NCT ID: NCT05868980 Completed - Vital Signs Clinical Trials

The Effect of Postnatal Lying Position on Cerebral Oxygenation in Newborns

Start date: February 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In the international delivery room guidelines, it is not specified which position is optimal for the baby stabilization. Here, the investigators want to evaluate the effects of the positions on postnatal adaptation and cerebral oxygenation in the delivery room of infants who did not require resuscitation. Infants will be randomly stabilized in the supine, right-side, left-side and prone positions (60 babies in all, 15/position). The investigators will record the 1st and 5th min Apgar scores and the heart rate, pulse oximetry and perfusion index at 2nd,5th and 10thmin. Near-infrared spectroscopy will be used to assess cerebral regional oxygen saturation.

NCT ID: NCT05868941 Active, not recruiting - COPD Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of Broncho Muco Cleaner Balloon Dilation Therapy

EXERTION
Start date: February 2, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In COPD patients with chronic bronchitis, it is aimed to determine whether the broncho muco cleaner balloon dilation method can provide clinical and functional benefit by causing destruction in hyperplasic goblet cells in the bronchial system. Although 2 studies have been published on this subject before, one of them is a retrospective design and the other is a pilot study consisting of only 10 patients . Therefore, it is clear that it should be supported by a controlled prospective study with more patients. Within the scope of the research, broncho muco cleaner balloon dilatation treatment will be performed with fiberoptic bronchoscope under general anesthesia in chronic bronchitis-predominant COPD cases, and the effectiveness and reliability of the procedure will be evaluated.

NCT ID: NCT05868447 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Perioperative Hemorrhage

Relationship Between ORI and Blood Transfusion in Spinal Surgery

Start date: December 15, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Concerns about the necessity and risks of blood transfusions have led to the search for new noninvasive monitoring methods. Oxygen reserve index (ORI), one of them, is a dimensionless index ranging from 0.00 (no reserve) to 1.00 (maximum reserve) according to oxygenation reserve status, and it is also a non-invasive and continuous measurement parameter. Some studies have examined ORi as an indicator for early detection of hypoxemia. There are reports in the literature that ORi and Pa02 values measured noninvasively during surgery are early precursors for desaturation and hypoxia.Researces aimed to investigate the relationship between perioperative blood transfusions and ORI in vertebral stabilization surgeries performed by the same surgical team in our clinic.

NCT ID: NCT05868278 Completed - Learning, Spatial Clinical Trials

Interactive Learning Method in Nursing Education

Start date: May 15, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The research will be conducted to determine the effect of the interactive learning method on the learning of the movement requirement of nursing students. 192 first-year students enrolled in a nursing faculty in Turkey will form the universe. Students who meet the criteria for inclusion in the research will be randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups according to their academic achievement scores. It is envisaged that the research will be completed with approximately 160 students (80=experiment, 80=control). The data of the research will be collected with the "Descriptive Characteristics Form", "Movement Requirement Knowledge Test", "Case Analysis" and "Student Opinion Evaluation Form for Interactive Learning". Expert opinions are taken on the data collection forms. Necessary revisions will be made accordingly. A case for educational purposes This case example was prepared. This case study will be taught to the control group in the classroom with the traditional method. The same case study will be taught to the experimental group in the classroom with the interactive learning method. The Easytestmaker application will be used in the interactive learning method. The data collection forms will be applied to the groups in the form of pre-application and post-application. At the end of the research data will be analyzed.

NCT ID: NCT05867485 Completed - COVID-19 Pneumonia Clinical Trials

The Effect of Special Discharge Training in the COVID-19

Start date: April 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aimed to evaluate the impact of specialized discharge education on the daily life activities and quality of life of geriatric patients hospitalized in COVID-19 wards. The motivation behind this study stems from the vulnerability of elderly patients during the COVID-19 pandemic and the necessity of tailored education to support their daily life activities and enhance their quality of life after discharge. The primary objective of this article is to determine the specific type of specialized discharge education that geriatric patients in COVID-19 wards require to improve their ability to sustain daily life activities and enhance their quality of life. The central idea of this study is that providing specialized discharge education to geriatric patients in COVID-19 wards can result in improvements in their daily life activities and quality of life. The main findings of the study demonstrate a significant enhancement in daily life activities and quality of life among patients who received specialized discharge education. These individuals exhibited increased independence in mobility, improved performance in daily life activities, and reported an overall improvement in their quality of life. These findings underscore the significance of specialized discharge education for geriatric patients hospitalized in COVID-19 wards and highlight its positive impact on their health outcomes and quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT05867446 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hemodialysis Patients

The Effect of Education Given to Hemodialysis Patients With Pecha Kuka Method on Attitude Towards Diet Therapy and Compliance With Fluid Restriction

Start date: April 12, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Hemodialysis complex treatment regimen includes fluid and diet management. In this context, it is recommended that patients choose foods with low sodium, potassium and phosphorus content, maintain adequate protein intake, and regulate their daily fluid intake not exceeding 1-2 liters. In maintaining the health of hemodialysis patients; It is very important that they comply with the treatment program, diet and fluid restrictions. As the life expectancy increases, the time spent with chronic disease also increases, and both the patient himself and his relatives living in the same house are faced with this chronic disease and accompanying stress factors for a longer period of time, making it difficult for them to adapt to the progression of the disease. Pecha Kucha (PK), meaning "chat voice" or "chat" in Japanese, refers to a well-crafted, fast and concise presentation format. In a PK presentation, each presenter is only allowed to show 20 PowerPoint slides for 20 seconds each on a timer. When the literature was examined, no study was found that evaluated the effect of the education given to hemodialysis patients with the Pecha Kuka method on the attitude towards diet therapy and compliance with fluid restriction. In addition, it is thought that this short and concise education method will contribute to a better understanding of the attitudes of patients receiving hemodialysis treatment towards diet therapy and their compliance with fluid restriction, thus providing important data for future studies.
