Start date: April 10, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this observational study is to asses the natural course of blood homocysteine levels in patients who underwent primary total joint arthroplasty surgery. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: - İs homocysteine a good marker for determining periprosthetic joint infection ? - İs homocysteine more sensitive marker for periprosthetic joint infections ?

NCT ID: NCT05990283 Completed - Clinical trials for Immediate Implant Placement

Socket Shield Technique and Guided Bone Regeneration

Start date: November 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Among the individuals who applied to the Department of Periodontology, Faculty of Dentistry, Health Sciences University between 2019 and 2021, patients with an unrestorable tooth in the maxillary esthetic region and required implant placement were included in this randomized clinical trial. Before implant surgery, patients were randomized into socket shield technique and guided bone regeneration groups. While the buccal gap was untreated in the socket shield group, a xenograft, and membrane were applied in the regeneration group. Peri-implant pocket depth, modified plaque index, modified bleeding index, keratinized mucosa width, and mucosal thickness were recorded at the permanent restoration and the postoperative first year. Horizontal bone level and vertical bone level were assessed with cone beam computed tomography images taken before the surgery and one year after prosthesis insertion. The pink esthetic score was evaluated with intraoral photographs taken before the surgical procedure and first-year follow-up.

NCT ID: NCT05990114 Enrolling by invitation - Alzheimer Disease Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the Structured Caregiver Support Program (SCSP) in Terms of Various Parameters

SCSP
Start date: September 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this clinical study is to examine the effect of an intervention program developed for informal caregivers of Alzheimer's patients on caregivers' burden of care, psychological well-being and psychological resilience. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. What is the effect of the Structured Caregiver Support Program (SCSP) on caregivers burden? 2. What is the effect of the SCSP on psychological well-being? 3. What is the effect of the SCSP on psychological resilience? Participants (intervention group) will attend at least 6 sessions of an 8-session SCSP. Researchers will compare with the control group to see if the training provided is effective.

NCT ID: NCT05989334 Completed - Clinical trials for in the Writing Process

Epidemiological Data of Patients Consulted to Kayseri City Hospital Physical Therapy Clinic in the 2023 Kahramanmaraş Earthquake

Start date: February 6, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The quality of life of people after the earthquake is significantly affected. In particular, adequate and correct management of the damage caused by trauma on the human body is very important to reduce disability. Epidemiological information about the injury pattern from past earthquakes is crucial for preparedness and effective response to potential earthquakes in regions where resources are scarce. Thanks to the epidemiological data obtained from post-earthquake injury patterns, hospitals can be prepared for possible earthquakes, and disability and mortality can be reduced. Although many earthquake victims suffer injuries that require treatment, there are large gaps in knowledge regarding the epidemiology of earthquakes. It is essential to evaluate the data collected after the earthquake in the planning phase of the health demands of the earthquake area. Epidemiological studies on earthquakes guide the planning and organization of health services for hospitals located in and around the earthquake area. By knowing the injury patterns that will occur after the earthquake, the effectiveness of the early and specific treatments to be applied to the earthquake victims can be increased significantly. In this way, complications, disability and mortality rates that may occur in future natural disasters can be reduced. The aim of this study is to record the injury patterns and treatments of the patients who were consulted to the physical therapy and rehabilitation clinic after the 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquake in our country, which is an earthquake zone, and to ensure that the physical therapy physicians meet the possible earthquakes in a more knowledgeable, experienced and prepared manner.

NCT ID: NCT05989087 Completed - Clinical trials for Alzheimer Disease, Early Onset

The Resting-state EEG Gamma Oscillations in Alzheimer's Disease

EEG
Start date: November 7, 2012
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The literature suggests a strong association between amyloid accumulation and gamma alterations, emerging gamma activity as a biomarker candidate for Alzheimer's pathology. The present study aims to investigate resting-state gamma activity changes in Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)-proven early-onset Alzheimer's disease (EOAD) patients with a holistic approach that employs structural and functional brain neuroimaging techniques, and neuropsychological aspects.

NCT ID: NCT05988944 Completed - Cerebral Palsy Clinical Trials

The Hand Functions In Cerebral Palsy

Start date: October 13, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The hand motor functions are very important in the daily life activities, educational, and social participation of children. Losing The hand motor functions limit these activities and participation.
