Phase IIb Study of IFN-K in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

The safety and immunogenicity of the IFNα-Kinoid (IFN-K) have been evaluated in a phase I clinical study conducted in subjects with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Preliminary results showed acceptable safety profile and patients developped antibodies response. The principal aim of the present study is to confirm the neutralization of the interferon gene signature and the clinical efficacy of IFN-K in subjects with SLE. In addition, the immune responses and the safety elicited by IFN-K will also be evaluated.

Effects of Specific Training for Deep Neck Muscle

Recent studies indicate that the patients with chronic neck pain present decreased activation and weak of neck muscles, especially deep flexor and extensor muscles. Alterations of deep are associated with pain and impairment of neck function in chronic neck pain. Exercise is known to be an important component of treatment programs for patients with neck pain. Recently, many studies have focused on specific training on deep cervical muscles, especially deep cervical flexor and deep cervical extensor muscles.Numerous studies using cranio-cervical flexor exercise as a treatment have revealed reduction on pain, neck disability, changing in activation of deep cervical flexor muscles. Further, the cervical extensor muscles are believed to be equally important for the rehabilitation of patients with neck pain. However, the retention effect of semispinalis cervicis exercise is unknown. Therefore, the semispinalis cervicis exercise still need more evidence to support clinically effects. The current study will be conducted to fill the gap of the previous study in immediately, short, and long term effects of semispinalis cervicis exercise in chronic neck pain.

NOTE: The study data was transferred to zr pharma& following the divestment of Panobinostat to pharma&. Prior to study completion under the sponsorship of Secura Bio, the study was initiated and conducted in part under the sponsorship of Novartis. The purpose of this study is to investigate the safety and efficacy of three different regimens of PAN (20 mg TIW, 20 mg BIW, and 10 mg TIW) in combination with s.c. BTZ and Dex and to provide exposure, safety and efficacy data to identify the optimal regimen of PAN in a randomized, 3-arm parallel design. This study will also assess the impact of administering s.c. BTZ (in combination with PAN and Dex) twice weekly for 4 cycles, and then weekly starting from Cycle 5 until disease progression in patients ≤ 75 years of age. Patients > 75 years of age will receive for the entire treatment period s.c. BTZ weekly (in combination with PAN and Dex) until disease progression. Patients will be treated until disease progression or until they discontinue earlier due to unacceptable toxicity or for other reasons. Patients who discontinued study treatment for reasons other than disease progression will be followed for efficacy every 6 weeks. All patients will be followed for survival until the last patient entering long-term follow-up has completed a 3-year survival follow-up or discontinued earlier.

1. The wound healing time of STSG donor sites which are treated with the novel biocellulose wound dressing containing silk sericin and PHMB should be less or equal to Bactigras®. 2. The wound quality of STSG donor sites which are treated with the novel biocellulose wound dressing containing silk sericin and PHMB should be less or equal to Bactigras®. 3. The amounts of STSG donor site infection which are treated with the novel biocellulose wound dressing containing silk sericin and PHMB should not be more than Bactigras®. 4. The pain level of STSG donor sites which are treated with the novel biocellulose wound dressing containing silk sericin and PHMB should be less or equal to Bactigras®. 5. Adverse events which are occurred from the novel biocellulose wound dressing containing silk sericin and PHMB treatment for STSG donor sites and Bactigras® will be reported, if they occur.
