There are about 13332 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Netherlands. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to study the effects of nursing home visits in independently living elderly people on their functional performance and health-related quality of life. The general practitioner (GP) can refer elderly people to this intervention model after identification of a problem in cognition, mood, behavior, mobility, or nutrition. A specialist geriatric nurse visits the patients at home up to six times and coaches the patient in cooperation with the GP and geriatrician.

Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA)-associated vasculitis is the most common type of small blood vessel inflammation in adults. ANCA-associated vasculitis includes Wegener's granulomatosis (WG) and microscopic polyangiitis (MPA). Rituximab is a man-made antibody used to treat certain types of cancer. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of rituximab in treating patients with WG and MPA. Study hypothesis: Rituximab is not inferior to conventional therapy in its ability to induce disease remission by Month 6.

The patients participating in this study will take orally once daily xaliproden or placebo (inactive substance pill).
The purpose of this study is to evaluate time to progression, overall survival, response rate and safety for the two open-label treatment groups; DOXIL/CAELYX in combination with VELCADE vs. VELCADE monotherapy.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Gefitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving gemcitabine and cisplatin together with gefitinib before surgery may shrink the tumor so it can be removed. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving gemcitabine and cisplatin together with gefitinib works in treating patients who are undergoing surgery for stage III non-small cell lung cancer.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether lowering of fasting homocysteine concentrations improves vascular function in healthy volunteers, irrespective of the homocysteine-lowering agent.
This study is a randomized Phase 3, double-blind study of maintenance pemetrexed plus best supportive care versus placebo plus best supportive care in NSCLC. Participants must have received 1 of 6 induction regimens for 4 cycles and did not have progressive disease prior to randomization (enrollment) into this trial.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether supplementation with phosphatidylcholine lowers plasma homocysteine concentrations in healthy men.
