Patients may be enrolled from historical studies supported or sponsored by Roche, ongoing studies supported or sponsored by Roche or from general medical practice. The follow-up of patients who choose to participate in this study will be in accordance with the ongoing studies or with the general medical practice of the physician. Data from whole blood DNA samples collected in the GV28555 study or available from previously collected Roche Clinical Repository (RCR) samples will be used for combined analysis with data from other applicable studies. Procedures will include blood sample collection (not applicable for patients who previously have consented and donated RCR DNA samples) and medical record capture.

NCT ID: NCT01851824 Completed - Clinical trials for Malignant Melanoma, Neoplasms

A Study of the Effect of Vemurafenib on the Pharmacokinetics of Acenocoumarol in Patients With BRAFV600 Mutation-Positive Metastatic Malignancy

Start date: August 2013
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This open-label, multicenter, 3-period, fixed-sequence study will evaluate the effect of multiple doses of vemurafenib on the pharmacokinetics of a single dose of acenocoumarol in participants with BRAFV600 mutation-positive metastatic malignancies. Participants will receive a single dose of acenocoumarol 4 mg orally on Day 1 and Day 23, vemurafenib 960 mg orally twice daily on Days 4-26. After completion of pharmacokinetic assessments on Day 26, eligible participants will have the option to continue treatment with vemurafenib as part of an extension study (GO28399 [NCT01739764]).

Start date: February 2013
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Observational

A Phase 4 study is to characterize the profile of low bone mineral density (BMD) in ≥ 50 year old male subjects and post-menopausal female subjects on any tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF)-based regimen

NCT ID: NCT01845909 Active, not recruiting - Cardiomyopathies Clinical Trials

Sudden Cardiac Death - Screening Of Risk Factors

SCD-SOS
Start date: February 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The investigators have created a way of quickly collecting information in a large scale young population regarding the presence of some severity indicators that may allow us to classify them into: seemingly "low risk" and possible "elevated risk" for the presence of heart disease. It would have to be a short questionnaire, in order to receive a great adherence but that could simultaneously provide precise information, with an adequate description of symptoms and warning signs, in a way that a triage in the young adult population could be performed in the general young adult population in order to select individuals with an indication for personalized clinical evaluation and possible need of complementary diagnostic means. Based on this premise the investigators have developed a fast-response questionnaire named the Sudden Cardiac Death Screening Of risk factorS (SCD-SOS). This questionnaire has already been tested in a population of approximately 1500 young adults, and some changes have been introduced in order to refine its performance. To best of the investigators knowledge, there are no large scale European surveys estimating the prevalence of cardiac disease and associated clinical symptoms in a non-selected (non-athlete) population of this age group. Purpose: To screen a young adult population from central regional of Portugal for heart disease possibly associated to a high risk of Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD). To determine the national prevalence of clinical symptoms of heart disease and of heart disease with increased risk for SCD in this age group. To detect young adults in risk of SCD and with an indication for evaluation by a cardiologist, and possible need of: - medical treatment - electrophysiologic (EP) study and percutaneous ablation - an implantable cardiovertor defibrillator - a pacemaker - other type of specialized cardiac intervention

NCT ID: NCT01835808 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Portuguese Study on The Evaluation of FFR Guided Treatment of Coronary Disease

POST-IT
Start date: March 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Functional evaluation of coronary lesions, through the evaluation of fractional flow reserve (FFR) with pressure-wire in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) was evaluated in a randomised trial - the FAME trial - where it was showed to be superior to classic anatomical evaluation. Based on these results, current guidelines recommend the use of FFR (class I-A recommendation) when objective evidence of vessel-related ischemia is not available. Since the FAME trial was published, FFR use increased dramatically in most European countries, Portugal being no exception to this trend. FFR is currently being used in many interventional cardiology centres quite beyond the European Guidelines recommendation, since many physicians now trust more on the information they can collect with pressure-wire during the angiography, and less on non invasive imaging stress tests. Considering this widespread use of FFR in the evaluation of patients with CAD, there is a need to clarify the clinical results of this approach in a "real patient setting". The Portuguese Study on The Evaluation of FFR Guided Treatment of Coronary Disease (POST-IT) was planned to evaluate if the use of FFR in the decision of coronary revascularization is feasible and allows optimized clinical results in "real world" non selected patients, as showed in clinical randomised trials.
