Investigation of the Reliability and Validity of the Movement Imagination Questionnaire - Revised Second in Acute Stroke Patients

Our study was planned to investigate the reliability validity of the Movement Imagery Questionnaire- RS in acute stroke patients. For our study, the Turkish version of the Movement Imagery Questionnaire-RS will be established first. Then, the reliability and validity of the questionnaire in acute stroke patients will be examined. The study included 70 stroke patients hospitalized in the Stroke Unit of the Neurology Department of Hacettepe University Hospitals and individuals between 50-75 years of age who do not have any disease in Ankara.

Poststroke depression is seen with a frequency of up to 30%. Drug options for depression and accompanying sleep problems are limited; In addition, effective doses cannot be increased depending on the comorbidities of the patients and the side effect profiles and drug interactions of the drugs used. Acupuncture has been used in Chinese traditional medicine for more than 2000 years and there are findings that it has positive effects in post-stroke depression and anxiety disorders. The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness and reliability of acupuncture treatment in depression and anxiety disorders developing after stroke and to reduce the need for multiple drugs and / or high-dose medication in the treatment of these complications. The hypothesis of the study: Acupuncture is an effective and reliable treatment method for depression and anxiety disorders in stroke patients.

Flatfoot is one of the orthopedic problems with high prevalence, especially in young individuals. In the literature, conservative treatment methods of flat soles are mentioned as exercise, shoe modifications, and orthotic methods. In the study, it is planned to investigate whether individuals with flat-footed virtual reality exercises contribute to conservative treatment. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of virtual reality exercises on individuals with pes planus.

Ectopic Eruption of Permanent First Molars

Ectopic eruption may be defined as the eruption of a permanent tooth that takes place in such a manner that a partial or a total resorption of the root(s) of an adjacent primary tooth occurs and can be noted during routine dental radiographic evaluation. It is a common case in mixed dentition and is usually diagnosed by a pediatric dentist. This retrospective study aimed to determine the prevalence and related factors of the ectopic eruption of permanent first molars(PFM). This retrospective study was performed using the panoramic radiographs of 11,924 child patients aged 6-10 years with at least one ectopically erupted PFM were included. The total prevalence of ectopic eruption, type, age, gender, jaw distribution, and bilateral versus unilateral occurrence were determined. The angulation of PFM, mesialization ratio of PFM, and degree of adjacent primary second molar(PSM) tooth root resorption were also assessed. The chi-square test, ANOVA was used for statistical analysis. A total of 76 ectopic eruptions were detected in the maxilla, 6 in the mandible, and 2 in both the maxilla and the mandible. In terms of the eruption status of cases with ectopic eruption, 27 were self-corrected, 51 remained impacted, and 6 were both. The impaction rate of the right upper PFMs was higher than that of others. No significant relationship was found between eruption status and degree of resorption. As a conclusion, small impaction of the PFM does not mean that the PSM lesion is also small. With substantial displacements, a proportionally diminutive lesion can exist, and vice versa.

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the gold standard treatment method in symptomatic gallstone disease. However, complications that develop due to being a technical procedure tend to be more complex and more morbid-estimating how difficult the surgery will be before the operation will enable us to be more prepared both in terms of patient counseling and surgical team selection. Such a prediction will minimize the risk of complications and morbidity. In our study, investigators used the scoring system "How to predict difficult laparoscopic cholecystectomy? Proposal for a simple preoperative scoring system?" which was published in "The American Journal of Surgery" in November 2016. Investigators wanted to evaluate prospectively adequate "Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Difficulty Score," which was developed retrospectively, in determining the surgical difficulty preoperatively.

The study will comprise a prospective time and motion evaluation and a cross-sectional evaluation of patient and caregiver-reported outcomes. The study will evaluate the time associated with the preparation and administration of a single dose of ERT in patients by health care providers as well as the impact on Fabry patients and caregivers time and costs associated with an ERT treatment. The study will also evaluate the patients' quality of life wellbeing, fatigue and work productivity.
