There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Low back pain is a public health problem faced by 65-80% of the world's population at some point in their lives. Although the prognosis for low back pain is considered good, 80% of patients with acute low back pain recover within 6 weeks, and 7-10% of them have complaints that last longer than 3 months and become chronic, causing great labor and economic loss. A multidisciplinary approach is often required in the treatment of low back pain, which is one of the most common diseases in the society and one of the most expensive diseases in terms of both labor loss and treatment cost. In this approach, waist exercises and waist protection training are accepted as an effective and economical method. In our society, there is no conscious education and exercise habits about the techniques of protecting back health. Most patients with chronic low back pain initially ignore low back pain, but apply to health centers when symptoms related to low back pathology become severe. In many studies, it has been shown that strong waist and abdominal muscles and good physical condition reduce musculoskeletal damage in low back traumas. Most studies show that back extensors and flexors are of low strength in patients with low back pain compared to asymptomatic individuals. In the study conducted by Lee et al. on 3000 male workers, it was found that low back pain was lower in those with exercise habits. In a systematic review and meta-analysis conducted in 2017, it was reported that leisure time physical activity can reduce the risk of chronicity of nonspecific low back pain by 11-16%. When the literature is examined, it is seen that there are different exercise approaches recommended for the conservative treatment of low back pain. There are studies reporting that pilates is effective in terms of pain, disability, kinesiophobia, function, quality of life, flexibility and balance in patients with low back pain and that it has no harmful effects. In another study, it was reported that traditional Chinese exercises are effective in terms of pain, disability and cognitive function in low back pain, and interventions performed 1-2 times a week and 3-4 times a week are associated with reduced pain. Liu et al. In a study conducted in 2019 by Chen-style Tai Chi in individuals aged 50 years and older with chronic nonspecific low back pain, it was found that Chen style Tai Chi reduced pain but did not improve lower extremity proprioception. Wieland et al. showed that yoga led to small or moderate improvements in low back-related functions at three and six months, compared with non-exercise controls in chronic nonspecific low back pain. However, while there are only subjective measurements in the literature about which one is more effective, there is no evidence that includes objective measurements. For this purpose, in this study, the investigators aim to determine which of the different exercises recommended for low back pain contract the muscle more effectively and compare these measurements with anthropometric measurements.
The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between diets of children with cystic fibrosis and glycemic responses and some inflammatory markers.
The aim of this pioneer study was to evaluate the efficacy (heart rate value, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, cortisol levels, BIS monitoring, patients' anxiety) of Mindfulness Meditation as a sedative technique during dental implant surgery.
The aim of our study is to objectively and clearly determine the differences between the Spasticity and Decreased Functionality in the Upper Extremity Flexor Group Muscles After Stroke, the Vibration, mBZHT and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Applications in terms of treatment process and effectiveness, and to increase the use of the hands and upper extremities in the daily life activities of the patient.
Is dietary intake of advanced glycation different between individuals with and without migraine? Is there a difference between the groups in terms of energy and nutrients? The answers to these questions are sought.
This study was conducted to determine the effect of Buerger Allen exercises on lower extremity perfusion and wound healing in patients with foot ulcer type 2 diabetes. The Buerger Allen exercise is a specific exercise that aims to improve circulation in the feet and legs. Buerger Allen exercise is an ideal and noninvasive therapy for diabetic patients with a diabetic foot ulcer as it is an easy-to-learn, repetitive, low-cost, and low-risk physical activity. Subjects were randomly allocated to either the control or intervention group. The ulcers and lower extremity perfusion of the patients in both the intervention and control groups were examined and measured.
Aim: Research was conducted to determine the effect of preparation for the procedure with a toy IV catheter before IV catheterization in children aged 6-10 years, on children's pain, fear and emotional indicators. Methods: It is a randomized controlled intervention study. The study was completed with 80 children. There are two groups in the study. Before the IV catheterization, the children in the intervention group were treated with the toy IV catheter developed by the researchers on the knitted doll, and then the procedure was provided to them. Conversely, no intervention was applied to the control group other than the normal procedure of the hospital. Stratified block randomization method was used to assign children to groups. In the study; "Personal Data Collection Form", "Wong-Baker Faces Pain Scale (WBFPS)", "Child Fear Scale (CFS)" and "Child Emotional Manifestation Scale (CEMS)" were used to collect data.
Endoscopic microsurgical procedures of the larynx (direct examination-bx, microlaryngeal resection) require the anesthesiologist and surgeon to work in the same area throughout the procedure, and while ventilation is provided during the procedure, small diameter endotracheal tubes are preferred to see the surgical area as easily as possible. However, it is sometimes observed that even conventional endotracheal tubes of this diameter make surgery difficult by obstructing the view. On the other hand, apneic laryngoscopy techniques used in upper airway surgeries, such as microlaryngoscopy and laryngotracheal surgery, where the airway is shared by the anesthesiologist and surgeon, have been replaced by safer and controlled high-frequency jet ventilation applications due to the risk of hypoxemia and hypercapnia. In recent years, oxygenation has come to the fore with Transnasal High Flow Insufflation (OptiflowTM - Fischer & Paykel Healthcare, Auckland, New Zealand), an apneic oxygenation method. This randomized study aimed to compare the effects of high-flow nasal oxygen and jet ventilation on oxygenation in patients receiving general anaesthesia for endolaryngeal surgery.
The aim of this study is to investigate the opinions of patients who have undergone bone tumor resection surgery about post-op exercises.
The former aim of this study is to determine whether the arm swings change in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) according to healthy subjects. The latter purposes to investigate the correlation between balance parameters and arm swing, how to change arm swing according to severity of the disease, and to determine the relationship between balance and the severity of disease, the relationship of posture both arm swing and severity of disease in patients with COPD. In accordance with this purposes, 20 patients with COPD who have Global Initiative for Chronic Obstruction Lung Disease (GOLD) stage 1-2-3 and 20 healthy controls will be included between the ages of 40 and 65, respectively. Tests and questionnaires will be used in order to determine the severity of COPD and to evaluate posture. Berg Balance Scale, Time Up and Go Test, 6 Minute Pegboard and Ring Test, 6 Minute Walk Test and gait analysis will be performed. It is expected that by determining the parameters that can be affected by severity of COPD. It is estimate to have information about severity of the disease by means of observational analysis. It will guide professional working in the field.
