There are about 3709 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Thailand. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The ICGG Gaucher Registry is an ongoing, international multi-center, strictly observational program that tracks the routine clinical outcomes for patients with Gaucher disease, irrespective of treatment status. No experimental intervention is involved; patients in the Registry undergo clinical assessments and receive care as determined by the patient's treating physician. The objectives of the Registry are: - To enhance understanding of the variability, progression, identification, and natural history of Gaucher disease, with the ultimate goal of better guiding and assessing therapeutic intervention. - To assist the Gaucher medical community with the development of recommendations for monitoring patients, and to provide reports on patient outcomes, to optimize patient care. - To characterize the Gaucher disease population. - To evaluate the long-term effectiveness of imiglucerase and of eliglustat. Gaucher Pregnancy Sub-registry: The primary objective of this Sub-registry is to track pregnancy outcomes, including complications and infant growth, in all women with Gaucher disease during pregnancy, regardless of whether they receive disease-specific therapy. No experimental intervention is given; thus a patient will undergo clinical assessments and receive standard of care treatment as determined by the patient's physician. If a patient consents to this Sub-registry, information about the patient's medical and obstetric history, pregnancy, and birth will be collected, and, if a patient consents to data collection for her infant, data on infant growth through month 36 postpartum will be collected.
Most anti-HIV regimens include a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI); however, some individuals fail on these regimens. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the protease inhibitor (PI) lopinavir/ritonavir (LPV/r) in HIV infected individuals who are failing an anti-HIV regimen that includes an NNRTI.
The purpose of the study is to assess the survival of patients treated with Litx™ versus standard of care therapies in the treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and to demonstrate the safety of Litx™ therapy. Litx™ consists of a light-activated drug, talaporfin sodium (LS11, Light Sciences Oncology, Bellevue, Washington), and a light generating device, composed of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), that is energized by a power controller and percutaneously placed in the target tissue inside the body.
This study will assess the effect of anemia correction with NeoRecormon on cardiac structure and function in patients with early diabetic nephropathy. The anticipated time on study treatment is 1-2 years and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.
Patients with partial seizures currently taking 1-3 antiepileptic medications will have a 50:50 chance to receive Lyrica 300 mg per day or placebo (no active ingredients) added on to their current medications for 3 months. Neither the study doctor nor the patient will know the medication assignment. Vision testing will be performed prior to receiving the study treatment and at the end of the study to see if there are any changes.
An open-label, dose-adjustment, extension study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of eltrombopag for the treatment of subjects with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) who have previously been enrolled in an eltrombopag trial. This study will allow adjustment of the eltrombopag dose to achieve an individualized dose and schedule for each subject. In addition, the ability to reduce the dose of concomitant ITP medications in the presence of eltrombopag, while maintaining platelet counts = 50,000/microL will be investigated.
A second botulism outbreak in Northern Thailand was reported in 2006. 192 people were exposed to raw meat and the gut of deer, 83 suffered from diarrhea. Of these 5 developed respiratory failure, 1 impending respiratory failure. We analysed the clinical findings and electrophysiologic findings in this second episode of large botulism outbreak in northern Thailand.
This study is being conducted to compare the efficacy and safety of pazopanib in combination with lapatinib with that of lapatinib alone in subjects with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer whose tumors overexpress the ErbB2 protein.
Primary objective: To assess clinical efficacy of single bolus anticoagulation with Enoxaparin in chronic hemodialysis Secondary objective: To assess safety and tolerability by the number of spontaneously reported adverse events by patients
This study will provide pre-approval drug access to lapatinib, in combination with capecitabine, to patients whose breast cancer had progressed on other therapies
