There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The goal of this randomized controlled study was to compare the effect of aerobic exercise and pelvic floor muscle strengthening exercises on uterus involution. In the scope of study following questions will be answered at the end of the study. First which of the exercise type is more effective to enhance uterus involution? Secondly, does exercises induce changes in lactation rate during the study period? Thirdly, does exercises improve the experienced pain? Study will be consisted of three groups as control group, pelvic floor exercise group and aerobic exercise group. Control group will take routine gynaecological treatment. Pelvic floor muscle strengthening exercise group will attend to seven day pelvic floor strengthening exercise programme. Aerobic exercise group will attend to seven day aerobic exercise programme consisting of walking.
In laparoscopic surgeries; a trocar is inserted through a small incision and an intervention is made into the peritoneal cavity. Approximately 3-4 liters of carbon dioxide (CO2) insufflation (inflating the abdominal cavity with carbon dioxide gas) is applied and the intra-abdominal pressure is adjusted to 10-20 mmHg. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy operation is routinely performed with 12 mmHg and 14 mmHg pressures in our operating room, and the preferred pressure value is; It is determined by the surgical team to be the most appropriate value for the patient and the operation. Both pressure values applied to the patients intraoperatively are within safe ranges. The mechanical power of ventilation (MP) is the amount of energy transferred per unit time from the mechanical ventilator to the respiratory system. Although this energy is mainly used to overcome airway resistance, some of it directly affects the lung tissue, potentially causing ventilator induced lung injury (VILI). To prevent ventilator-associated lung injury, it requires the mechanical ventilator to be adjusted so that the least amount of energy is transferred to the respiratory system per unit time for each patient. In the results obtained in the published studies; increased mechanical strength has been associated with increased in-hospital mortality, higher hospital stay and higher ICU follow-up requirement. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of two different intra-operative intra-abdominal pressure levels applied to patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anesthesia on 'Mechanical Power (MP)'.
This study investigated the impact of traditional classical Turkish music as a telehealth intervention on reducing stress and loneliness among elderly individuals.
To evaluate the change of S. mutans and Lactobacillus spp. counts after all dental treatments were completed under general anesthesia and compare the groups in case of using probiotics and not using probiotics with the time for 6-months follow-up period.
The research was planned as a prospective, randomized controlled experimental study to determine the effect of online laughter yoga applied to menopausal women on vasomotor symptoms (VMS) and sleep quality. Research Hypotheses ar below; H0: Online laughter yoga has no effect on VMS. H1: Online laughter yoga has an effect on VMS. H0: Online laughter yoga has no effect on sleep quality. H1: Online laughter yoga has an effect on sleep quality.
The investigators aimed to search effect of magnesium Sulfate on extubation quality scores, recovery and pain in larynx micro surgery. The patients allocated to two groups to receive magnesium sulfate 30 mg/kg in 100 ml saline infusion (maximum 2g) (Group m) or saline 100 ml (Group S) before induction of anesthesia. Anesthesia induction performed with propofol 2 mg/kg, rocuronium 0.6 mg/kg, remifentanil 0.5 µg/kg and general anesthesia maintained with total intravenous anesthesia (propofol 3-7 mg/kg, remifentanil 0.05-0.1 µg/kg/min and O2/air 30/70 mixture) to the all patients. Extubation quality scores, Extubation time, NRS scores were assessed.
The increasing rate of usage of smartphones ushers in various health problems and smartphone addiction. In the literature, the research focused mainly on the relationship between smartphone addiction and depression, anxiety and musculoskeletal system problems; however, the number of studies on fatigue was limited. We believe that this paper will be of interest to the readers of your journal because it adds information about the effect of smartphone addiction on physical activity, on sleep quality and especially on fatigue.
Shoulder protraction is the forward tilt of the head with hyperextension of the cervical spine and is associated with lengthening of the sternocleidomastoid and scalene muscles. With the lengthening of the flexor muscles, the weakened and shortened trapezius, levator scapula, and serratus anterior muscles lead to extra flexor torque and sustained contraction.
This is a single center prospective study comparing the extension pin block vs pin orthosis-extension block pinning for bonny mallet fractures.
Aim: Apical periodontitis(AP) caused by root canal infection is the most frequent pathological lesion in the jaws. Bacterial products, host immune cells and biologically active factors called locally produced cytokines(such as IL-1, TNF-α) have been reported to play an important role in the pathogenesis of AP. Metalloproteinases(MMP), is a measurable biomarker that plays an important role in the degradation and regeneration of collagen and is an indicator of collagen. This study aimed to determine the main bacterial species in the microbiota as Gr(+) and Gr(-) and to compare the relationship between MMP-9 and TNF-α with controlled patient groups. Methodology:60 patients with AP and extraction indication were included in the study. 30 systemically and orally healthy volunteers were selected as the control group. After access cavity preparation, an initial microbiologic sample(S1) was taken from the root canal. After atraumatic extraction of the tooth, second microbial sample(S2) was taken from the external root surface. After bacterial DNA extraction, 16S rRNA gene primer was designed for sequence analysis. Bacterial community profiling was made by Sanger sequencing of the PCR products. Besides, blood samples were collected from all of the patients. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to measure levels of MMP-9 and TNF-α.
