This is a multicentre, open-label, phase II study of ibrutinib 560 mg in combination with R-ICE for treatment of transplant-eligible relapsed/refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
This study is a multicenter, three-part study. Parts 1 and 2 are randomized, investigator- and participant-blinded, placebo-control, single-ascending dose (SAD) and multiple-ascending dose (MAD) study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of RO7049389 following oral administration in healthy volunteers and chronic HBV infected participants. Part 3 is a non-randomized, non-controlled, open-label part to assess the efficacy and safety of RO7049389 when administered in combination with standard-of-care therapies for up to 48 weeks in nucleos(t)ide (NUC)-suppressed and treatment-naive chronic hepatitis B (CHB) participants.
The purpose of this study is to determine how the body handles LY3185643 and rGlucagon and what effects LY3185643 and rGlucagon have on the body. This study will also help to determine if LY3185643 is safe and well-tolerated. This study will last at least 35 days, not including screening.
This is an open label study to prospectively evaluate the effect of adjunct use of Aripiprazole, as an agent to improve metabolic profile and induce weight loss in patients established on atypical antipsychotics (Olanzapine, Clozapine and Risperidone).
Primary aim: The MOSAIC trial aims to assess the impact of a mandibular advancement device (MAD) on Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI) in Asian patients with Heart Failure with reduced Ejection Fraction (HFrEF) and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The investigators hypothesize that the AHI was 60% lower after 3-month treatment with MAD than with sham MAD. Secondary aims: The investigators also aim to determine i. the interaction between ethnicity (Chinese, Malay, Indians) and the effects of MAD in lowering AHI; ii. the effect of MAD on cardiac remodeling (LVEDVI assessed by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging [CMR]); iii. the characteristic craniofacial skeletal anatomy (using coned beam computed tomography [CT]) associated with OSA in Asian patients with HFrEF; iv. the association between self-reported adherence to MAD and cardiac remodeling; v. the effects of MAD on biomarkers of HF (N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide [NT-proBNP],high sensitivity cardiac troponin T [hs cTnT], high-sensitivity C-reactive protein [hs-CRP], and ST2); Rationale: OSA is associated with incident HF. The investigators will study Asian patients because a body of evidence suggests mechanisms for OSA differ between Asians and Caucasians. While obesity is the major contributing factor in Caucasians, craniofacial skeletal anatomy (short mandible, maxilla, and cranial base and a large mandibular volume) plays an important role in the development of OSA among Asians. Using cone beam CT, it has been shown that Asians have shorter mandibular, maxillary, and cranial base lengths and a greater mandibular volume compared with Caucasians. Using a MAD to adjust maxillary-mandibular juxta-positioning to maintain a patent airway may be an ethnic-specific approach to treat OSA in Asians.
The primary purpose of this study was to assess the noninferiority of ravulizumab compared to eculizumab in adult participants with PNH who had never been treated with a complement inhibitor (treatment-naïve).
The purpose of this study is to examine the efficacy of maintenance chemotherapy for the treatment of metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Participants will be randomized to 3 arms. Arm 1, control group, participants will receive only 4-8 cycles of conventional chemotherapy; arm 2, participants will receive 6 cycles of maintenance chemotherapy after conventional chemotherapy; arm 3, experiment arm, after conventional chemotherapy, participants will receive maintenance chemotherapy until disease progression or intolerable toxicities.
25 patients who are diagnosed with Cytomegalovirus (CMV) anterior segment infection, either uveitis or endotheliitis, will be started on 2% guttae ganciclovir, 1 drop 5 times a day for 6 weeks. Following 6 weeks of continuous application of 2% guttae ganciclovir, patient will be reviewed at the clinic within 3 hours following the last application of topical ganciclovir and clinical features will be documented for activity assessment. An aqueous sample 0.2ml is drawn. 0.1ml will be sent for RT-PCR for CMV viral load and another 0.1ml will be sent for ganciclovir drug level by HPLC method.
This study evaluates a new formulation of LY900014, a drug that lowers blood sugar. It is administered by injection under the skin of the abdomen. The study will be conducted in healthy people to investigate how quickly and how much LY900014 is absorbed and the effect of different doses of LY900014 on blood sugar levels. Side effects and tolerability will be documented. The study will last about 6 to 7 weeks for each participant, including screening and follow up. Screening is required within 28 days prior to entering the study.
