There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Brief Summary: In this study, the investigators aimed to compare the effects of different types of endotracheal instruments (Machintosh laryngoscope, McGrath videoingoscope and C-Mac videoryngoscope) on intraocular pressure, optic nerve diameter and hemodynamic parameters.
Even in healthy individuals, there may be tensions in the diaphragm muscle due to factors such as wrong posture, wrong breathing pattern, sedentary lifestyle, and it cannot fully fulfill its function. As a result of this tension in the diaphragm muscle, the breathing pattern deteriorates and sleep quality decreases. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of diaphragm release technique on sleep duration and sleep quality in healthy individuals. In this study, sleep quality of individuals will be evaluated with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PUKI), sleep duration, heart rate and step count with Fitbit® Inspire 2. 32 individuals living in Tokat will be included in the study. After obtaining the sociodemographic information of the individuals, the average of sleep duration, heart rate and step counts will be recorded for 3 days with the Fitbit® Inspire 2 wearable technology to be provided within the scope of the project. Sleep quality will be recorded with PUKI. The diaphragm release technique will be applied in 3 sessions, with 2 days of rest in between. After the applications are finished, sleep time, heart rate and step counts will be recorded for 3 days with Fitbit® Inspire 2 wearable technology.
The aim of our study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a nociception monitor in providing adequate postoperative analgesia for patients needing critical care after surgery. Besides, the study searches to determine the difference between the amount of analgesic medication used when guided by nociception or standard pain management protocols. It is also aimed to reveal the incidence of delirium when pain management is managed under the nociception level index (NOL) guidance. 60 postoperative patients admitted to the postanesthesia care unit (PACU) after general anesthesia for surgery for more than 2 hours will be included and allocated into 2 groups(n=30): the control group (Group A) and the study group (Group B). Group Standard of care will be followed with standard monitorization only along with pain scales and receive rescue analgesia according to them. However, Group NOL will acquire NOL monitorization throughout the ICU stay and have the same rescue analgesia under NOL guidance with concurrent pain scales. Data to be recorded are total postoperative analgesic consumption, NOL values along with CPOT scores, and delirium.
Scoliosis is a three-dimensional torsional deformation of the spine and trunk. Chest deformity and pelvic asymmetry are often seen together with spinal deformity. Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis occurs from the onset of puberty until growth plate closure and is the most common of all scoliosis. One of the most common deformities among posture disorders is known as scoliosis. The change in load distribution resulting from this three-dimensional deformation causes postural changes in patients with idiopathic scoliosis. According to a study, it is thought that postural control and central information processing efficiency may decrease as the Cobb angle increases in people with scoliosis.
By saving life or delaying death, the length of stay of the patient in the intensive care unit is prolonged, and this leads to the emergence of other problems in addition to the disease in the patient. Pressure injuries are one of these problems. Although many internationally accepted pressure injury prevention guidelines are available, it is frequently reported that there is no significant reduction in pressure injury prevalence. It has been emphasized in the literature that nurses do not have enough knowledge about the prevention of pressure injury. "Blended Learning", in which technologies such as web-based, e-learning and m-learning are used together with face-to-face education, is an effective approach in realizing learning outcomes. This approach facilitates the achievement of the educational program's objectives by integrating the positive aspects of web-assisted learning and face-to-face learning. In the light of these explanations, it is aimed to examine the effect of pressure injury prevention training given with the blended learning approach on the care behaviors of intensive care nurses.
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of two different methods (traditional bed bathing and disposable antibacterial wipe bathing) on vital signs in patients on mechanical ventilation support.
The goal of this clinical trial is to show the additive effects of neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) applied to the multifidus muscle in addition to stabilization exercises in patients with chronic low back pain. The main question it aims to answer is: - Does NMES have additional effects on multifidus muscle thickness? Participants will go under a treatment protocol combination of lumber stabilization exercises and NMES. Researchers will compare the groups Group 1 which has only lumber stabilization exercises and Group 2 which has both exercises and NMES to see if any changes occur in multifidus muscle thickness.
Intramuscular (IM) vaccination administered using the right injection technique is known to cause less pain and injury. Nurses employ different approaches like applying pressure, tapping the skin, cold and hot applications for reducing the pain caused by the IM vaccine administration. Helfer skin tap is among the techniques that relax muscles. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of Helfer skin tap technique on pain reduction and hemodynamic parameters during tetanus injection in pregnant women. This study was conducted on pregnant women who applied to the Family Health Center to get a tetanus vaccine. The Helfer skin tap and standard application groups each included 33 and 32 pregnant women, respectively.
The aim of the study was to examine and compare the effects of Mediterranean diet, curcumin supplementation with Mediterranean diet in individuals with ulcerative colitis, and resveratrol supplementation with Mediterranean diet in individuals with ulcerative colitis, on disease symptoms, quality of life, and inflammatory biomarkers.
The aim of this study was to see the effect of pilates-based exercise training applied with hybrid telerehabilitation method on Cobb angle, trunk rotation angle (ATR), respiratory functions, respiratory muscle strength and functional capacity in children with AIS between the ages of 10-18 and home-based pilates exercise. compare its effectiveness with respect to its training. Investigators of this study think that synchronous telerehabilitation sessions added to home-based pilates exercise training in children with AIS with moderate and moderate-to-severe curves can have positive effects on the evaluation parameters examined, and the results of this study can guide the relevant physiotherapists and health professionals by adding a new perspective to the literature.
