There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The objective of this retrospective study with 5-year follow-up was to compare crestal bone loss (CBL) and buccal bone thickness (BBT) around triangular cross-section neck (TN) to round neck (RN) implants retaining mandibular overdentures, using cone-beam computed tomography
CKJX839D12302 is a pivotal Phase III study designed to test the hypothesis that treatment with inclisiran sodium 300 milligram (mg) subcutaneous (s.c.) administered on Day 1, Day 90, and every 6 months thereafter in patients at high cardiovascular (CV) risk without a prior major atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) event will significantly reduce the risk of 4-Point-Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events (4P-MACE) defined as a composite of CV death, non-fatal myocardial infarction (MI), non-fatal ischemic stroke, and urgent coronary revascularization, compared to placebo.
People with schizophrenia have low functionality and psychological resilience. Psychological resilience of individuals can be improved. The funcionality of individual with improved psychological resilience can also be improved. Therefore, both resilience and functionality can be increased by appliying resilience programs to patients with schizophrenia.
Lipedema is a common disease of subcutaneous adipose tissue. The most common complaint of patients with swelling in the affected extremity is pain. In addition, patients with lipedema may experience conditions that can greatly affect the health and quality of life of the individual, such as loss of muscle strength and exercise capacity, and deterioration in activity levels of daily living. It is still unknown whether the decrease in muscle strength in patients with lipedema is part of this condition or whether decreased activity levels lead to decreased muscle strength. Sarcopenia is an important health problem characterized by age-related loss of muscle mass and muscle function. The relationship between muscle weakness and sarcopenia in patients with lipedema has not been investigated before. Early recognition of possible sarcopenia and functional limitations in these patients may be important to increase the ability of patients to participate in physical activity as part of their conservative management. There is no study in the literature investigating sarcopenia in patients with a diagnosis of lipedema. The aim of this study is to evaluate patients with a diagnosis of lipedema in terms of sarcopenia. In addition, the relationship between sarcopenia and age, body mass index, exercise frequency, lipedema type, and stage will be investigated in patients diagnosed with lipedema.
Breast cancer remains the most common type of cancer in the world. Cancer itself and chemotherapy treatment, which is one of the most important treatment steps, may cause unwanted physical, social and psychological effects (symptoms) for the patient. These effects significantly affect the patient's quality of life. It is possible to manage the symptoms and reduce their destructive effects with professional care and treatment support that includes evidence-based practices. On the other hand, breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy during the Coronavirus Pandemic form the risk group in terms of infection; On the one hand, the continued treatment and care support, on the other hand, required changes in the approach to the patient in order to reduce the risk of infection. In addition to reducing the risk of infection, mobile applications can create an alternative during the coronavirus Pandemic. process in order to maintain quality and uninterrupted care and treatment. This study is planned to be conducted analytically in a randomized controlled single-blind pattern in order to determine the effect of the interactive nurse support program developed with the mobile application on the patient outcomes (symptom management, quality of life, social support perception and anxiety) in breast cancer patients who received chemotherapy during the coronavirus pandemic. Within the scope of the study, interactive nurse support developed with mobile application will be applied to the research group from patients who apply to the polyclinic to receive chemotherapy treatment, and the control group will receive standard care. As a result of the analysis of the data collected systematically with forms and scales, the effect of the interactive nurse support program developed with the mobile application on patient outcomes (symptom management, quality of life, social support perception and anxiety) will be evaluated and recommendations will be made regarding the use of the application in patients with breast cancer.
The goal of this study investigate the effects of 12-week exercise training on pulmonary function, symptoms, functional capacity, and quality of life (QoL) in patients with severe COVID 6 months after intensive care discharge. The main question it aims to answer are: 1-Does exercise training given in post-COVID-19 syndrome have an effect on pulmonary function, symptoms, functional capacity, muscle strength and quality of life? 25 severe post-COVID patients (35 M) were in exercise group (EG) (age=52.9±11 years, 18M), and 25 (age=53.6±11.9 years, 17M) were in the control group (CG). EG received aerobic exercise (30-min walking) and upper and lower extremity strength training for 12 weeks for 3 days/week. CG continued only routine follow-up.
The aim of this study; to measure the BPA release amount of fixed lingual retainers applied with Bis-GMA-containing composite , fixed lingual retainers applied with Bis-GMA-free composite, vacuum-formed and hawley retainers which used for retention after orthodontic treatment to evaluate whether they are risk factors for the patient and to compare BPA releases. Study method and data collection techniques: In this study, individuals will be selected from the patients who will be treated at Aydın Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics between July 2021 and July 2022, whose orthodontic treatment will be completed. These patients will be randomly divided into four groups according to the type of retention appliance to be chosen: those who are applied a fixed lingual retainer with a bis-GMA-containing composite, those with a fixed lingual retainer with a bis-GMA-free composite, those with an vacuum formed retainers, and those with a hawley retainers. After the debonding of the fixed attachments at the end of the treatment appointment, the retention appliances will be applied 1 day later so that BPA, which is released from the resin adhesives used to bond the attachments, does not affect the study data. Saliva samples will be taken from the patients before the appliance is inserted, 1 hour, 7 days and 30 days after the appliance is inserted.
The aim of our study is to investigate the effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy (rTMS) on lower urinary system dysfunctions and detrusor muscle activity in stroke patients.
This study will assess the incidence of osteoporosis and osteoporotic fracture risk of registered home health patients in the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
The study is a randomized controlled trial. The cases will be divided into two groups as the Homespirometer group and the control group. Breathing exercises, aerobic exercise and peripheral muscle strengthening will be performed in both groups. A home-type spirometer will be given to the homespirometer group and it will be requested to send the spirometric measurement every week. The cases will be called to the hospital for control and evaluated at baseline, 3rd, 6th and 12th months. Evaluations include assessments such as exercise capacity measurement, muscle strength measurement, disease attack frequency, symptom scoring.
