agree to participate in the study will be included in the study. With our research, patients' upper extremity functions (hand skills, hand and finger grip strength, reaction time, position sense, upper extremity strength and endurance) and health-related quality of life will be evaluated and interpreted.
The main objective of this clinical study is to determine the effectiveness of BIS-guided propofol administration in avoiding hypotension during propofol induction in geriatric patients. The primary question it aims to answer is whether the mean arterial pressure can be maintained above 60mmHg with BIS-guided propofol induction. For this purpose, the observer's alertness sedation score will be compared with bispectral index-guided inductions.
This randomised controlled experimental type study will be conducted with family members who care for the relatives of hemiplegic patients who are hospitalised in Manisa Merkezefendi and Turgutlu State Hospital Physical Therapy Services.
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the efficacy of transobturator tape (TOT) operation and urethral ligament plication operation in stress incontinence patients. The main question: - Which operation is more effective in treatment of stress incontinence? - Which operation has less complication and risks? Participants will be followed about 5 days, 2.5 months, 6 months and 1 year after the operation and asked about the continence status and complications.
Interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome is a non-bacterial chronic inflammatory disease of the bladder characterized by lower urinary tract symptoms such as dysuria, irritating urgency, and nocturia, as well as pelvic pain associated with bladder filling. The International Continence Society (ICS) defines bladder pain syndrome as "a complaint of suprapubic pain due to bladder filling accompanied by urinary system symptoms such as increased daytime and nighttime urinary frequency as a result of the exclusion of proven urinary infection or other obvious pathologies." Acupuncture is an important treatment method of traditional Chinese medicine that has been used for more than 2500 years and is performed by placing needles at specific points on the skin. In the literature, clinical studies have been conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of acupuncture in Interstitial Cystitis and its effectiveness in relieving symptoms has been demonstrated. In the light of these data, our aim in our multi-centered study is to investigate the effectiveness of acupuncture in relieving symptoms and improving the quality of life in patients diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis. In our study, patients who applied to the Urology Clinic between 01.02.2024 and 01.07.2024 with pelvic pain or discomfort lasting more than 6 months and lower urinary tract symptoms such as frequent urination, dysuria and nocturia will be examined and evaluated with suspicion of Interstitial Cystitis diagnosis.
