MERINO III
Start date: January 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether ceftolozane-tazobactam is as effective as meropenem with respect to 30 day mortality in the treatment of bloodstream infection due to third-generation cephalosporin non-susceptible Enterobacterales or a known chromosomal AmpC-producing Enterobacterales (Enterobacter spp., Citrobacter freundii, Morganella morganii, Providencia spp. or Serratia marcescens).

NCT ID: NCT04236115 Completed - Dental Extraction Clinical Trials

Comparison of Articaine and Prilocaine for Extraction of Maxillary Teeth

Start date: September 20, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Ninety-five patients, aged between 16 and 70 years old, were included in this study. Patients were divided into two groups. Group one received Articaine 4% with 1:00.000 Adrenalines. Group two received Prilocaine with 3% Felypressin (0.03 I.U. per ml). Onset time of anaesthesia was objectively evaluated by using electronic pulp testing.

NCT ID: NCT04235179 Recruiting - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Adjuvant Stereotactic Pelvic Irradiation in Endometrial Cancer

ASPIRE
Start date: January 16, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Stereotactic Ablative Radiation (SABR/SBRT) will be prescribed to a dose of 30 Gy in 5 fractions, once weekly to the pelvis in post operative patients with endometrial cancer.

NCT ID: NCT04229199 Completed - Anxiety Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Preoperative Tour in Simulation Operating Theater in Reducing Preoperative Anxiety in Children

Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

this study conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of preoperative tour to simulation operating theater on reducing children's and parents' preoperative anxiety. half of the participant were taken in a tour to a simulation operating theater before the day of operation and the other half were given the standard of care.

NCT ID: NCT04218318 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Neonatal Hyperbilirubinemia

Safe Threshold to Discontinue Phototherapy in Hemolytic Disease of Newborn

Start date: October 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

We hypothesized that adopting a lower rather than a higher threshold for phototherapy discontinuation will be associated with reduced rates of rebound hyperbilirubinemia in term and late preterm neonates with hemolytic disease of newborn. Objectives: The investigators aimed to compare the safety of implementing low-threshold, compared to high- threshold, of TSB for phototherapy interruption in term and late preterm neonates with hemolytic disease of newborn.

NCT ID: NCT04218084 Active, not recruiting - Sickle Cell Disease Clinical Trials

Study to Evaluate the Effect of GBT440 on TCD in Pediatrics With Sickle Cell Disease

HOPE Kids 2
Start date: November 11, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is a Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of voxelotor in pediatric participants, aged ≥ 2 to < 15 years old, with Sickle Cell Disease. The primary objective is to evaluate the effect of voxelotor on the TCD (Transcranial Doppler Ultrasound) measurements in SCD participants in this age range.

NCT ID: NCT04215354 Completed - Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Trials

Association Between Fatigue and Balance in Patients With Multiple Sclerosis

Start date: September 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The relationship between fatigue and balance was established. Fatigue was correlated with 8 parameters of balance scales. Moreover, there was a strong correlation between the level of fatigue from one side and depression, quality of life and disease severity from the other side.Fatigue seems to be the main problem in patients with MS which may influence other signs and symptoms such as balance.

NCT ID: NCT04213508 Not yet recruiting - Rhinosinusitis Clinical Trials

Type and Frequency of Nasal Irrigation in Rhinosinusitis Patients

Start date: February 1, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Rhinosinusitis is a common clinical problem with significant morbidity which alters patients' quality of life that has its effect on 1 out of 7 adults. It has been found that rhinosinusitis accounts for almost 26 million clinics and emergency visits per year in United states .Nasal irrigation is standard management used to treat a variety of sinonasal diseases. Furthermore, nasal irrigation decreases the need of usage other medications in rhinosinusitis .Hence, it is considered safe, inexpensive, and easy to use with no evidence of major adverse effects .Up to our knowledge, there is no clear guideline in which type (isotonic saline vs hypertonic saline) and frequency (times per day) of nasal irrigation are superior and better.

Prostate SABR With Intra-Prostatic SABR Boost

Start date: December 26, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Stereotactic Ablative Radiation (SABR/SBRT) will be prescribed to a dose of 35 Gy in 5 fractions, once weekly to prostate with a simultaneous intra-prostatic boost to the MR detected nodule up to 50Gy. The pelvic lymph nodes and seminal vesicles will also receive 25 Gy in 5 weekly fractions.
