Dietary Fiber During Radiotherapy - a Placebo-controlled Randomized Trial

The investigators hypothesize that an increase in dietary fiber intake during radiation therapy may provide better long-term intestinal health for the cancer survivor. If the hypothesis is not correct, the increased intake may only mean an increase in acute side effects. All participants are advised to consume at least 16 g of dietary fiber/day via food. In addition, participants are invited to take capsules that together contain either 5.5 g of dietary fiber from psyllium husk or placebo.

TENecteplase in Central Retinal Artery Occlusion (TenCRAOS): A Prospective, randomized-controlled, double-dummy, double-blind phase 3 multi-centre trial of TNK 0.25 mg/kg + placebo vs. ASA + placebo (2 arms with 1:1 block randomization). A Prospective, randomized-controlled, double-dummy, double-blind phase 3 multi-centre trial of TNK 0.25 mg/kg + placebo vs. ASA + placebo (2 arms with 1:1 block randomization). At all participating centers, ophthalmologists are involved in the diagnosis and visual outcome measurements using a standardized protocol. The patients will be promptly examined by the ophthalmologist. As soon as the CRAO is diagnosed by the ophthalmologist, the patients will be managed in the stroke unit during treatment, monitoring, and medical investigations. After treatment in the stroke unit, the patients will be re-examined by an ophthalmologist and a neurologist as an out-patient at (30 ±5) and 90 (±15) days

The latissimus dorsi flap is the oldest and most used technique for breast reconstruction. Nonetheless, there are few studies evaluation the long-term effect of harvesting one of the muscles of the back. This project has four parts. 1. Validation of scales/instrument for Swedish. 2. Long-term results after reconstruction with latissimus dorsi- a ten year retrospective follow-up. 3. Thoracodorsal artery perforator flap (TDAP) vs latissimus dorsi flap- a randomized controlled trial - breast reconstruction. 4. TDAP vs Limber flap - a randomized controlled trial- reconstruction of axillary hidradenitis suppurativa.

Objective To investigate if conduction system pacing ((CSP) i.e. atrioventricular node ablation + His bundle pacing or Left Bundle Branch pacing) is as good as (or better than) atrial fibrillation ablation with pulmonary vein isolation for older patients (70-85yrs) with symptomatic atrial fibrillation and at least moderately dilated left atrium. Patient population: 90 patients aged 70-85 years with atrial fibrillation, referred to either AV node ablation or pulmonary vein isolation. Primary endpoint: Improvement in health-related quality of life as measured by the physical component summary (PCS) of the well-validated SF-36 form, at one year after AV node ablation + CSP or AF ablation. Secondary endpoints: Physical performance measured by 6-minute walk test, biochemical markers of heart failure (NT-ProBNP), frequency of complications, left ventricular systolic and diastolic function, and left atrial size evaluated after 12 months. Arrhythmia specific symptoms and anxiety will be measured with the ASTA and HADS questionnaires. Arrhythmia symptom correlation between subjective and objective findings. After three years, clinical endpoints will be evaluated regarding overall survival, and risk of heart failure hospitalization or death. The cost of the treatments will be compared, and estimated cost per quality adjusted year of life will be calculated, based on the EQ5D questionnaire.
