There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Obstetric brachial plexus palsy (OBPP) is the paralysis of the ipsilateral upper extremity after a brachial plexus injury that occurs during labor. Imagery is to rehearse sensorial experiences in the mind such as auditory, visual, tactile, olfactory, gustatory or kinesthetic sensation. Imagery is used as a new technique in rehabilitation recently. Various studies have reported the importance of imagery and using imagery as a rehabilitation technique in different neurologic and orthopedic conditions. This study aimed to evaluate imagery ability in children with OBPP.
Uterin fibroids are the most common operation indication for hysterectomy. Dyring laparoscopic hysterectomy the amount of bleeding is a great difficulty. There are a lot of clinical researchs to reduce the haemorrhage during open hysterectomy but not laparoscopic procedure. In ALKU ERH clinic, researchers decided to smaller the size of fibroid by using GnRH analogues before total laparoscopic hysterectomy to reduce the haemorrhage amount.
Gastrocnemius spasticity is one of the main complaints in Multiple Sclerosis patients.Local muscle vibration is a method used for spasticity inhibition. However, when the studies in the literature are examined; It is noted that local vibration applications for spasticity are usually single sessions and evaluate the acute effect, do not produce functional outputs, there is no consensus on frequency and amplitude and the changes in muscle architecture are not examined. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of local vibration applied on spastic gastrocnemius on muscle architectural and functional properties in Multiple Sclerosis patients in addition to the standard physiotherapy program. The study was planned to include 3 groups, 2 treatment and 1 control group. The control group will receive standard physiotherapy, one of the treatment groups will receive 50 Hz local vibration in addition to standard physiotherapy, and other treatment group will receive 100 Hz local vibration in addition to standard physiotherapy. Disease severity, gastrocnemius spasticity, architectural and viscoelastic properties of muscle, ankle proprioception, balance and gait skills will be evaluated before and after 8 weeks treatment program. As a result; effectiveness of local vibration in addition to standard physiotherapy program and whether there is a difference between applications at different frequencies will be examined.
The university environment presents a valuable opportunity to reach the young population of society, which has a high risk of depression, and to provide protective mental-health services. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy-based group counseling focused on the depressive symptoms, anxiety levels, automatic thoughts, and coping ways among undergraduate nursing students with mild to moderate depressive symptoms.
This research is planned as a randomised double-blind controlled trial. interventions to reduce haemorrhage during laparoscopic myomectomy for fiboids is important. İntraoperative Tranexamic acid usage can reduce haemorrhage and related symptoms when given during laparoscopic myomectomy. There is no randomised controlled trials in literature about tranexamic acid usage in laparoscopic gynecological operations.
With increasing life expectancy, cardiac surgical procedures are increasingly being performed in older adults. The biological syndrome of frailty is an aging-associated state with diminished physiological reserve and resistance to stressors, such as major surgery. In the European System for Cardiac Operative risk Evaluation (EuroSCORE II) and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) risk scoring systems, patient comorbidities including advanced age and poor mobility are considered as risk factors for operative mortality. However, an objective assessment of frailty is not included. Traditionally, frailty assessment before cardiac surgery is primarily performed based on surgeon's subjective perception of patient's general appearance. Objective measurement of frailty is increasingly being applied as a routine part of preoperative evaluation of elderly patients undergoing cardiac surgery. The most widely used frailty assessment tool is the Fried scale. The investigators aim to investigate whether Fried scale would predict operative mortality and morbidity in elderly patients undergoing elective cardiac surgery.
WE DECIDED TO COMPARE TWO DIFFERENT ELECTROSURGERY DEVİCES TO PROVIDE COLPOTOMY. ONE OF THEM İS MONOPOLAR HOOC, THE OTHER DEVİCE İS PLASMAKİNETİC BİPOLAR SPATULA. WE WİLL RANDOMİSE PATİENTS FİRSTLY THEN COMPARE THE RESULTS SUCH, VAGİNAL DEHİSSENS, COLPOTOMY DURATİON, AMOUNT OF MIST DURING COLPOTOMY, AMOUNT OF BLEEDİNG.
This study will evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of inavolisib in combination with palbociclib and fulvestrant compared with placebo plus palbociclib and fulvestrant in participants with PIK3CA-mutant, hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer whose disease progressed during treatment or within 12 months of completing adjuvant endocrine therapy and who have not received prior systemic therapy for metastatic disease.
Intubated preterm infants between 800-1200 grams and under 32 weeks of gestational age will start with PRVC ventilation mode, basal blood gases and work of breathing will measured. After that mode will shift to Bilevel Volume Guarantee mode for two hours than clinical and other parameters will be checked again. After this intervention, patients will allocated to PRVC or Bilevel VG group for remaining time.
This study will assess the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab plus enzalutamide plus Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) versus placebo plus enzalutamide plus ADT in participants with mHSPC. The primary hypothesis is that in participants with mHSPC, the combination of pembrolizumab plus enzalutamide plus ADT is superior to placebo plus enzalutamide plus ADT with respect to 1) radiographic progression-free survival (rPFS) per Prostate Cancer Working Group (PCWG)-modified Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) 1.1 as assessed by blinded independent central review (BICR) and 2) overall survival (OS). As of 19-JAN-2023, the study was unblinded and all study participants stopped ongoing treatment with pembrolizumab/placebo and will continue to receive Standard of Care treatment until meeting protocol-specified discontinuation criteria if deriving clinical benefit. Safety analysis will be performed at the end of the study; there will be no further analyses for efficacy and electronic patient-reported outcome (ePRO) endpoints collected from participants beyond the IA1 cutoff date. All study participants will stop ongoing treatment with pembrolizumab/placebo. Exceptions may be requested for study participants who, in the assessment of their study physician, are benefitting from the combination of enzalutamide and pembrolizumab, after consulting with the Sponsor. All other study participants should be discontinued from study and be offered standard of care (SOC) treatment as deemed necessary by the Investigator. If enzalutamide as SOC is not accessible off study to the participant, central sourcing may continue. As of Amendment 04, disease progression will no longer be centrally verified, participants will only be assessed locally. As of Amendment 4, Second Course treatment is not an option for participants. There are currently no participants in the Second Course Phase.
