There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects of traditional mat exercises, Reformer Pilates and Hammock Yoga approaches on pain, endurance, balance, disability, and quality of life of individuals who had Chronic Back Pain.
Background: Expressing breast milk in cases where breastfeeding is interrupted is important for infants to be fed breast milk however, many factors can affect mothers' breastfeeding experience, such as feeding attitudes and the level of social support. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship mothers' breast milk expression experience between infant feeding attitudes and perceived social support level. Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out in the postpartum and lactation unit of a city hospital in Istanbul, between September-November 2022. The study included 455 women who were volunteering to participate in the research, 18 years of age or older, in the 0-6 months postpartum period, having a living baby, continuing to breastfeed, and expressing breast milk at least once after birth. Data were collected with Mother-Baby Introductory Information Form, Breast Milk Expression Experience Measure (BMEE), Iowa Infant Feeding Attitude Scale (IIFAS), and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). The data were analyzed using the SPSS-21 statistical software package. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Which characteristics affect mothers' breast milk expression experiences, infant feeding attitudes, and perceived social support levels in the early postpartum period? - Is there a relationship between mothers' experiences of breast milk expression and their infant feeding attitudes and social support levels in the early postpartum period?
Bariatric surgery maintains its place in the literature as the most effective treatment method for obesity. In order for the surgery to be effective, it is important for individuals to adapt to the surgical process. This process has become more manageable with lifestyle changes and health education. Mindfulness practices are (useful forms of intervention) for practicing and restructuring the brain for healthier eating habits. The results of mindfulness studies show that mindful eating practices can be effective in the prevention and treatment of obesity. Studies on mindfulness in obesity are increasing rapidly in the literature; however, few studies have tested this approach in bariatric surgery patients. This research was planned in an action research design to examine the effect of mindfulness-based education program on individuals' mindful eating in bariatric surgery patients. As an action in the research, an mindfullness-based training program will be developed for the bariatric patient group. Then, in the preoperative period, a four-week, weekly session of mindfulness-based exercise and eating training will be given to the action group as an intervention. Mindful Eating Questionnaire will be applied to all participants (action and control group) before the training, and data will be collected from the action group with the vignette technique. A short cut story will be prepared, and the participants will be asked to complete the short story in written form. At the end of the training sessions, a focus group discussion will be held with the participants. An in-depth interview will be conducted with each participant in line with the semi-structured interview form in the third and sixth months after the surgery. The Mindful Eating Questionnaire will be readministered to both the action group and the control group. During and after the training, participants will be asked to write down any changes they notice in their diaries. In the research, quantitative data will be evaluated with descriptive statistical tests, and qualitative data will be evaluated with content analysis, descriptive and thematic analysis. As a result of the research, it is aimed to improve the mindful eating of the participants. It is anticipated that the research will increase the mindfulness level of the participants in their lives and contribute to future research.
Previous studies conducted on the hemodynamic effects of pneumoperitoneum pressures created by different insufflation flows are very limited in the literature. In a current literature review, there was no study found comparing the effects of hemodynamic changes created by low and high insufflation flows and pneumoperitoneum pressure on cerebral oxygenation. The purpose of the study was to contribute to the literature by investigating the effects of pneumoperitoneum pressures created by different flows on brain oxygenation.
In this study, the aim is to develop a scale that assesses the awareness levels of particularly short and/or long-term effects, especially related to physiotherapy, in individuals diagnosed with high incidence and survival rates of breast cancer.
Objective: To investigate the effects of single session dual wavelength low dose laser therapy to be applied after third molar tooth extraction on postoperative pain, edema and physical activities. Materials and Methods: Thirty-six patients who applied for the extraction of a Class III and position B lower impacted wisdom tooth were included in the study. The patients were divided into 2 groups as laser and control group. Envelope selection method was used for randomization of patients. After the surgery, a single session of double wavelength low-dose laser therapy was applied to the patients. On the 2nd and 7th postoperative days, pain was measured with the VAS scale, edema was measured by face measurements of 3 different points, and quality of life was measured with the modified Posse scale.
The study aimed to investigate the effect of stretching the sternocleidomastoid, pectoralis major and iliopsoas muscles on 800 meters freestyle swimming performance in master swimmers.
Objective: In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of TENS applied in the early postpartum period after cesarean section on incision healing, pain and comfort. Methods: This study was designed as randomized, single-blind, placebo-controlled. All participants signed an informed consent statement before starting the study. The study sample of 138 (TENS group n=46, placebo group n=46, control group n=46). TENS application, postpartum 10-12. at hours and 14-16. It was applied twice for 30 minutes each. Researcher 1 programmed the TENS unit and was the only researcher who knew whether TENS was active or in placebo mode. The pretest data were applied to the participants who met the inclusion criteria and volunteered to participate in the study, in the patient rooms 10 hours after the cesarean section. Post-test data were obtained by the same investigator 16 hours after cesarean section. Data were obtained with Personal Information Form, Postoperative Recovery Index (PoRI), REEDA Scale, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), and Postpartum Comfort Scale (PPCQ).
It is aimed to prevent the development of oral mucositis or to reduce the severity of developing oral mucositis with the training to be given to patients receiving chemotherapy according to the Neuman systems model.
The effect of physical therapy and rehabilitation on improving the gait and balance disorders of patients has been proven. FTR applications in MS patients have become routine in developed countries. However, due to the high patient density in our country, FTR cannot be performed at the rate we want due to different reasons such as the inability to separate areas special for MS patients, the lack of special FTR applications for MS patients, and the inability to perform regular FTR follow-ups. Even if FTR is recommended and performed, our patients think that FTR is not very effective due to the above reasons and they do not continue. A team of neurology, physical therapy specialists, and physiotherapists was formed, in-service training was completed and a special rehabilitation program for MS patients was created. First of all, we will apply routine classical FTR to our patients. Sensory and deep sensory disorders, which are more common and severe, especially in the lower extremities, also negatively affect gait and balance. A rehabilitation program was created by adding exercises to improve sensation and deep sense, along with muscle strengthening. The results of the 1st and 21st sessions of the patients in the two groups who underwent classical rehabilitation and deep sensory-assisted rehabilitation will be compared. It was planned to evaluate the gait and balance parameters of the patients as numerical data with clinical scales and the C mill device we used in walking and balance exercises.
