There are limited studies on perioperative hypersensitivity (POH) reactions in children. The diagnosis of POH might be underestimated due to the difficulty of recognizing the reactions. Anaphylaxis may go unnoticed due to the unconscious state of the patient. Urticaria may be overlooked due to the sterile covers. This study aimed to evaluate POH reactions prospectively.
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, one of the most commonly performed abdominal surgeries, is a gold standard therapy for surgical treatment of benign biliary diseases. Erector spinae plane block (ESPB) was first presented in 2016 as the treatment of neuropathic pain in a case series, and gained popularity very quickly due to its safety applicability, and effect on both the visceral and parietal component of pain by providing paravertebral, transforaminal and epidural spread. Preoperative application of ESPB has taken its place as a part of multimodal analgesia in laparoscopic cholecystectomy cases over time and has been shown to reduce postoperative pain scores and opioid consumption and to improve quality of recovery scores. However, there is no data regarding the use of ESPB in the postoperative period as a rescue therapy.
Motor imagery is the mental rehearsal of simple or complex motor movements in which no clear body movement occurs. It can also be defined as the mental simulation of movement without revealing any real motor movement. Studies have shown that similar brain regions are activated during the performance of the movement and the imagery of the movement. According to the results obtained from advanced imaging techniques, it has been reported that activations occur in similar areas during motor imagery and physical performance, including brain areas such as premotor areas, parietal lobe, basal ganglia, anterior cingulate cortex, and cerebellum. When the literature is examined, it has been seen that motor imagery applications are used in many different areas. In 2021, the effect of motor imagery training on students' motor imagery levels and practice in the education of medical school students by Collet et al. was investigated. As a result of the training, it was reported that motor skills improved and it strengthened the learning of medical skills.

One of the most common problems in patients in the postoperative period is pain and the associated deterioration in sleep quality. Deterioration in sleep quality can cause pain to be perceived more severely. It is recommended to use non-pharmacological approaches as well as pharmacological interventions in the management of these problems. This study was planned to determine the effect of hot foot bath and lavender essential oil foot bath application on postoperative sleep quality and pain in patients undergoing abdominal surgery.
The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a central venous catheter (CVC) care protocol, which was created using current guidelines, research results, and expert opinions, on developing CVC-related bloodstream infection in patients with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) until discharge.
In this study, it is aimed to examine the effect of oral care training for oral mucositis, which will be given by the researcher to patients who have undergone bone marrow transplantation, on the incidence and severity of oral mucositis in patients. The aim of the study is to be carried out in a public and private hospital in Antalya province, in two different hospitals with a public and private status, and with a total of 60 patients, 30 of which are in the experimental group and 30 in the control group. In the study, "oral care training for oral mucositis" and "oral mucositis follow-up procedure" will be developed by the researcher for bone marrow transplant patients. Bone marrow transplant patients will be educated and followed up according to the follow-up procedure before starting the chemotherapy regimen treatments planned before the transplant.
The goal of this interventional study is to learn about determine the effect of mandala art therapy on blood glucose level, mood and anxiety in pregnant women with abnormal oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) value. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Does mandala art therapy affect the mood of pregnant women? - Does mandala art therapy affect the anxiety level of pregnant women? After measuring fasting plasma glucose and drinking oral glucose by the hospital staff in the experimental group in the outpatient clinic, after the 1st and 2nd hour measurements, a total of 2 individual mandala activities (Mandala training certificate was obtained by Dr. Lecturer Esra KARATAŞ OKYAY) will be performed by the researcher.
This is a randomized, active-controlled, double-blind clinical study designed to evaluate the antiretroviral activity, safety, and tolerability of doravirine/islatravir (DOR/ISL [MK-8591A]) in treatment-naïve participants with human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection. It is hypothesized that DOR/ISL is non-inferior to bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (BIC/FTC/TAF) as assessed by the percentage of participants with HIV-1 ribonucleic acid (RNA) <50 copies/mL at Week 48.
General anesthesia and mechanical ventilation decrease pulmonar volume; attenuate small airway closure, atelectasis, and increase the rate of hypoxia and postoperative pulmonary complications. Lung volume in obese patients decreases inversely with the increase in body mass index. Obesity is associated with increased atelectasis, hypoxia and postoperative pulmonary complication rates during anesthesia . Alveolar recruitment maneuver is a technique where high positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) is applied for for short periods, follwed by a continuous PEEP appşication throughout surgery. This has become a standard practice during anesthesia in recent years. Oxygen reserve index (ORi) is an index measured with a non-invasive finger-tip sensor and shows the oxygen content of the venous blood. It is effective at high oxygen levels and may indicate the presence of hyperoxia. Our aim is to examine the effect of alveolar recruitment maneuver on oxygenation parameters under anesthesia and the correlation with ORi in morbidly obese patients.
