The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical performances of Edelweiss prefabricated veneers and direct resin composite restorations (Ceram-X Duo SphereTec) performed with U- veneer transparent templates used for anterior diastema closure and tooth reshaping over 3-year. The patient group consisted of individuals who applied for aesthetic complaints on their anterior teeth. 21 volunteer individuals without systemic disease were included in the study. Patients were randomly selected for each group. In Group 1; 38 teeth (10 patients) were restored with Edelweiss prefabricated veneers (Edelweiss Dentistry) in combination with Edelweiss nanohybrid resin composite (Edelweiss Dentistry) and Prime&Bond Universal (Dentsply Sirona) adhesive system. In Group 2; 36 teeth (11 patients) were restored with Ceram-X Duo SphereTec (Dentsply Sirona) resin composite in combination with U- veneer (Ultradent) transparent templates and Prime&Bond Universal adhesive systems. Properties of the restorations were evaluated at baseline, 6, 12, 24, and 36 months using Modified Ryge Criteria (USPHS Criteria). Data were evaluated using Chi-Square and Fisher's Exact tests (p=0.05).

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune and inflammatory disease. The pathogenesis of SLE results from interactions between genes, hormones, and the environment; however, the exact etiology is unknown. SLE can affect many organs and systems, including the musculoskeletal, hematological, renal, neuropsychiatric, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, and skin. Non-specific general complaints such as malaise, fatigue, arthralgia, anxiety, depression, fever, and weight loss are evident at the onset of the disease and during the activation periods. Patients experience hopelessness due to the complexity of the symptoms and the chronic and progressive nature of the disease, and they experience deterioration in their quality of life due to the interaction of anxiety and depression findings with other symptoms. SLE is a difficult disease to manage because of the different organ and system involvement processes. In addition, these symptoms of the disease and the nature of chronic pain, including central sensitization, cause it to accompany a process that is affected by the mood of the person. Some patients present to a rheumatologist with mild symptoms, while others may present with severe, life-threatening symptoms. The onset of the disease before the age of 18 is defined as childhood onset (juvenile). Childhood-onset SLE accounts for approximately 1/5 of SLE patients. It is known that the main mechanism in the formation of the disease is the production of more than one autoantibody. Although childhood SLE (jSLE) appears to be basically the same disease with similar etiology, pathogenesis, and laboratory findings as in adults, there are differences in the frequency and severity of clinical manifestations. In this respect, the clearest finding is that children with SLE have greater disease severity and earlier disease-related organ damage than adults with SLE. Studies on the disease show that patients with jSLE have not only physical but also cognitive effects. The aim of our study is to examine the effects of exercises applied with a dual-task approach on patients' physical and cognitive status in jSLE cases.

Surgical treatment is the most effective way to achieve effective and sustainable weight loss in patients with obesity and to improve the comorbidities caused by it. Although minimally invasive bariatric surgical procedures are applied today, postoperative pain is one of the most basic problems. Opioid-derived drugs used for pain control cause respiratory depression and constipation. Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols recommend reducing opioid use after bariatric surgery to help patients have a healthier postoperative period. Different methods such as transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block and erector spinae plane (ESP) block are used to reduce the postoperative opioid dose and for effective pain control. While these methods are effective in controlling somatic pain, they have no effect on visceral pain. It has been shown that patients' pain and opioid consumption decrease especially after celiac plexus block. Vagal and sympathetic afferent stimuli from the gastrointestinal tract, on the other hand, stimulate the vomiting center and cause nausea and vomiting. Paragastric neural block is a new method performed by injecting local anesthetic into the posterosuperior paragastric area in the area covering the left gastric artery by revealing the esophagogastric junction, proximal stomach, middle of the stomach, distal antrum, hepatoduodenal ligament and stomach posterior along the border of the lesser omentum. In this way, it is aimed to prevent both visceral pain and the symptoms of nausea and vomiting. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a simple, portable, and low-cost technology applied in neuroscience for therapeutic purposes and neurophysiological research of brain activity. Enhancing the impacts of training and improving performance in athletes through the use of tDCS is a significant aim for today. The primary purpose of this study is to determine how non-professional active athletes' balance and movement measurements can be affected by the simultaneous application of a 4-week balance training and anodal tDCS of motor cortex(M1). This study hypothesizes that anodal stimulation of motor cortex will enhance performance in balance training among moderately active and healthy participants. The study outcomes will provide data for literatures on performance enhancement by demonstrating how effective skill development can be acquired in a short time among moderately active athletes. In addition, the study outcomes will provide convenient tDCS parameter for future neuromodulation studies interested in the treatment of balance disorders in patients and the elderly. Uniquely, in our study, the link between tDCS and movement parameters will be investigated. Additionally, a long-term balance training program in combination with tDCS of M1 in amateur has never been tested in amateur athletes. The secondary purpose of the study is to obtain feedback from participants via pre- and post-tDCS and balance training, using continuous performance tests, estimated reaction time, and depression-anxiety scales to gather data on reaction time, anticipation, impulsivity, attention, and mood changes that directly affect athlete performance. In continuous performance test, a decrease in reaction times without an increase in the number of errors (misstep-commission) and the number of non-pressing (non-pressing-omission) will be considered as a successful outcome. While increasing balance performance and reducing the reaction time is anticipated as a positive outcome, simultaneously changes in mood, attention, and error rate is an unanticipated and undesired outcome. Although the selected stimulation area is not directly related to these functions, this study will additionally control for any potential changes that might have been missed in functions that are not the study's primary focus.
