There are about 8563 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Sweden. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study will evaluate if clazosentan (on top of normal routine medical care) can reduce the risk of developing complications related to cerebral vasospasm and permanent brain damage as compared to normal routine medical care alone.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of itacitinib in combination with corticosteroids as first-line treatment for moderate or severe chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD).
Deceased donor uterus transplantation will be offered to patients that have either been excluded from Gothenburg II because of donor criteria or because of early graft failure in Gothenburg I and II
The purpose of this study was to establish safety and efficacy of ligelizumab in adolescent and adult subjects with Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU) who remain symptomatic despite standard of care treatment by demonstrating better efficacy over omalizumab and over placebo. The study population consisted of 1,072 male and female subjects aged ≥ 12 years who were diagnosed with CSU and who remained symptomatic despite the use of H1-antihistamines. This was a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, active- and placebo-controlled, parallel-group study. There was a screening period of up to 28 days, a 52 week double-blind treatment period, and a 12 week post-treatment follow-up period.
This study evaluates the safety and effectiveness Motiva Implants® in women who are undergoing primary breast augmentation, primary breast reconstruction or revision breast surgery.
The aim of this longitudinal study is to determine whether brain function is affected after a cardiac arrest. The primary question is whether cognitive function is affected after cardiac arrest and whether it changes over time (during the first year after the event), compared with a healthy control group. Brain function during cognitive tasks and emotion processing will also be studied using functional MRI (fMRI). Another aim is to study whether clinical outcomes such as PTSD, anxiety and depression can be correlated with cognitive function and whether health- related quality of life is affected after a cardiac arrest. The results from the cardiac arrest patient group will be compared with a healthy control group.
The aim of this study is to evaluate if modern technology such as smartphone applications can be used to facilitate lifestyle changes and thereby improve health-related quality of life in gainfully employed persons in the general population in Stockholm, Sweden. The hypothesis is that at follow-up, the intervention group that use the new application will have improved health-related quality of life and other lifestyle habits including diet, physical activity and sleep, as well as biomarkers, compared to a control group.
This randomized, single-blinded study will investigate the effects of Spinal Manipulative Therapy on Heart Rate Variability and Pain Sensitivity in a population of patients with recurrent and persistent neck pain. Alongside, the study will also develop a clinical test for Conditioned Pain Modulation and investigate its predictive properties.
Based on the high response rate in heavily pretreated patients with indolent B-cell lymphomas, among which it is likely that many have undetected transformed disease, the investigators hypothesize that idelalisib may also be active in relapsed DLBCL, particularly of the GCB subtype. Possibly, the efficacy may be related to the presence of specific mutations within the B-cell receptor pathway.
The study aim is to investigate whether preoperative heart failure has impact on hemodynamic stability during anesthesia induction by target controlled infusion of anesthesia (TCI) in non-cardiac, non-morbidly obese surgery.
