There are about 5161 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Norway. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to assess if 10 mg Bay 59-7939, taken once daily as a tablet, is safe and prevents blood clot which may form after a knee replacement operation.
Based on previous clinical studies indicating beneficial treatment effects of omega-3 fatty acids in multiple sclerosis, and the increasing evidence of anti-inflammatory effects of omega-3 fatty acids, this study aims to evaluate treatment effects of concentrated omega-3 fatty acids (Triomar™) in MS, both as monotherapy and in combination with standard immunomodulatory therapy defined as interferon-beta 1a (Rebif™).
To investigate the efficacy of GV1001 in sequential combination with gemcitabine in locally advanced and metastatic adenocarcinoma of the pancreas.
The purpose of the study is to determine the efficacy of treatment of anemia with darbepoetin alfa compared to placebo on the composite of time to death from any cause or first hospital admission for worsening heart failure in patients with symptomatic left ventricular systolic dysfunction and anemia.
The purpose of this study is to compare the hemostatic efficacy and safety of continuous infusion versus intermittent bolus infusion in the peri- and post-operative setting, employing rAHF-PFM, a recombinant antihemophilic factor manufactured without added human or animal proteins, in previously treated patients with severe or moderately severe hemophilia A (baseline factor VIII level <= 2% of normal) who are undergoing unilateral major orthopedic surgery that requires drain placement. The total study period per subject (from consent to study completion) will vary from approximately 9 to 26 weeks and will involve clinical and laboratory assessments.
Purpose is to compare the frequency of events (presence of Disseminated Tumour Cells, clinical recurrence and/or death) after 1 and 2 years of adjuvant treatment with anastrozole and fulvestrant or anastrozole alone in patients with early breast cancer.
The primary objective is to demonstrate the efficacy of dianicline as an aid to smoking cessation in cigarette smokers. The main secondary objectives are: to assess the craving for cigarettes, nicotine withdrawal symptoms and the safety of dianicline.
To compare efficacy and safety of Exubera® vs Humalog in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus
The treatment of ADHD in jail will help the prisoners in their rehabilitation process
The investigators want to test a navigation system for guidance during insertion of stent graft in abdominal aortic aneurysms. The navigation system consists of software developed by SINTEF Health, a custom made catheter with a micro position sensor in the tip and an emitter than induces an electromagnetic field around the patient. Preoperative CT- and intraoperative DynaCT- data are reconstructed into 3 dimensional images. The 3 dimensional images are loaded into the navigation system. Then the magnetic field, in which the patient finds himself, is calibrated with the 3 dimensional images. When the catheter is inserted into the iliac artery and aorta, the position sensor (in the tip of the catheter) is displayed in real time at the exact anatomic location in the 3 dimensional image. Null hypothesis (H0): - Insertion of stent graft is performed equally satisfactorily with fluoroscopy alone as with both fluoroscopy and new navigation technology Alternative hypothesis (H2): - Insertion of stent graft is NOT performed equally satisfactorily with fluoroscopy alone as with both fluoroscopy and new navigation technology
