Study of Bepirovirsen in Nucleos(t)Ide Analogue-treated Participants With Chronic Hepatitis B (B-Well 2)

This study is intended to confirm the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetic (PK) profile, and the durability of hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg) suppression observed with bepirovirsen for 24 weeks (with loading doses) as compared to the placebo arm. This study will have 4 stages: a) Double-blind treatment (bepirovirsen or placebo) for 24 weeks. b) Nucleos(t)ide analogue (NA) treatment for 24 weeks. c) NA cessation stage OR Continue NA for 24 weeks. d) Durability of response and follow up for further 24 weeks for participants who stopped NA treatment at Week 48. The arms will be stratified based on HBsAg level (HBsAg greater than or equal to [≥] 100 international unit per milliliter [IU/mL] to less than or equal [≤]1000 IU/mL or greater than [>] 1000 IU/mL to ≤3000 IU/mL) at screening. The total duration of the study, including screening (up to 60 days), the double-blind treatment stage (24 weeks), the On NA only stage (24 weeks), and the NA cessation and durability stages (48 weeks) is up to approximately 104 weeks at maximum for each participant.

The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether bemnifosbuvir (BEM) is effective and safe in adults with COVID-19 who do not need to be in the hospital but who are at high risk for progression to severe disease. Eligible subjects will be randomly assigned (by chance) to receive BEM or matching placebo orally for 5 days. Co-administration of locally available standard of care (SOC) is allowed. The total duration of the study is 60 days.

Effects of PNF and Static Stretching on Architecture and Viscoelastic Properties of Hemiplegic Elbow

The patients who were diagnosed with stroke in governmental/university/private hospitals, and who needed rehabilitation because of the increased flexor tone in the elbow joint, decreased range of motion and/or decreased function of the upper extremity will be invited to the study in accordance with the criteria that are given in inclusion and exclusion part. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two parallel groups, either the PNF Stretching Group (n=17) or the Prolonged Stretching Group (n=17), according to the order of participation in the study by simple randomization. An online computer program will be used to assign participants (https://www.randomizer.org/). Exercises that will increase proximal stabilization and control will be applied to both groups for 4 weeks, 5 days a week. In addition to the exercises, prolonged stretches for 10 minutes will be applied to the Prolonged Stretching Group, and PNF stretching will be applied to the PNF Stretching Group. At the beginning and the end of the study, muscle architecture, muscular viscoelastic properties, range of motion, proprioception, upper extremity motor performance and function and posture will be evaluated.

The Effect of Mirror Therapy With Virtual Reality Application on Motor-Sense Acquisition and Quality of Live in Home Care of Stroke Patients

: Aim: Stroke is increasing day by day in our country as in the world. Early rehabilitation after stroke accelerates motor-sensory gains of individuals. This also increases the quality of life. Although there are studies on post-stroke rehabilitation in our country, rehabilitation applications with virtual reality application are very limited. For this reason, the research was carried out to determine the effect of home therapy with virtual reality application on motor-sensory gains and quality of life after stroke. Material and method: The research was conducted as a randomized controlled experimental study. The universe of the research; Between December 2021 and May 2022, individuals who met the criteria for inclusion in the study who applied for home care to Erzurum Atatürk University Health Application and Research Center Physical Therapy Unit with the diagnosis of loss of movement in the upper extremity after stroke were formed. The sample size for the research was determined by power analysis. In the power analysis, it was determined that a total of 52 people should be reached in order to reach the 95% confidence level at the 0.05 significance level and 80% power at the p<0.05 significance level. Considering that there may be data losses in the study, it was decided to reach 60 people, 15% more than the sample. "Descriptive Feature Form", "Brunnstrom Staging" and "SF-36 Quality of Life Scale" were used to collect data.In the analysis of data; percentile distribution, chi-square, Fisher-Freeman- Halton Exact test, t-test in independent groups, Repeated Measures ANOVA Test, Friedman Test, One Way ANOVA test, Kruskall Wallis test, and post hoc analyzes (Bonferroni, Games Howell, Dunn) were used.

Medication overuse headache is the chronicity of headaches, which occurs more than 15 days a month, as a result of frequent use of painkillers, opioids or migraine attack drugs (ergotamine, triptan) in individuals with pre-existing primary headache disease. In the treatment of this headache, two ways can be followed as slow drug discontinuation or sudden drug discontinuation. The most commonly used method is the sudden discontinuation of the overused analgesic agent, the initiation of prophylactic treatment, and then the application of bridge therapy for 6-10 days. Intravenous hydration, steroids, antiemetics, neuroleptic drugs and local anesthetic drugs such as lidocaine can be used in bridge treatment.

A Study to Evaluate Adverse Events and Change in Disease Activity Comparing Oral Upadacitinib to Subcutaneous Dupilumab in Adolescent and Adult Participants With Moderate to Severe Atopic Dermatitis

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a skin condition that may cause a rash and itching due to inflammation of the skin. Therapies spread over the skin may not be enough to control the AD in trial participants who require systemic anti-inflammatory treatment. This study compares upadacitinib to dupilumab in adolescent and adult participants with moderate to severe AD who have inadequate response to systemic therapies. Adverse events and change in the disease activity will be assessed. Upadacitinib and dupilumab are approved drugs for the treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (AD). The study is comprised of a 35-day Screening Period, a 16-week treatment period 1 and a 16-week treatment period 2. During period 1, participants are randomly assigned in 1 of 2 groups, called treatment arms to receive upadacitinib Dose A or dupilumab. In Period 2, participants will receive upadacitinib Dose A or Dose B. Approximately 880 adolescent and adult participants ages 12 to 64 with moderate to severe AD who are candidates for systemic therapy will be enrolled at up to 330 sites worldwide. Participants will receive upadacitinib oral tablets once daily or dupilumab as per its label for 32 weeks and followed for 30 days. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care . Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
