There are about 3491 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Singapore. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Otherwise healthy index patients (IP) are randomized to either baloxavir marboxil or placebo if their influenza symptoms onset was within 48 hours of screening. Their households are enrolled within 24 hours of randomization if at least 1 household contacts (HHC) have not received influenza vaccine within 6 months of screening and if all HHC screen negative for influenza infection. The main endpoints are assessed based on multiple respiratory swabs, obtained from both IP and HHC up to 9 (+/-1) days post IP randomization, and through the assessment of symptoms.
To investigate the effects of two types of oil blends on blood lipid profile, glucose homeostasis, body composition, gut microflora and other markers of cardiometabolic disease risk in Chinese men and women with borderline hyperlipidemia
In this study the investigators will determine whether using high flow oxygen in moderate-to-severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea patients following a major non cardiac surgery is more efficacious than usual care in preventing decrease in oxygen level in blood.
This study has 2 parts. The first part of the study is done. The first part was open to adults with different types of advanced cancer (solid tumors). The second part is open to people with specific types of soft tissue sarcoma, advanced lung cancer, and cancer in the stomach, bladder or bile ducts. The participants get a combination of 2 medicines called brigimadlin (also called BI 907828) and ezabenlimab (also called BI 754091). Brigimadlin is a so-called MDM2 inhibitor that is being developed to treat cancer. Ezabenlimab is an antibody that may help the immune system fight cancer (immune checkpoint inhibitor). When the study started, some participants got a third medicine called BI 754111 in addition. Treatment with BI 754111 was stopped because data from another study showed no additional effect of BI 754111. The purpose of the first part of the study was to find out the highest dose of brigimadlin that the participants could tolerate in combination with ezabenlimab. This dose is used in the second part of the study. The purpose of the second part is to see whether the combination of brigimadlin with ezabenlimab is able to make tumors shrink. The participants are in the study as long as they benefit from treatment and can tolerate it. Ezabenlimab treatment is limited to 2 years. During this time, they get infusions of ezabenlimab, and take tablets with brigimadlin every 3 weeks. The doctors check how many participants have health problems during the study. The doctors also monitor the size of the tumor.
Chronic Lung Disease (CLD) of Prematurity is a common yet challenging co-morbidity affecting extremely premature newborns. Multifactorial influences leading to this co-morbidity is known and targeted in various research studies. Gastroesophageal reflux (GER) is common among the same cohort of patients. The investigators hypothesize that recurrent milk reflux into the airways of the premature babies worsen the inflammation of premature lungs and is a major contributor of CLD. The investigators hypothesize that Continuous feeding (CF) minimises GER and micro-aspiration, thereby reducing the incidence and severity of CLD in high-risk infants. Our aim is to compare the effect of intermittent bolus versus continuous intra-gastric feeding on the incidence and severity of CLD in very low birth weight infants ≤ 1250 grams.
The aims of this study are to evaluate the usefulness of various methods of quantifying right ventricular (RV) function using perioperative transoesophageal echocardiographic (TOE), compared with simultaneous transthoracic echocardiographic (TTE) findings.
CONTESSA TRIO is a multi-cohort, multicenter, Phase 2 study of tesetaxel, an investigational, orally administered taxane, in patients with metastatic breast cancer (MBC). In Cohort 1, approximately 200 patients with triple-negative MBC who have not received prior chemotherapy for advanced disease will be randomized 1:1:1 to receive tesetaxel plus either: (1) nivolumab; (2) pembrolizumab; or (3) atezolizumab. The primary efficacy endpoints for Cohort 1 are objective response rate (ORR) and progression free survival (PFS) in patients with programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) positive status. In Cohort 2, approximately 60 elderly patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) negative MBC who have not received prior chemotherapy for advanced disease will receive tesetaxel monotherapy. The primary efficacy endpoints for Cohort 2 are ORR and PFS in patients with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative disease. In Cohort 3, approximately 60 non-elderly adult patients with HER2-negative MBC who have not received prior chemotherapy for advanced disease will receive tesetaxel monotherapy. The primary efficacy endpoints for Cohort 3 are ORR and PFS in patients with HR positive, HER2-negative disease.
This study will determine the safety and tolerability and establish a preliminary recommended Phase 2 dose of V941(mRNA-5671/V941) as a monotherapy and in combination with pembrolizumab infusion.
The PaO2/FiO2 (P/F) ratio is same for all the Positive End Expiratory Pressure (PEEP) ≥ to 5. This P/F ratio misleads the severity of disease without the knowledge of set PEEP. The Oxygenation status is actually worse when the patient is using high PEEP. P/F Ratio doesn't include PEEP in the calculation. The P/F ratio doesn't show the severity of the disease appropriate for the set PEEP. PaO2/(FiO2 X PEEP) P/FP Ratio is a new Formula which addresses this gap to appropriately calculate the severity of the disease by including PEEP in the formula. This formula is used to predict mortality for different severities of ARDS.
The investigators are looking to determine the effects of PEMFs device on cerebral blood flow and cognition in healthy volunteers. Through in vitro tests and in vivo animal studies, the investigators have shown that at an extremely low flux density (strength) of 1 millitesla (mT) and with short exposures of 10 minutes a week, PEMFs can recapitulate many of the healthful benefits of exercise without imparting a mechanical stress on the tissues and cells. In the first-in-man study, 10 healthy volunteers were exposed to PEMFs for 6 weeks with 10 minutes of field exposure per week, and experienced an average increase of 30% in leg strength. No side effects were reported. In this study, the investigators aim to understand the cerebral effects of an exercise mimetic (PEMFs) via the muscle milieu.
