NCT ID: NCT03094715 Terminated - Stroke, Acute Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of Thrombectomy in Stroke With Extended Lesion and Extended Time Window

Tension
Start date: June 20, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

TENSION (Efficacy and safety of ThrombEctomy iN Stroke with extended leSION and extended time window) is a prospective, open label, blinded endpoint (PROBE), European two-arm, randomized, controlled, post-market study to compare the safety and effectiveness of endovascular thrombectomy as compared to best medical care alone in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke patients with extended stroke lesions defined by an Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS) score of 3-5 and in an extended time window (up to 12 hours or unknown time of symptom onset). Up to 665 subjects will be randomized. Primary endpoint will be functional outcome assessed by the modified Rankin scale at 90 days post-stroke ("mRS shift analysis"). By this, TENSION will provide evidence of efficacy and safety of thrombectomy in an acute stroke population with uncertain benefit of endovascular stroke treatment.

NCT ID: NCT03094195 Terminated - Clinical trials for Post-herpetic Neuralgia

Dose Response Study of EMA401 in Patients With Post-herpetic Neuralgia (PHN)

EMPHENE
Start date: June 27, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study was designed to characterize dose response, and evaluate safety and efficacy of three different doses of EMA401 compared to placebo in patients with post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN).

NCT ID: NCT03057067 Terminated - Pelvic Pain Clinical Trials

Embolization of Pelvic Varicosities in Patients With Pelvic Congestion Syndrome

Start date: May 19, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Results of recent systematic reviews suggest favorable results of embolization for the treatment of Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS) compared with pre-procedure symptoms for several outcomes, including pain reduction, overall patient satisfaction, and technical feasibility. Reported complication rates appears relatively low. Pelvic vein embolization is a relatively new technology and the results may provide background for an evidence based decision to offer embolization of pelvic varicosities for women with PCS in Norway.

NCT ID: NCT03041116 Terminated - Clinical trials for Pantothenate Kinase-Associated Neurodegeneration

Efficacy and Safety Study of Fosmetpantotenate (RE-024) in PKAN Participants

PKAN
Start date: July 17, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study investigated whether fosmetpantotenate (RE-024), a phosphopantothenate replacement therapy, was safe and effective in treating participants with PKAN.

NCT ID: NCT03033511 Terminated - Clinical trials for Small Cell Lung Cancer

A Study of Rovalpituzumab Tesirine as Maintenance Therapy Following First- Line Platinum-Based Chemotherapy in Participants With Extensive Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer (MERU)

MERU
Start date: February 7, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multinational, and multicenter study to evaluate the efficacy of rovalpituzumab tesirine as maintenance therapy following first-line platinum-based chemotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT03028740 Terminated - Clinical trials for Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis

AURORA: A Study for the Efficacy and Safety of Cenicriviroc (CVC) for the Treatment of Liver Fibrosis in Adults With Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)

AURORA
Start date: April 5, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The AURORA study will be conducted to confirm the efficacy and safety of cenicriviroc (CVC) for the treatment of liver fibrosis in adult participants with NASH.

NCT ID: NCT03025412 Terminated - Tendinopathy Clinical Trials

A Comparison of Endoscopic Surgery and Exercise Therapy in Patients With Longstanding Achilles Tendinopathy

Start date: April 19, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Exercise is a preferred treatment modality for mid-portion achilles tendinopathy. Despite this, as many as 44 % of achilles tendinopathy patients do not respond to exercise treatment. Surgery for midportion achilles tendinopathy has for many years been done as an open procedure. New knowledge resulted in a variety of minimally invasive procedures and the development of endoscopic surgery. In this study, the effect of non-open surgery and conservative treatment (physiotherapy and exercises) will be compared.

NCT ID: NCT03022838 Terminated - Migraine Clinical Trials

The Effects of Caffeine Withdrawal on Migraine

Start date: February 28, 2017
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Sporadic and chronic dietary consumption of caffeine has substantial biological effects on the nervous system. The effects on migraine are at large not known. In this study we want to assess the effects of caffeine withdrawal on migraine.

NCT ID: NCT03013127 Terminated - Osteosarcoma Clinical Trials

A Study of Pembrolizumab in Patients With Relapsed Or Metastatic Osteosarcoma Not Eligible for Curative Surgery

PROMO
Start date: May 30, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase II, single arm, open-label, interventional trial of pembrolizumab (MK-3475) in patients with osteosarcoma who have experienced disease relapse or progression after at least one line of systemic treatment, and who are not eligible for curative surgery.

NCT ID: NCT02998008 Terminated - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Effects of Acute High Intensity Exercise Training on Cardiac Function in Type II Diabetes

Start date: January 2, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

It is known from research that long-term exercise exposure in type 2 diabetes had positive effects. However, the effect of acute exercise in a patient group with already reduced cardiac function is not known. In this study, the impact of acute exhaustive high intensity interval training on cardiac function will be investigated in type 2 diabetes patients. One single session of exhaustive high intensity interval exercise training is expected to lead to a greater cardiac stress in diabetics than in non-diabetics, and in addition the right ventricle of the heart is expected to be more affected than the left ventricle.
