There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Menopause; cessation of menstruation due to cessation of follicular activity is the transition from the reproductive period to non-reproductive life. Considering that the average life expectancy is increasing, women spend most of their lives in the menopausal period. Women who have a positive attitude towards menopause have a positive body image, experience less depressive experiences, and the severity of menopause symptoms decreases. It has also been assumed that spiritual well-being is effective in reducing the severity of menopause symptoms and anxiety, supporting positive body image, and coping with losses. Baduanjin exercise is a type of body mind exercise. It increases the production of life energy and distributes it to different aspects of the body. It is thought that the baduanjin body-mind exercise to be applied to perimenopausal women will have positive effects on the spiritual well-being of menopausal women and their attitudes towards menopause. Thus, it is expected that women's transition and adaptation to the menopause process will be easier.
Nursing students experience different levels of stress due to many reasons such as lifestyle, health, academic performance, competition, choice of profession, new living environment, relationships with peer group and expectations of parents. It is important to develop different coping behaviours/strategies to manage stressful situations. Laughter yoga has proven positive effects on physical and mental health. The aim of this randomised controlled trial was to examine the effects of laughter yoga on well-being, perceived stress and academic self-efficacy of nursing students.
Periodontal diseases are one of the most common inflammatory diseases. Periodontitis results from products and antigens of microorganisms, which stimulates the innate immune system and local inflammatory response; characterized by gingival inflammation, attachment loss, and alveolar bone destruction. Molecules that play a role in the pathogenesis of periodontal disease can be used as biomarkers in the early diagnosis of periodontitis, in determining the rate of periodontal destruction, and in evaluating the response to periodontal treatment. CTRPs (C1q/TNF-related proteins), which are adiponectin paralogs, are involved in inflammation, lipid, and glucose metabolism, as well as physiological and pathological processes like vasodilation. CTRP-1 is a glycoprotein belonging to the CTRP family that can be detected in serum in the presence of certain antibodies. Serum CTRP-1 levels increase in type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, coronary artery diseases, congestive heart failure, and atherosclerosis. Lipopolysaccharides found in Gram-negative bacteria cell walls stimulate the production of inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-1 β, as well as indirectly increasing the production of CTRP-1. CTRP-1 is a therapeutic target in many inflammatory diseases, including periodontal diseases. However, there are no clinical studies on the role of CTRP-1 in the pathogenesis of periodontal disease. Based on these findings, the goal of our research is to examine the effects of periodontal disease on CTRP-1, IL-10, and TNF-α levels in serum and gingival crevicular fluid samples taken before and after periodontal treatment from periodontally healthy individuals and individuals with gingivitis and periodontitis, and also determine whether CTRP-1 is a potential biomarker that can be used in the diagnosis of periodontal disease. 25 patients with periodontitis, 25 with gingivitis and 25 healthy periodontals (total of 75 individuals) will be included in our study. At the beginning of the study, periodontal clinical measurements (gingival index, plaque index, probing depth, gingival recession, clinical attachment level, and bleeding on probing), serum and gingival crevicular fluid samples will be taken from all individuals. Non-surgical periodontal treatment will be applied in quadrant wise within 2 weeks to individuals with gingivitis and periodontitis. 12 weeks after treatment; the clinical measurements and the collection of serum and gingival crevicular fluid will be repeated. Biomarkers in serum and gingival crevicular fluid samples will be examined by ELISA.
The main purpose of our research is; The aim of this study is to investigate the views of health professionals in the field of Orthotic Prosthesis in Turkey on Evidence-Based Orthotic Prosthesis Practices. This research is important in revealing the perspective of health professionals in this field on evidence-based orthotic prosthesis applications. No such study has been found in the literature in the field of Orthosis and Prosthesis. In this respect, it aims to bring a new perspective to the literature.
No studies in the literature have investigated the simultaneous effects of cognitive function, exercise capacity and arterial stiffness in adult patients with CF. The study aims to compare the cognitive function, exercise capacity, exercise muscle oxygenation, and arterial stiffness of adult patients with CF and healthy subjects.
It is to determine the effectiveness of pulmonary rehabilitation by telerehabilitation method in bronchiectasis patients. The cases meeting the inclusion criteria will be randomized and divided into two groups, the groups will be named as Telerehabilitation Exercise Group (TRGr) and Control Group (CGr).
Aim of the Thesis and Hypotheses: (The aim of the thesis and hypotheses should be stated in detail.) In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of the education given to the patients before cardiac surgery on the environmental stressors perceived by the patients in the intensive care unit. H1: The education given before heart surgery has an effect on the environmental stressors perceived by patients in the intensive care unit. H2: The education given before cardiac surgery has no effect on the environmental stressors perceived by patients in the intensive care unit.
Our study aimed to compare the manual placement, direct laryngoscopy and video laryngoscopy assisted placement techniques of LMA Proseal, a new generation laryngeal mask (LMA), and to find an effective placement technique that does not allow airway leakage in one go.
Earthquake is a process that affects the lives of many people. It is very important to evaluate the psychological state of individuals after the earthquake and take appropriate action. When studies conducted after the earthquake were examined, no study was found that evaluated the effect of cognitive behavioral therapy on ruminative thoughts and cognitive distortions in individuals exposed to earthquakes. For this reason, this thesis was conducted to evaluate the effect of cognitive behavioral therapy on ruminative thoughts and cognitive distortions in individuals exposed to earthquakes.
The current study aims to reduce the intolerance of uncertainty levels with an internet-based cognitive bias modification intervention in young adults with high levels of intolerance to uncertainty aged between 18 and 40. Furthermore, it aims to examine the intervention's effectiveness on their intolerance to uncertainty, positive and negative emotions, depression and anxiety symptoms, and repetitive thinking.
