Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neuroinflammatory disease of the central nervous system that is common in young ages and women. Plaques formed in MS can develop at any point in the brain and spinal cord, causing various symptoms and adversely affecting the patient's quality of life. Although not counted among the affected neurological systems, one of the most important symptoms experienced by MS patients is sexual dysfunction. Sexual dysfunction in MS may occur due to symptoms of MS such as spasticity, fatigue, and bladder problems, due to the presence of lesions affecting the neural pathways. The most common method used in the treatment of sexual dysfunction in women with MS is sexual counseling. The PLISSIT model is one of the most frequently used models by health professionals in sexual counseling and evaluation. PLISSIT stands for Permission, limited Information, Specific Suggestion and Intensive Therapy. In this randomized controlled study, the long-term effect of sexual counseling given to female MS patients with the PLISSIT model on sexual function and sexual quality of life will be evaluated. The study is planned to be carried out between July 2023 and December 2024 in the MS and Demyenizing Diseases Unit of Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty Hospital, Department of Neurology. The sample size was calculated as 86, 43 in the sexual counseling group and 43 in the control group, in the G*Power (v3.1.9.7) program using the power analysis method. The data of the study will be collected with the "Descriptive Information Form", "Multiple Sclerosis Intimacy and Sexuality Questionnaire-15", "Sexual Quality of Life Questionnaire for Women", "Patient Health Questionnaire-4" and "Fatigue Severity Scale" developed by the researchers. The data will be analyzed in SPPS 28 package program. Number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, median and minimum-maximum values will be given in descriptive statistics. The t-test for independent samples/Mann-Whitney U test will be used to compare the mean score of the dependent variables of the two groups. Paired groups t-test/Wilcoxon test will be used in the comparison of each group within the group. As a result of the research, it is possible to develop an alternative solution approach to the treatment of sexual problems of women with MS by comprehensively evaluating women with MS with sexual problems in line with the PLISSIT model, suggesting solutions, examining the long-term effectiveness of sexual counseling and evaluating the results with concrete, valid and reliable tools. will be provided.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an increase in the frequency of demodicosis and the density of Demodex mites after 20 sessions of phototherapy. The main question(s)it aims to answer are; - Are Demodex mites higher in patients treated with phototherapy? - In which localization and with what intensity was demodicosis most common? Participants will be assessed using standardized skin surface biopsy technique in four localization on their face. Researchers will compare demodex intensity per cm² to see if the phototherapy effects demodex intensity on patients.

Students were divided into three groups as experimental (d1= High Reality simulator), (d2= Medium Reality simulator) group and control group (d3= slide and video presentation). The study is carried out with 96 students in total. The students who met the inclusion criteria were given a sequence number and then randomly divided into 3 groups using the https://www.randomizer.org online randomization program. Data collection tools: In data collection; Introductory Information Form (IIF), Normal Birth Skills Assessment Form (NBSAF), Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence Scale in Learning (SSSCSL) and Evaluation of Simulation-Based Learning Scale (ESSBL) will be used.
The Timed Up and Go Test is a measurement tool that allows the participant to use assistive devices and walking aids during the test that evaluates functional mobility. This study was conducted to determine the effect of using walking aids on the Timed Up and Go test and it's correlation with balance in stroke patients.
Patients aged between 18-65 who visit the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation outpatient clinic diagnosed with Bell Palsy will be included in the study. The patients' Bell Palsy grade will be evaluated by Houseman Brahman (HB) Scale and their disability level will be evaluated by Facial Disability Index (FDI). Their serum vitamin D level will be noted. The patients having vitamin D deficiency will be randomized into two groups. Group 1 will be given 50.000 IU/week vitamin D replacement for 8 weeks. All the patients will be included in a standard physical therapy and home exercise program. Both groups will be asked for a control visit at weeks 8.Their clinical recovery will be evaluated by HB staging and FDI by the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist who is blind to the randomization.
This study was designed as a prospective randomized controlled study in order to evaluate the effect of end-of-life care awareness training to be given to intensive care nurses on the knowledge levels, attitudes, and behaviors of nurses. The study was conducted between May and July 2023 with 76 nurses working in the Anesthesia and Reanimation Intensive Care Unit, General Intensive Care Unit, and Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit of Van Training and Research Hospital, who met the inclusion criteria. The hypotheses of this research: H1: End-of-life care awareness training increases the knowledge level of intensive care nurses about end-of-life care. H2: End-of-life care awareness training positively affects intensive care nurses' attitudes toward end-of-life care. H3: End-of-life care awareness training positively affects the behaviors of intensive care nurses towards end-of-life care. Nurses who completed their undergraduate education worked in intensive care for at least one year, actively continued their profession (no annual leave, report, etc.), and were willing and voluntary to participate in the study were included in the study. Nurses who had a palliative care nursing certificate, had received training on end-of-life care by participating in a training program such as ELNEC, and had not participated in the training program of the study for more than two sessions were not included in the study. At the beginning of the research, the pre-test forms/scales "Nurse Information Form", "End-of-Life Care Knowledge Test" and "Intensive Care Nurses' Attitudes and Behaviors Towards End-of-Life Care Scale" were administered to all nurses. After the pre-test application, the nurses were randomly included in the training and control groups. A randomization list generated by a computer-based random number sequence was used to determine which group the intensive care nurses would be in. - The "End-of-Life Care Education Program in Intensive Care" prepared by the researchers in line with the End-of-Life Nursing Education-Intensive Care program was applied to the intensive care nurses in the training group. The training program was implemented online for 45-60 minutes one day a week for 4 weeks. The same forms/scales were repeated 4 weeks after the training. - Intensive care nurses in the control group did not receive any intervention during the study. Similar to the training group, the same forms/scales were repeated 4 weeks after the training. After the study is completed, the same training program will be applied to the nurses in the control group.

Bariatric surgery maintains its place in the literature as the most effective treatment method for obesity. In order for the surgery to be effective, it is important for individuals to adapt to the surgical process. This process has become more manageable with lifestyle changes and health education. Mindfulness practices are (useful forms of intervention) for practicing and restructuring the brain for healthier eating habits. The results of mindfulness studies show that mindful eating practices can be effective in the prevention and treatment of obesity. Studies on mindfulness in obesity are increasing rapidly in the literature; however, few studies have tested this approach in bariatric surgery patients. This research was planned in an action research design to examine the effect of mindfulness-based education program on individuals' mindful eating in bariatric surgery patients. As an action in the research, an mindfullness-based training program will be developed for the bariatric patient group. Then, in the preoperative period, a four-week, weekly session of mindfulness-based exercise and eating training will be given to the action group as an intervention. Mindful Eating Questionnaire will be applied to all participants (action and control group) before the training, and data will be collected from the action group with the vignette technique. A short cut story will be prepared, and the participants will be asked to complete the short story in written form. At the end of the training sessions, a focus group discussion will be held with the participants. An in-depth interview will be conducted with each participant in line with the semi-structured interview form in the third and sixth months after the surgery. The Mindful Eating Questionnaire will be readministered to both the action group and the control group. During and after the training, participants will be asked to write down any changes they notice in their diaries. In the research, quantitative data will be evaluated with descriptive statistical tests, and qualitative data will be evaluated with content analysis, descriptive and thematic analysis. As a result of the research, it is aimed to improve the mindful eating of the participants. It is anticipated that the research will increase the mindfulness level of the participants in their lives and contribute to future research.
