Introduction: The interruption of education within the scope of quarantine and isolation methods during the pandemic process has caused nursing students studying in clinical practice areas to be away from the clinic for a long time. This situation not only affected the anxiety levels of nursing students, but also caused them to feel inadequate and to experience stress. Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of emotional freedom technique on nursing students' styles of coping with anxiety and stress. Method:In this experimentally designed study with pretest-posttest control group, freedom of emotion technique will be applied to the experimental group for 4 sessions. In the pre-implementation phase and after the emotional freedom technique session, the state anxiety scale, coping styles scale, and subjective discomfort level scale will be applied.
The primary hypothesis is that pembrolizumab/vibostolimab (MK-7684A) in combination with chemotherapy is superior to pembrolizumab in combination with chemotherapy with respect to overall survival (OS) in treatment-naïve metastatic participants with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
This study will evaluate the combination of a fixed dose pembrolizumab/vibostolimab co-formulation (MK-7684A) with etoposide/platinum chemotherapy followed by MK-7684A compared to the combination of atezolizumab with etoposide/platinum chemotherapy followed by atezolizumab in the first-line treatment of Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer (ES-SCLC). The primary hypothesis is, with respect to overall survival, MK-7684A in combination with the background therapy of etoposide/platinum followed by MK-7684A, is superior to atezolizumab in combination with the background therapy of etoposide/platinum followed by atezolizumab.
The purpose of this randomized clinical trial is to compare the clinical/radiographic success of Hall technique and modified Hall technique in the treatment of primary molars with deep dentine carious lesions in children (3-12-year-old). The secondary aim is to examine the effect of marginal ridge breakdown level on treatment success.
Aimed to be done in the planned thesis to evaluate the dental and periodontal health of patients with newly diagnosed JIA and healthy-periodontal problems with cytokines from saliva and oxidative stress markers non-invasively, and thus, to determine the markers' evaluability in terms of markers in determining the state of inflammation among individuals with and without the disease.
Compared with other chronic disease states, MS patients feel more uncertainty and less control over illness and non-illness aspects of life, and as a result, they have poor self-management abilities. It was thought that providing evidence-based information and using balanced information in terms of risk/benefit in patient education would affect the patient's self management. It is thought that a developed comprehensive self-management module by clinical pharmacist will contribute to the literature and clinical practice, and will positively affect the treatment process of patients. This study is aimed to improve the self-management of MS patients by informing them about the disease, treatment options, and appropriate drug use by the clinical pharmacist, and to analyze the effect of the self-management module in the short and long term by examining the change in patients' self-management, participation in the treatment process and care satisfaction and compliance.
Acute heart failure (AHF) is defined as rapid onset or rapid worsening of typical signs and symptoms of heart failure (HF) according to the 2016 European Society of Cardiology Guidelines. AHF is the first cause of hospitalization in people over 65 in Western countries, accounting for more than 1 million hospitalizations per year in the USA. This disease has many repercussions not only in terms of mortality and morbidity, but also in terms of resources and infrastructures necessary for these patients' treatment, which constitutes a high economic burden for the national health care system. Even with growing knowledge and means, nowadays, the prognosis of AHF is still poor and there are no proven therapies that lead to long-term benefits in terms of reduced mortality. A better management of the acute phase of decompensation, including the definition of effective diagnostic-therapeutic workup and the use of innovative drugs, could improve the course of the disease, with positive effects on the patient (gain in survival and reduction of admissions), but also on the community (containment of the overall health costs). In recent years, numerous scores have been outlined in various AHF settings, considering only a small number of parameters. Several prognostic models have been developed suggesting how difficult it is to evaluate the AHF patients' prognosis. All this effort towards the development of so numerous prognostic models is justified by the fact that, despite the evolution of treatments, the risk of re-hospitalization and of both intrahospital mortality and after discharge remains high. Several studies have investigated potential prognostic factors that could help evaluating the risk of cardiovascular events, but now there is no accurate and complete prognostic score, particularly for AHF patients. Therefore, to date there are no accurate scores or determinants of short- and medium-term prognosis that allow to improve the management of these patients. This will be an observational, prospective, multicentric, international, non-commercial (non-profit) study. The primary endpoint will be to evaluate the best parameters, among clinical, laboratory and echocardiographic variables assessed within 24 hours from the hospital admission and before discharge, that are able to predict rehospitalization for HF and cardiovascular death at 3 and 6 months, in patients admitted to the cardiology department for acute exacerbation of chronic HF or de novo AHF.
Protection of dental hard tissues is one of the most important points of cariology. For this purpose, oral hygiene training (effective brushing and motivation), non-invasive approaches such as flouride varnish applications and micro-invasive approaches such as resin infiltration technique are applied in clinical practice. In this study, the effect of resin infiltration or fluoride varnish application on lesion depth in individuals with moderate/high caries risk was investigated. The study was a randomized controlled, prospective and parallel designed clinical trial. 60 patients were included in the study and patients were randomly allocate to the groups. Caries risk of individuals was determined according to Cariogram, which is a computer program․ According to visual clinical examination, stage the caries continuum were (ICDAS 1,2) scored and the caries diagnostic criteria scored acording to (Nyvad 1, 2, 4, 5) The teeth wich has one caries lesion in border of enamel or prolonged to first 1/3 part of dentin in bite-wing radiograph (lesion level: E1, E2, D1) included in this study. Patient's gingival condition evaluating at initial and control sessions with gingival index (0=healthy, 1=mild inflammation, 2=moderate inflammation and bleeding on pressure). Oral hygiene training was given to all subjects included in the study and the use of fluoride toothpaste (1450 ppm, NaF) was recommended. This study was performed in a single center by experienced physicians. Resin infiltration (Icon DMG, USA) was applied to one of the groups(n=30), while fluoride varnish (ClinproTM White Varnish 22600 ppm, 3M ESPE, USA) was applied to the other group(n=30). The patients follow-up time was anticipated for 60 months in 6-month periods. The inicial visual clinical examination(T0) and follow-up sessions (T 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) were conducted by two experienced researchers blind to the group information. At the aim of the study, evaluation difference in non-cavited proximal lesion progression between the resin infiltration (micro-invasive) and fluoride varnish (non-invasive) treatment options at the individuals with moderate or high risk of caries.

THE EFFECT OF LIFESTYLE ON THE PROGRESS OF COVID 19 INFECTION The development of COVID 19 disease depends on the interaction with the immunity of the host. The immune response of the host is related to age, gender, nutrition, sleep and physical activity. Our study in Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital; Between 31 January-31 May 2021,positive COVID 19 PCR test was performed with 66 patients over the age of 50, who received inpatient treatment. Demographic data of the patients, length of hospitalization, alcohol/tobacco use, BMI, comorbidities, regular use medication or not, thorax CT findings, place of discharge after treatment, laboratory parameters were recorded at hospitalization and discharge. To evaluate the pre-infection lifestyle; physical activity, nutrition and sleep habits were questioned. According to the PSQS (Pittsburg Sleep Quality Scale) although the increase in discharged lymphocyte measurements compared to the first hospitalization of the patients in the good and bad sleep groups was significant, there was no significant difference between the groups. In the evaluation between the groups, the increase in the NLR value at the first hospitalization was significant in the bad sleep group compared to the good sleep group. There was no difference between the groups in terms of NLR. According to the MNA(Mini Nutritional Assessment)scale ;the increase in the discharge lymphocyte value of the groups compared to the value at the first hospitalization was significant. The increases in the discharge lymphocyte measurements of the patients compared to the first hospitalization were significant between the groups (p<0.05). The increase in discharge lymphocyte values in patients at risk of malnutrition compared to the first hospitalization was higher than in patients with malnutrition (p<0.05). The decrease in discharge NLR values compared to the first hospitalization was significant in the group under normal nutrition and malnutrition risk. The difference between the first hospitalization PLT (Platelet)measurements of the groups according to the MNA scale was significant. According to the International Brief Physical Activity Survey; the increase in the discharge lymphocyte value of the inactive, minimally active and very active groups was significant compared to the first hospitalization. A significant difference was found between the PLT measurements between the groups (p<0.05). PLT measurements of very active cases were higher than those of minimally active cases (p<0.05). In this study, in which we examined the effects of lifestyle before the diagnosis of COVID 19 on the course of COVID 19, we observed that there is no need for intensive care in patients who are well fed, have good sleep quality and are physically active.
