There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The aim of this randomized, parallel-group clinical trial was to compare the 1-year periodontal, root coverage, esthetic, and patient-centered outcomes of the partial restoration placement with different apical margin levels combined with coronally advanced flap (CAF) plus connective tissue graft (CTG) in the treatment of isolated gingival recessions associated with non-carious cervical lesions (NCCL). Forty patients with single gingival recessions (RT1 gingival recessions and class B+ NCCL) were randomly allocated to either placement of restoration apical margin at the level of estimated cementoenamel junction (CEJ) or within 1 mm apical to the CEJ. Two weeks after the restorative treatment, all recession defects were treated with CAF combined with CTG. Periodontal measurements were taken at baseline, and 3, 6, and 12 months postoperatively. Patient-centered outcomes were evaluated at baseline, and 7, and 15 days, 6, and 12 months postoperative follow-ups. Modified root closure aesthetic score (mRES) was used to assess aesthetics at 6 and 12 months follow-ups.
Cerebral palsy (CP) causes problems in posture, movement, breathing, postural control and balance in individuals. This work; This study was conducted to examine the relationship between functional exercise capacity, respiratory muscle strength, trunk control, balance and activities of daily living in individuals with spastic cerebral palsy.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a web-based mindful breastfeeding program in pregnancy to increase awareness, breastfeeding adaptation and breastfeeding self-efficacy in postpartum breastfeeding. The Mindful breastfeeding program intervention will be compared to the group receiving basic breastfeeding education. The main hypothesis is that pregnant women included in the mindful breastfeeding program have higher postpartum breastfeeding awareness, breastfeeding adaptation and breastfeeding self-efficacy.
The aim of our study is to develop a physical activity program based on behavioral change models for children and to investigate the effectiveness of the physical activity program we have developed for children attending primary school. There is a limited number of studies in the literature on exercise habits in children, and there is no evidence on which model will provide better results when integrated into school or training programs. Although behavioral modification-based physical activity programs for children have been established and their effectiveness has been investigated in many different countries, there are limited randomized controlled studies on this subject. Currently, there are no randomized control studies on the topic in Turkey. Our study will be the first study in which a school-based physical activity program based on behavioral change models in Turkish children is developed and its effectiveness is investigated. We believe that our study will contribute to the development of new models and protocols to improve the health of children in Turkey and the world and to provide behavior change methods that are research-based to combat physical inactivity.
Peripheral nerve entrapment neuropathies are the most common mononeuropathies in clinical practice. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), n. It occurs as a result of compression of the medianus as it passes through the carpal tunnel, a narrow osteofibrous canal. CTS is the most common entrapment neuropathy of the upper extremity, affecting approximately 3% of the general adult population. This study, which was designed as a randomized controlled study, will include 36 patients with CTS, aged between 18-65, who applied to Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Training and Research Hospital. In our study, both groups will be given 10 minutes of paraffin, 20 minutes of TENS, and 10 repetitions of tendon gliding exercise, 3 days a week for a total of 3 weeks (9 sessions). EESDT will be applied once a week in both groups (one group at 4 bar and the other at 1.5 bar pressure). Measurements will be made before treatment, after treatment, and at 12 weeks post-treatment. In the literature, different pressure parameters were used in studies examining the efficacy of ESDT in the treatment of CTS. Although ESDT has been shown to have a curative effect on CTS, there is no consensus on which pressure parameter is more effective. Therefore, in this study, the effectiveness of ESDT applied at different pressure parameters in the treatment of CTS will be examined.
Inferior alveolar nerve block anesthesia is one of the most commonly used regional block anesthesia in dentistry. The factors that determine the success of this type of anesthesia which is applied so frequently, are not reported in the literature. It is to reveal and evaluate patient and dentist-based factors, especially in anesthesia applied by trainee dentists who have just learned this anesthesia block.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of olezarsen in participants with SHTG.
Objective: to examine the effect of the medium intensity coughing technique during subcutaneous low molecular weight heparin injection on pain severity and individual satisfaction in general surgery patients. Method: a prospective, quasi-experimental study included 100 patients who had prescribed a subcutaneous low molecular weight heparin injection once in 24 hours. Each patient received two injections by the same researcher using standard injection technique with medium intensity coughing technique and only standard injection technique.
Psychological status of couples attending to IVF programmes is important due to possible effect on final result. Observers aim to investigate the depression, anxiety and stress scores of couples before and after the procedure.
In this study, based on the integrated health literacy model, it is aimed to increase the nutritional literacy level of university students and to strengthen their healthy nutritional attitudes with the multi-component nutrition education to be given.
