There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This randomized controlled single-blind trial will include 60 pediatric migraine patients. Participants will be divided into two groups: one performing aerobic exercise, and the other conducting neck exercises. Assessments include attack frequency, severity, duration, and neck pain over three months.
The purpose of this clinical study is to compare the effect of video-assisted training on the quality of life and symptom management of patients over the age of 65. The main questions it aims to answer are: -Is there a difference between symptom management and quality of life between the first and last follow-up periods of patients in the application and control groups?
Calcaneal spur (heel spur) is one of the most common disorders associated with foot pain. Patients may complain of pain at every step during the day, so it is important to find the most effective treatment method for patients. The aim of this study is to compare the therapeutic efficacy of extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) and kinesiology taping (KB) in patients with calcaneal spurs. Thirty patients with calcaneal spurs will be included in the study. The gender, age, body weight, height, body mass index, and affected side of the patients will be recorded. Patients will be randomly divided into three treatment groups: ESWT to the first group, KB therapy to the second group, and combined ESWT+KB to the third group. Each group will be treated for five sessions, once a week for five weeks. ESWT 15Hz frequency will be applied as 2.5 Barr energy and 2000 Shock/session. It will be applied with the KB I and fan method and the tape will not be removed for three days after the application. In the pre- and post-treatment evaluations of the patients, heel sensitivity and sensory perception will be evaluated with the Foot structure Foot Posture Index (API). Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Quality of Life Short Form-36 (SF-36), Foot Function Index (AFI) and Windlass Test will be used.
In this study, the postoperative clinical and microbiologic effects of chlorhexidine toothpaste and chlorhexidine-free toothpaste with the same content were compared after bilateral mandibular impacted third molar surgery. Similarly positioned fully impacted impacted lower third molars were extracted. Bilateral impacted wisdom teeth of the patients were randomly selected. After the operation, the experimental group received Dentasave 0.2% chlorhexidine toothpaste containing chlorhexidine and the control group received toothpaste with the same content but without chlorhexidine. Teeth were extracted by the same dentist at 14-day intervals. For microbiological analysis, saliva samples were taken before the first tooth extraction, before the second tooth extraction 14 days later and on the 28th day and sent to the microbiology laboratory. Wound healing, edema and trismus in both extractions were evaluated 1 week after tooth extraction. Wound healing was evaluated as good, acceptable and poor. VAS (Visual Analog Scale) was used for pain assessment and recorded 14 days after tooth extraction.
Since the ultimate target of resuscitation is the microcirculation, normal microcirculatory perfusion appears to be the primary target of ideal resuscitation in septic shock patients. In septic shock patients, microcirculation of the skin may be impaired in the early period due to early sympathetic nervous system activation. Assessment of skin perfusion has also become popular in shock resuscitation because it is easily accessible for clinical assessment. Studies in septic shock patients, showed that capillary refill time correlated with lactate levels measured at 6 hours of resuscitation and was associated with mortality. Additionally, early normalization of capillary refill time has been associated with improved survival in septic shock This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between the change in capillary filling time (microcirculation) and organ perfusion after fluid resuscitation in sepsis patients in intensive care.
The aim of this observational study is to investigate the effects of the type, area and duration of ulceration on jaw pain, mandibular function limitation, TMD and swallowing in individuals with diabetic foot ulcers. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Does the change in foot structure due to diabetic foot ulcer have an effect on the temporomandibular jointand swalloving? - What are the determinants of tempomandibular dysfunction in individuals with diabetic foot ulcers? Participants (both groups) will be evaluated for quality of life, jaw functionality, mandibular dysfunction, oropharyngeal swallowing disorder, pain and diabetes complications.
The aim of this study is to determine the effect of massage ball application on arterial blood pressure, fatigue and anxiety in pregnant women diagnosed with preeclampsia.
The IPACK (interspace between the popliteal artery and capsule of the posterior knee) block is a regional anesthesia technique in which a local anesthetic is infiltrated under ultrasound guidance between the popliteal artery and the capsule of the posterior knee. This technique blocks the branches of the obturator nerve, the common peroneal nerve, and the tibial nerve in the popliteal region. In the context of knee arthroplasty, the application of the IPACK block has been associated with lower scores for ambulatory pain, lower scores for resting pain, and reduced morphine consumption . The genicular nerves, including the superomedial, inferomedial, superolateral, inferolateral genicular nerves, and the infrapatellar branch of the saphenous nerve, comprise the five main innervation branches of the knee. Clinically, they play an important role in the anterior sensory innervation of the knee. In the study, the investigators aimed to prospectively, double-blind, and randomly compare the postoperative analgesic efficacy of combined IPACK block and genicular block with the sole application of IPACK block in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The investigators hypothesized that in blocks performed with equal volumes, there might be a spread of the local anesthetic solution from the IPACK block area to the genicular block area, and the investigators investigated this hypothesis.
The effect of mindfulness breath awareness meditation on health profile, vital signs, and fetal heart rate in pregnant women with preeclampsia
The study will look at how well CagriSema helps people lower their blood sugar and body weight. CagriSema is a new weekly medicine that combines two medicines called semaglutide and cagrilintide. CagriSema will be compared to the two medicines semaglutide and cagrilintide, when they are taken alone. CagriSema will also be compared to a "dummy" medicine without any active ingredient. The study will be done in participants who have type 2 diabetes. Participants will take the study medicine together with the current diabetes medicine (metformin with or without an SGLT2 inhibitor).
