NCT ID: NCT03751150 Completed - Sports Injury Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Injury Prevention Guidelines in Recreational Runners

Start date: December 31, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this trial is to investigate the effectiveness of specific training programs on the incidence of injuries in recreational runners. 408 runners between the ages of 18 and 55 years, will be recruited and randomly allocated to either the intervention group or control group. The intervention group will perform the training program twice a week in addition to their regular training. Injury data will be collected as the injuries occur and documentation of injury will follow a predetermined definition of injury. Participants will submit weekly reports of their running distance, frequency, running-related pain, as well as successful performance of the assigned training program for the intervention groups. The primary outcome is the incidence of injuries in all groups.

NCT ID: NCT03750786 Completed - Colo-rectal Cancer Clinical Trials

AGENT
Start date: December 18, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multicenter, randomized, parallel-group, Phase III study in at least 440 patients with advanced colorectal cancer to compare the efficacy of treatment with arfolitixorin versus Leucovorin in combination with 5-fluorouracil, oxaliplatin, and bevacizumab according to modified FOLFOX-6 until PD according to RECIST 1.1 criteria.

NCT ID: NCT03749174 Completed - Radial Fracture Clinical Trials

Radius Fracture Anesthesia and Rehabilitation (RADAR)

RADAR
Start date: September 3, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Distal fracture of the radial bone is the commonest fracture and is also connected to osteoporosis. Normally the operation is performed under neuroaxial blockade and sedation. When the blockade rapidly vanish many patients experience a rebound pain much severer that than the actual trauma pain. If long acting local anesthetics are used this will occur during night time and many patients will go to the emergency room for pain treatment. Short acting local anesthetics may make it possible to treat patients pain in-house prior to leaving the hospital. In this study

NCT ID: NCT03749122 Completed - Surgery Clinical Trials

Time to Hip Fracture Surgery

Start date: January 1, 2006
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of the study is to evaluate how time from hospital admission to start of surgery influence mortality in patients with acute hip fracture. Data on patients with hip fracture surgery will be collected from the hospital's registration system and will be analyzed regarding age, gender, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Physical Status Classification, type of surgery and time from admission to surgery along with data on mortality.

NCT ID: NCT03748823 Completed - Clinical trials for Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria

Ravulizumab Subcutaneous (SC) Versus Ravulizumab Intravenous (IV) in Adults With Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) Currently Treated With Eculizumab

Start date: February 19, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate pharmacokinetics (PK) of ravulizumab administered subcutaneously via an on-body delivery system (OBDS) compared with intravenously administered ravulizumab in adult participants with PNH who are clinically stable on eculizumab for at least 3 months prior to study entry.

NCT ID: NCT03748641 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Castration-Resistant Prostatic Cancer

A Study of Niraparib in Combination With Abiraterone Acetate and Prednisone Versus Abiraterone Acetate and Prednisone for Treatment of Participants With Metastatic Prostate Cancer

MAGNITUDE
Start date: January 25, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of niraparib in combination with abiraterone acetate plus prednisone (AAP) compared to AAP and placebo.

NCT ID: NCT03748394 Recruiting - Work Capacity Clinical Trials

Interventions to Facilitate Working While Depressed and Anxious

Start date: February 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study compares the effects of two add-on interventions in primary care rehabilitation, on work ability and psychological health, in workers with common mental disorders. One intervention consists of a person-centered plan using work-directed treatment modules of occupational therapy and physical therapy, during 8 weeks. The other intervention consists of supported physical activity during 8 weeks. The primary outcome is work ability, measured by the work ability index and days on sick leave.

NCT ID: NCT03746873 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive

Increase Level of Physical Activity and Decrease Use of Health Care for People With COPD

This randomized clinical trial aims to generate evidence on the effect and usability of the COPD Web in a properly powered cohort of patients in primary care context.

NCT ID: NCT03746275 Completed - Atherosclerosis Clinical Trials

Study to Gain Insights in Treatment Patterns and Outcomes in Patients With Atherosclerosis Prescribed to Xarelto in Combination With Acetylsalicylic Acid

XATOA
Start date: November 13, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In this study researchers want to gain more information on treatment patterns of patients treated with Xarelto in combination with acetylsalicylic acid (ASA). Both drugs reduce the risk of blood clots via different pathways. The study will enroll adult patients suffering from coronary artery disease (narrowing or blockage of vessels that supply the heart with blood) or peripheral artery disease (narrowing or blockage of vessels that supply the legs or head with blood). The study will focus on information on when and why physicians are starting to treat patients with Xarelto in addition to ASA, treatment duration, reasons to discontinue treatment and previous therapies. The study will also look into treatment outcomes for patients being treated with a combination of Xarelto and ASA by their physicians.
