REMAP-CAP is a randomised, embedded, multifactorial, adaptive platform trial for community-acquired pneumonia. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of a range of interventions to improve outcome of patients admitted to intensive care with community-acquired pneumonia. In addition, REMAP-CAP provides and adaptive research platform for evaluation of multiple treatment modalities in the event of a respiratory pandemic such as COVID-19. REMAP-COVID is a sub-platform of REMAP-CAP that evaluates treatments specific to COVID-19 in the United States of America.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of several combination therapies for Multiple Myeloma. Upon entry into the study, patients will be randomized (assigned by chance) to receive either: Group 1: nivolumab, pomalidomide and dexamethasone OR Group 2: pomalidomide and dexamethasone OR Group 3: nivolumab, elotuzumab, pomalidomide and dexamethasone. The primary objective of this Non Interventional Study is to measure changes in physical functioning, a surrogate for physical activity and exercise capacity, in COPD patients on treatment with Spiolto® Respimat® in routine daily treatment after approximately 6 weeks. A secondary objective is to evaluate the patient's general condition (physician's evaluation) from Visit 1 (baseline visit at the start of the study) to Visit 2 (final visit at the end of the study, approx. 6 weeks after Visit 1), as well as patient satisfaction with Spiolto® Respimat® at Visit 2.
The main purpose of this research is to develop a population pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic model of Propofol when used for induction and maintenance of anaesthesia, using BIS as a pharmacodynamic endpoint. A covariate analysis will be performed in order to account for variability in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic parameters. The influence of age and obesity on propofol pharmacokinetic parameters will be particularly addressed.
Tanezumab is a monoclonal antibody that binds to and inhibits the actions of nerve growth factor (NGF). The Nerve Growth Factor Inhibitor (NGFI) class may offer an important breakthrough in the treatment of chronic pain and is under clinical investigation for the treatment of pain associated with osteoarthritis or other chronic pain conditions. The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate superior efficacy of tanezumab 5 mg and 2.5 mg administered subcutaneously (SC) every 8 weeks versus placebo at Week 24 in subjects with osteoarthritis of the knee or hip. The 2.5 mg dose was shown to provide efficacy benefits with a favorable safety profile when administered intravenously in previous Phase 3 clinical trials. The 5 mg dose is expected to provide added efficacy benefit over the 2.5 mg dose based on data from previous studies.
