The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of multiple doses of vortioxetine, once daily (QD), in participants with major depressive disorder.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate user satisfaction and tolerability in young women (18-29 years of age) using the LCS12 compared with young women using a COC (Yasmin) over a period of 18 months. Subjects in the LCS12 arm will be offered continued use of LCS12 for the full, intended duration of use (up to 3 years) by continuing in a optional, extension phase. Safety data only will be collected during the extension phase of the study. Secondary objectives are to observe the tolerability, discontinuation rates, adverse event profiles, occurrences of unintended pregnancies (including calculation of Pearl Index [PI]), and bleeding profiles with the two birth-control methods. Additionally, data on missed tablets in the combined oral contraceptive (COC) group, and intrauterine delivery system (IUS) expulsions in the LCS12 group will be recorded. In the LCS12 group, physician satisfaction with the IUS inserter, evaluation of the visibility and texture of the removal threads, and evaluation of the visibility of the LCS12 on ultrasound (in a subset of subjects) will be collected. Finally, in the COC group, information will be collected on the psychosocial impact of missed or delayed pill intake.

This extension study is designed to assess the safety of GSK Biological's HPV vaccine GSK580299 in female subjects who took part in the primary study NCT00294047 and received the control vaccine in countries for which the licensed GSK HPV vaccine is not indicated for the subject's age group (26 years and older). This study is thus conducted to enable all women who received the control placebo in the primary NCT00294047 study to receive the GSK580299 vaccine.
This randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, parallel-group study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of ocrelizumab in comparison with interferon beta-1a (Rebif) in participants with relapsing multiple sclerosis. Participants will be randomized to receive either ocrelizumab 600 mg or matching placebo intravenous (IV) as 300 mg infusions on Days 1 and 15 for the first dose and as a single infusion of 600 mg for all subsequent infusions every 24 weeks, with placebo injections matching interferon beta-1a SC three times per week; or interferon beta-1a 44 mcg SC injections three times per week (with placebo infusions matching ocrelizumab infusions every 24 weeks). Planned duration of double-blind treatment is 96 weeks. Participants who complete the 96-week double-blind treatment will have an option to enter a single-group, active-treatment, open-label extension period, providing they fulfill the eligibility criteria.
This is a two-arm, open-label, randomized Phase III study comparing single agent GSK1120212 to chemotherapy (either dacarbazine or paclitaxel) in subjects with Stage IIIc or Stage IV malignant cutaneous melanoma. All subjects must have a BRAF mutation-positive tumour sample. Subjects who have received up to one prior regimen of chemotherapy in the advanced or metastatic melanoma setting will be enrolled into the study. Subjects with any prior BRAF or MEK inhibitor use will be excluded. Approximately 297 subjects will be enrolled with 2:1 randomization (198 subjects into the GSK1120212 arm and 99 subjects into the chemotherapy arm). The primary endpoint for the statistical analysis will be a comparison of progression free survival for subjects receiving GSK1120212 compared to chemotherapy. Subjects who have progression on chemotherapy will be offered the option to receive GSK1120212.
